HI! My name is Laura and i am 5-5 and 235 lbs as of today. I did weigh 240 almot 2 weeks ago. I am counting calories cuz I do not know what ele to do. When i gave birth, I only weighed 201 lbs! My son is 5(his bday is halloween). I cant believe i have put on so much lately. I have high blood pressure so I am on Diovan. I am also on protonix( for heartburn). I took myself off depo provera lat Sept and currently have the IUD, Mirena. Birth control was part of it but that is why I switched to IUD. I am taking it slow, and watching what I eat. I guess I am supposed to stay under 1700 calories and I walked 20 minutes today. I hate exercise now but I have to do it to lose weight the old fashioned Way!

I'm glad I followed your lead Itsmy and stayed with the Monday weigh in. You were right, it does keep me more aware of my food on the weekends. Although I must say, I am still struggling staying on meal/snack schedule on the w/e. Thank goodness the scale doesn't notice!!!

Had a nice weekend. Hubby took me out to supper....Joey's Only....had fish and garlic shrimp and parsley potatoes and steamed veggies. Very nummy and managed to stay within my calories so I was very happy about that. We had a nice relaxing time. We hardly ever do that....go out for supper so it was a special treat and I love shrimp and fish.
I have an extra client now so I'll be working steady more then ever...:( Wish I didn't need the money so bad but that's life I guess. So I may not be on here as much either but will check in, hopefully once a day at least. Need my motivators...you guys are great. :)

I so cheated yesterday and Sat night.. We went to mexican resaturant Sat night and I only had a titanico taco, chips and salsa, and tequila shot and a margarita!!
Yesterday my 5 yr old son Jr, surprised me with Lucky Charms and soymilk in bed! My 7 yr old, Selena, gave me a cereal bar.. I ate one bite of the cereal bar and ate all the cereal. My son was the only one up and made it all by his little self. I had a good day...We had a cookout for my mom and we made steak, potatoes, sald, and strawberries. I think I went way over this weekend but it was well worth it. I havent ate yet today, prob cuz i ate so good this weekend!!

Well congrats on all the losses!Very inspirational! Well i am half way through the day and have not gone overboard. This is an extremely difficult task as my cube mate - has a fishbowl full of candy - all the good stuff and it is terribly tempting... but so far so good. I like the idea of monday weigh ins... so I guess Im gonna join you guys and divulge my stats for the first time next week...Hopefully a loss will be the result.

Good Afternoon everyone! So sorry I haven't been on since... YESTERDAY.... Finals tomorrow for school, studying like a maniac... I took the day off work one. because I was not feeling well this morning and two to study! AGH... Anyway, so far today have had 610 calories... All from my bagel sandwich on whole grain bagel and my Activia Yogurt... I am SOOOO full now though.... Looking at approx. 600 calories for dinner and some exercise with my cheer team tonight... May hit up the gym, still unsure! Went yesterday and LOVED it... My elliptical machine loves me! I do manual and then add resistance by threes for forty five minutes... Got up to Resistance level 9 for forty five minutes and burned 480 calories! WHEW Good luck today!!! I think I am going to join ya'll and weigh in on Monday... I will post my stats on Monday! (However, since the 16th will be my one month, I will weigh in on that day to see how far I have gone!)

Aww itsmy...you remembered that today was w/i day for me too...but my meeting is not until 5:30pm so I am later than most of you.
I thought it would be awful...I ate badly all week...I was mentally prepared for a gain...and I lost 2.6...woohoo!!! I am down a total of 9.8 since April 23...can you believe it? I can't...
Congrats to everyone who had a loss and to everyone who had successes that might not have included weight loss! Cookouts...special dinners...all part of Mother's Day! And I hope that everyone had a terrific day!!
I had a successful day...22 points so far...and even a McDonald's alad for dinner!! No cheating this week...I have got to show a loss even next week, though my leader says not to be surprised if my poor eating catches up with me at next week's weigh-in...so I am more determined as ever to show another loss!!!

