Over 200 club!
HI! My name is Laura and i am 5-5 and 235 lbs as of today. I did weigh 240 almot 2 weeks ago. I am counting calories cuz I do not know what ele to do. When i gave birth, I only weighed 201 lbs! My son is 5(his bday is halloween). I cant believe i have put on so much lately. I have high blood pressure so I am on Diovan. I am also on protonix( for heartburn). I took myself off depo provera lat Sept and currently have the IUD, Mirena. Birth control was part of it but that is why I switched to IUD. I am taking it slow, and watching what I eat. I guess I am supposed to stay under 1700 calories and I walked 20 minutes today. I hate exercise now but I have to do it to lose weight the old fashioned Way!

well my week on measurements i did today womorrow i weight im nervous however i did lose 7 3/4 inches, that is from all the areas recomeneded to measure chest,bust,arms,waist,hips,thighs and calves.......so im not sure if that is good or not for a week, but im happy ill find out in the morning my weight loss!!
you lost almost 8 inches in a week??? omg that's awesome. I need to do measurements but I havent gotten a measuring tape yet. i should do it.

(she's only 9 and doesn't understand big girl panties...only whether they are polka dotted or striped!!!)

What a fun weekend! I didn't do any laundry or my regular weekend cleaning either...I've been bad! I've been playing outside instead. Thank goodness not bad with food. I didn't get my A on Saturday, but I was in my limits. Maybe next weekend I'll alot myself some beer calories. The nice thing about all this is I catch a nice buzz much faster than ever. Lol Oh, is that something I should be proud of??? Hmm....

I had a great weekend with the my husband BUT, not so great nutritionally or calorie-wise. I did get back on track today but, I'm afraid what the scale will say tomorrow morning. I have no one to blame but myself. I knew I was being bad. I just wonder how bad was I??
Tomorrow, I'm going to add a workout. I think when I'm focused I can do the calorie thing pretty good and very good about eating good as well. So, it's time I step it up a notch and add a workout again. My goal is do something active for 20 minutes, a workout dvd or a brisk walk. I'll try to do that 3 times a week and go from there. I'll gradually build it up. Cross your fingers and wish me luck!!

hye- i'm tryin to add working out in again. i don't think I've been to teh gym for the past like 3 weeks! it sucks adn I think that's why I haven't been losing as much. so i need to make the time for it even though time's been so tight lately.

KT - I'm gonna start slow. I don't wanna overdo it. When I first started CC, I overdid it. Too many changes all at once. So, I stopped the workout portion and concentrated on the eating. Now, I feel like I'm ready to add something. So, I'll add a short workout and move my way up from there. Right now, my goal is to workout 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes. I let you know how it's going.
well....official w/i was up 1.5 pounds. sigh.... but i'm okay. I looked back in my book , and i did this exact same thing 4 weeks ago. No, it's not that TOM, but it is exactly 2 weeks since then. I'll just keep chugging along!!!

itsmy - No, the scale was not nice to me at all. I've also gained 1.5 lbs this past week. At this rate I will not be hitting my April goal of under 200. I'm at 205.2 right now. I have to admit it was not a surprise for me. I haven't been very good the past week or so but, I didn't realize that I was that bad.
So, today...I'm back to my oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast, drinking lots of water and a healthy lunch, snacks and dinner. I've been bad about eating at regular intervals which is important to keep your metabolism constantly working. I've also been bad about eating salty foods. I could tell yesterday that I was feeling a little bit puffy all over the place. I think my body got used to eating healthy and it's its way of saying stop eating crap! Give me the healthy stuff!!
I'm a little down in the dumps but, at least I know why.

Friday I started some veggies inside and Saturday I cleaned out the barn. Another 3 weeks and I should be able to plant my flowers and then my veggies outside. I am looking forward to a bigger garden this year.

I did lose 2.5 pounds for the week. Like Hye said, it finally did catch up with me. I am now at 244.

One last thing before I go outside to do chores...isn't so cool when you first open the C-C page it tells you there are so many people on the site including so many members. It is so COOL to me that I am not alone and that there are so many people out there doing the same thing as me.

Dangit...i was doing great until i heard of the death of an old friend, then i ate all wrong for three days and gained 4 lbs. I'm getting it under control again though, and i'm going down again. I'm still 3.2 lbs over my low weight last week, though. Sure is frustrating! It's always been the emotional stuff that does this to9 me, though, so it just proves it's still a battle to control the emotional binging. Carrot cake after the funeral at the church, and soda pop, chicken leg and chips for dinner, and TWO SLICES OF AMERICAN CHEESE FOR A SNACK! What was i thinking? COMFORT FOOD....bad idea...didn't bring my friend back, and didn't really make me feel better. Watched a show about people over 300 lbs last night...one was 1230 lbs, another was 750 lbs....got my attention and warned me i could get there if i don't watch myself. Scared me straight so to speak...:-)
good job carol on stopping and it will come back under control and the few pounds you gained will go away again... I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

Found this on a website page supported at my job. Thought it did a nice job of putting things into perspective. Especially since I had such a horrible day yesterday. Bad food all day, family emergency late in the eveing which led to more spontaneous bad eating, went well over my calories and no exercise and even less sleep. Good thing I don't weigh in until Tuesday or Wednesday.
My husband brought home chocolate creme filled donuts for breakfast (talk about negative support) yesterday morning (my fave!) and I couldn't resist, but I did only have 1/2. Then I ate too many pecans yesterday. Way high in fat and calories, then I ate my kids' leftover SOUR cotton candy (another fave, especially when sour!). I just had no will power after that. I think sugar itself makes you feel hungry or hungrier than what you really are....
I PROMISE to do much better today.

Hi All! i am glad everyone had a great weekend! I gained a pound but i think its salt. I had chips this weekend and loved them but i feel bloated too. Hopefully I will cleanse my body out today.....hehe
I had a water and now diet squirt ( I crave some pop)
I am tired today but I only had a yogurt smoothie so far!
We leave next friday for Our Indiana trip for the weekend! My cousin is getting married!! I never met her but I am wanting to see my Uncles I havent seen since my wedding in 99....and 2 more uncles i havent seen since 87!!

When I hit 300, I thought, if I can get that high, I could easily end up at 400 or more and I knew it was time to attack the problem before it got any more out of control. As hard as it is to realize I have a whole persons worth of weight to lose, it must feel so hopeless to be at those even higher weights.
