Over 200 club!
HI! My name is Laura and i am 5-5 and 235 lbs as of today. I did weigh 240 almot 2 weeks ago. I am counting calories cuz I do not know what ele to do. When i gave birth, I only weighed 201 lbs! My son is 5(his bday is halloween). I cant believe i have put on so much lately. I have high blood pressure so I am on Diovan. I am also on protonix( for heartburn). I took myself off depo provera lat Sept and currently have the IUD, Mirena. Birth control was part of it but that is why I switched to IUD. I am taking it slow, and watching what I eat. I guess I am supposed to stay under 1700 calories and I walked 20 minutes today. I hate exercise now but I have to do it to lose weight the old fashioned Way!

Good morning everyone! I'm here...I was feeling so happy that I ate my way through the weekend. I did gain back a little bit of weight but, I'm still under 200. Only by a little....right now, I'm 199.8. I'm pretty sure that it's a lot of water weight gain. I can feel the puffiness in my fingers and toes.
Last night I checked in and read everyone's posts. Thank goodness! It re-focused me and today, I'm back to my oatmeal and yogurt. I plan on running some errands a little bit later today and that'll be good for an exercise.

Hi guys...another thread had this link on it...body fat percentage test...
I went to take it and I am 40.3% fat....It told me that I am 142.8 pounds of lean muscle, bones, and body water...and 96.2 pounds of fat. When you multiple 142.8 by 1.25 (I would then have a body fat % of 25 %) it tells me I should weigh 178.5 pounds...I am so excited...My goal had been 185 and two weeks ago I decided to make it 180....If I weigh 180, I will 26% fat, recommended is 22%. Yahoo. I can't wait...

well the sugar free has 15 calories per serving as oppsosed to 25 calories for the fat free, so i switched!!

mornin everybody! congrats to al the losers! i did the lil spike thingy today, but my trend is down, so i guess i'm doin ok. i've been exercising a lot more, and i've been told that can level out the loss for a bit, so i guess there's no need to get upset about it.

HI Everyone,
Well congrats to everyone that is exercising their butt off and losing. I never realized how hard this counting thing really is. The hardest thing for me is that when I am at work I stick to my snacks and small meals but when i get home i just cannot stop myself. My goal is to eat 1650 calories and I ranked in a whopping 2,068. Im not good at math but that is rather a huge deficit!!! anyways. My husband and I have been apartment hunting and that was my only real exercise yesterday... I just cannot seem to get motivated to work out. I have these great exercise videos " slim in 6" and when i first started the program... i ate relatively healthy and lost 12 lbs in two weeks but obviously the workout is hard and i just cannot bring myself to do it...AAarrgh! Guess that is my next goal. Workout today for at least 15 minutes... not including walking my dog...

Dream, I switched to the sugar free coffee mate too. I guess a lot of people in my area found out the same thing because they just can't seem to keep it in stock!!! The FF is always there though. I start searching to replenish my cupboard when I'm only halfway through my container. Lol

the scale has been messing w/ my head this week. sunday i weighed 218.2, monday 220.0, then today 215.8! so i have zero idea what i weigh right now lol. We'll see what number tomorrow is close to. I need to see my progress though and this is makign it difficult! I've been really stressed and kinda depressed this week adn I'm trying to shake it but it's not working too well. I'm gogin to teh gym tonight hopefully so that should help. I've been staying at about 1100 calories the past couple of days which is really weird. Some days I go over my 1300 calories by a few hundred and then some days I just don't feel like eating anymore! it's been pretty weird. I'm zigzagging adn I don't even know it!

That darn huge cookie I was smart enough to give away on mothers day made its way back to my house:} or at least one that looks like it anyway. I ate a huge piece of it yesterday and man oh man was it sweet. Ok focus .... I am back on track and got to class an hour and a half early so I walked the campus for an hour.
I use the fat free french vanilla from international coffes but that is only when I made the coffe too strong. I like my coffe black.