Well I didn't overeat at my moms but unfortunately it was because I was really upset and not because I had willpower. This was the first time I've ever had a crappy mother's day. My sister and stepdad and my mom were fighting and I got myself in the middle of it and I've been really depressed ever since. Before my stepdad came into the picture we all got along really well and had so much fun together and now it's just a nightmare. I've decided I need to stay out of it and stop trying to be peacemaker cuz it just got me in trouble. yuk! I haven't eaten much today either so maybe at least I'll lose weight. Anyway, I'll be okay and hopefully everything will work itself out. I'm just having myself a royal pity party.

Hey everyone! How's it losing? I weighed today and I'm at 237.5 again, and again, and again. But I looked at my chart and it looks like my trend is trying to head down. I just have to get to 234 to reach my first goal. I overdid it Saturday and Sunday (Saturday was almost 2400 cals and Sunday was nearly 3000). So considering everything, I think I was pretty happy to see 237.5 and not 241.
Last Monday was 235, Wednesday was 239, and today (Monday) 237.5. I've had 1920 calories today. I will weigh again on Wednesday or Thursday for my Challenge at work. I guess I really have 2 weigh in days. My target says 2050 so I guess you could say that I'm ok there. My personal goal is 1500 or under, so I blew it there. Not too orried about it though. I'm going to hit my husband up for a walk tonight since I didn't get to do Zumba today. Our instructor was out sick. :( I'll be walking tomorrow if the weather holds out.
Ginny- It looks like we're at the same point in weight. How tall are you and what is your calorie limits for yourself?
Tabby -- glad to see you back. Hope you've had a chance to enjoy the nice weather. I'm hoping to be in Cincy this weekend if I have the money. I'm hoping to get to go see my Mom for a belated Mother's day and birthday.

Hello. I found this web site while searching how much calories that sugar has in it. I kept up with my calories today and it is hard to believe I had eaten so much. I think it is my food choices more than the food. I wish each of you luck and success. Have a great and healthy week.

HEHEHEHE Tonights practice was FANTASTIC! They all did so great...Didn't get to really work out with them and had no will power to go to the gym... Only at 1018 calories though.... Burning brain power with all this studying! WHEW! Anywho, Monday is going to be my first official weigh in with all of you, so hopefully I will weigh less... I have been eating ALOT of McD's Ice Cream cone... I guess they are better off than scooping my own! BLAH... No more this week... Wednesday and Friday are gym days.... Tummy was a bit upset from yesterday, my body isn't used to eating fattening foods anymore and it totally rejects them (if you know what I mean) anyway.... I too believe, ell, that this is going to be a great week for everyone!

hey ashley! I see you are right in elk grove. I live in midtown sac right now but grew up in the elk grove area. what high school did you go to? I graduated from sheldon in 03.
I really overdid it yesterday with about 12 oz of brisket my hubby cooked for 5 hours on the grill for mother's day. Then today I have eaten 2,904 calories. Damn Long John Silver's! However, I discovered I do not like it anymore and couldn't even finish my meal. So, while it sounded good, I have been living much better lately and I can tell by my tastebuds and stomach choices. I was supposed to work out with my friend today, but I didn't make it. To spite all of this, I still dropped 2 pounds since my last weigh in.
It is wierd. I am very disappointed today.

So, Blj...we are close to the same weight...I am 5' 10.5". I have kind of figured my maintenance level of calories is 2800. My goal to lose is anything less than 2000. I have been trying to stay between 1700 and 1800. Saturday and Sunday I didn't, 2687 and 2049. But yesterday, Monday was only 1749. I do not "workout" everyday but most days I am doing an hour or more of farm work, cleaning stalls, watering trees, etc. Posting your stats here can be very helpful...It made me feel weird to post those numbers for Saturday and Sunday...I knew Saturday I ate so much because of that blood test results...Sunday, we went to the circus and cookies, chocolate, and popcorn later I was over 1800 calories...Oh well, I did lose 1 lbs so it is not the end of the world. :-) How tall are you? What calories level are you at/goal to be at?
