Over 200 club!
HI! My name is Laura and i am 5-5 and 235 lbs as of today. I did weigh 240 almot 2 weeks ago. I am counting calories cuz I do not know what ele to do. When i gave birth, I only weighed 201 lbs! My son is 5(his bday is halloween). I cant believe i have put on so much lately. I have high blood pressure so I am on Diovan. I am also on protonix( for heartburn). I took myself off depo provera lat Sept and currently have the IUD, Mirena. Birth control was part of it but that is why I switched to IUD. I am taking it slow, and watching what I eat. I guess I am supposed to stay under 1700 calories and I walked 20 minutes today. I hate exercise now but I have to do it to lose weight the old fashioned Way!

lavin - Welcome! I wish I had some hints on losing in certain areas of the body!! I'd like to transfer some of my gut to my boobs and butt. You know as an Asian I'm built like a boy. No boobs, no ass. hahahha!! Congrats on the 16 pounds! That's great! I just hit the 10 pound mark yesterday myself - although it took me a month.

mabear-I did get a chance to read some of your first posts...and tamales...all I gotta say is I'm trying to stay away from them right now. I had a couple for the New Year thing but they are as hard to be good about as chips for me! How the heck do you manage those with 4 kids around!?!?!? If you can do that, there isn't much you can't do!
I got off my 2-week standstill and lost 3 pounds at this week's weigh in! I am not at 256 and glad to be there. KT, I just might make 250 for April!!!

can't really give you any help lavin. Your body loses where it wants to. My body never lets go of my ass, which my b/f loves lol. It is plenty happy to say bye bye to my chest though! O well, not much we can do about that. Maybe try to do exercises for your butt to tone it haha
woohoo vk! That's awesome! I think I'll make my April goal too! I've lost 3 pounds so far and still have 3 more to lose if I make my goal. And I'll be under 220! I'm like ecstatic!

I just made it under 220 yeterday or the day before and it was awesome! I got excited and let out a whoop! My april goal is 215. I hope I can make it!

Monday, Monday, Monday!!! I have to say that I am in the craziest of moods today... I feel as though I am hyped up on Caffine, but I have none in me! I am just full of all natural energy today!! It is absolutely AWESOME! Luckily my co-workers can be crazy at times to, so they are just going along with it and all of the "Monday morning blues" appear to be gone from the office! Just a great morning for me!!

Goal for April is to hit my 10% body weight loss. Which will be 220.5.......only 9 pounds to go.

Hmmm...I don't have an April goal yet. I'll have to think about it. My original goal was to get under 200 lbs. before June 15th. I just might hit that goal by the end of April. I thought I'd take things really slow and see what happens.

hello all, want to thank everyone for their suggestions and to let you guys know and that I stuck to my plan and when I got up this morning two of the previous three pounds were gone!!!! YEAH!!! however I gave my self Jeers for weighing in afain after I read through yesterdays logs. I am on track today so Far soooo good. However It is also that time of the month. My daughter has hid the chocolate supply!! I am sure I will do fine. Well I'm off to hit the bike just sat through four hours of lecture I need to move my bones a bit I'll check in later. I want to also try to commit to only weighing in once a week, since I weighed today I'll make my day monday.
It was great to catch up on all the posts since yesterday...what energy...what RA RA RA ing you guys have been doing...it is contagious.

I need your help now for the next 8 weeks. I see a counselor for working with my boys. She sees my youngest in person and then I go for the oldest and tell her what he's doing and she offers suggestions. I told her of a problem I have had in the past and she said to change my thinking and inner dialogue and to tell everyone that I need support for the next 8 weeks. In a nut shell...I got down to 240 19 years ago and met my ex-husband. I divorced him as soon as safely could and then gained a ton of weight. 1 and 1/2 years ago I got down to 238 and then things got really bad between my husband, Jay, and I. I put on 37 pounds then all the way up to 275.
Things got better between us and in January I started losing again. Yesterday I weighed in at 246.5. I want to get past this and be 230 right now. If anyone has a magic pill for 16.5 lbs I am willing to try it..."smiles here" but since that isn't possible, I need to stay on track and get through the next eight weeks. That is my goal for april and then May, 2 lbs a week. I can do this.
I wish to be accountable for my calories and my working out. I have been so focused on it and am driving my husband nuts with charting everything but if I focus on that and not 240...I feel better.
Everyone is posting their goal for April here...My workout goal is 45 minutes 6 days a week or 270 minutes a week. (270 lets me drop a little one day and pick it up the next if I need to.) I have to drink 49 ounces of water plus all the other stuff I drink each day. I can have between 1900 and 2100 caloires a day with an average of 14000 for the week. I have been focusing on the numbers and reading everyone's posts now daily. Eight weeks is a very short time. Suggestions???
Will I make anyone crazy if I post what I have done here???

Lavin-no real tips but an observation on my end (no pun intended)....I noticed when I do my walking regularly my butt gets firmer and seems to stick out a little more. I have a bubble butt so depending on my mood it could be a good or a bad thing. Lol

Ginny-post away! 2 pounds a week can be doable...especially if you keep up with your exercises. Remember your journal too, I noticed that has helped me keep myself in focus (thanks hye).