I ate only 781 cals- due to spending quite a bit of time running around in the car Getting in about 1 hour ago and forcing down dinner. did get some exercise in this morning so My calories out are 3019 am I looking on the right page for these that is on my account home page if I go to my activity log it says 1,171 which one do I go by? Yesterday was hard we had another giant cookie enter the house from nowhere Darn thing!! like you carol It jumped right into my mouth and mmmmmmmmm it was so good it would have been a shame to spit it out. any way there are no calories in cookies when they grow right? lol.
any way I am settleing the kids in and they get the cookie cause I know I am thinking about how good it will taste with some coffee.... No No NO cookie was bad girl yesterday No more cookie!!!

Mabear, you go by your total calories burned on the home page of your account. Just above that is your food log, but just a view of it. Is the 781 including the cookie?? If so, you definitely need more calories, but it sounds like you know that already.
Diz, I tried not to look but I couldn't help myself. :) It sounds like you did pretty good today. Good for you!

Okay, I'm here in Chicago today - I was lucky & had no delays in my flight, however my counterpart & my boss ended up being delayed (1hour for 1 and 4 hours for the other) because of the weather. VK - I've told them about the places you recommended and our goal is to hit the pizza place Thursday!
Okay, I'll admit it --- I've logged sex :) I saw it and it made me giggle so much that I decided to log it. Figured it was there and well I, uhm.... we... hhmm.... so sex is there as an activity :: Giggle :: so why not!!! :)
Carol - don't worry about the chips; it happens to us all... my guy LOVES to make cakes. He loves to eat them directly out of the oven w/out frosting...nice and warm. So he was VERY excited with me being gone for the week because that means he gets to make some cake! The only thing I told him was that if it wasn't gone by the time I got home Friday I was going to through out in the back for the racoons to eat in the middle of the night!
Diz - we are so close in height & weight... I'm and inch taller -- so hows the weather down there?! Hee Hee... sorry couldn't resist :)

I feel better today even though nothing has been resolved with my family. I've just stopped thinking about it as much and I think the beautiful day we're having has helped my mood. Thank you ginny and diztgs and everybody for letting me pout.

bqueene, McD's ice cream cones are at least sort of low cal aren't they? I haven't had one since I've started here but I love them too. Course I like mine dipped in chocolate! I'm in OR, used to live in the bay area.

ginny, I know you're right that they will figure out a way to make it work, I just tend to panic and start imagining horrible holidays and birthdays where no one can get along, but hopefully we can avoid that. Thanks for reminding me that it can be done!
dream, I just picked up some lite choc soy milk which has 120 cals for 1 cup so 1/4 cup would be 30 cals. I think I would like it with chocolate, but you could use the van kind, might be good.

dream, you know I've always wondered where they come up with the numbers for the cals burned during sex. I always thought they seemed kind of high. I like good sex but I doubt seriously I've ever acheived the kind of calorie burning that they say it does! Sure is one of the funnest forms of exercise, though!

Okay, so the pizza at Cici's Pizza buffet did me in for dinner today. I think the Long John Silver's poisoned me because I have done nothing but sleep and visit the latrine today. Even still, my calorie intake in 2,600 today. I can't believe I allowed myself to splurge again. I feel like I am on a downward slope and I need to figure out how to turn it around!
I am very listless and lethargic today and this evening though. I still feel a little nauseated though. Weigh in is the same today.
I am going out of town this weekend, camping. It will be good to get away from home. Then, I am going to spend 2 weeks with my grandparents to offer them a little hard labor.

i totally knwo how lots of you are feeling about eating foods we shouldn't! All I can say is to be better the next day and try to be stronger teh next time the situation comes around. it's hard but every time you pass it up it gets easier!
carol-- go buy ruffles light potato chips. much lower in cals and they taste just as good!
blue- the tailbone is still sore. Hasn't seemed to be much change the past week. I swam tonight and so it's extra sore but I have to do something! I just likey my vicodin :)
