Workoff those extra foods Challenge

work toward burning off that extra pumpkin pie, extra stuffing and extra mashed potatoes this week!  Lets focus on the next 3 weeks really hard!

Hi ashley...thanks fo much for doing this...I still owe you everything.  I didn't do too good with water yesterday...36 ounces (I drank all kinds of other stuff)

and I weighed 230

I still owe you measurements.

82.5 oz of Water for me on Sat Sept 1st.  This was great I did choose to drink water rather than other drinks cause I was thinking about the challenge.
I will have to say only 30 ounces of water for me on September 1...I will definitely get to doing better, but right now I am nursing a very serious toothache and I can't drink or eat much of anything without pain.  Anything cold bothers me so badly that I would much rather have nothing

I did make a trip to the ER, though, and got some antibiotics, some Vicodin, and a long-acting pain blocker in my gum to help with the pain for a few hours...

These are terrific goals ya'll!  I see a lot of 20 pound losses over the next 4 months which is very attainable if you have the right mindset.  Do not let excuses, setbacks, bumps or anything stand in the way of achieving the goals you set out for yourself!  I had a great couple of days camping in the Sierra's and now I am back!  I am sooooooo exhausted, so I will be posting my stats in the morning.... I am creating spreadsheets for all of the information you are providing as well as contacting teammates that have not checked into the board yet.

Please remember to try to check in at least once per day... It really helps with the motivation!  :-)  Great job for thinking about the challenge when making drink choices, that is what this is DESIGNED to do!!! You are awesome!  Keep it up everyone and post your water stats daily... It is much easier for me to keep track of on a daily basis!

Oh and By the way... Yesterday I had a lousy 40 oz of water but today I drank 92 oz of SMART water, which has electrolytes :-).... YAY!

Saturday 9/1:  40 oz

Hey y'all...it is Monday!!!

Sunday(9/2), I had 64 ounces of water...

The tooth is feeling okay...the Vicodin helps...:)  The pain blocker held for several hours along with the Vicodin and I actually ate something and got to sleep all night...:)

I think this is going to be a great challenge...lots of personal growth as well as getting the motivation from everyone else!

9/2 - 180 ounces.  I have an infection in my gums (Tami, I can somewhat relate) so I wasn't able to drink any alcohol yesterday.  Instead I had lots of ice water w/lime.  It's a mind thing I do to replace drinking when w/friends.

Tami, I can't do vicodin, instead I get prescribed Tylenol with codeine.

Good Morning over 200 Family!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful labor day.  I remember a time when my brother was just about ready to be born (his birthday is 9/15) and my mom was actually saying It would be really funny if your brother was born on labor day.... Anyway.... when I was a child I thought that is what this was about, to recognize the mothers who went through labor! :-)  HEHEHEHE Here are my stats I was supposed to report on Saturday but was out of town.  I got struck by TOM early so... they may change a little next week....

Drinking water has never been a problem for me -- I love it!  Now  just have to get through the BBQ at the in-laws today.  Taking over veggies and berries (not together), to help me stay on the straight and narrow (and a whole week before the next weigh-in :-}

I have no idea how much water I'm drinking because its just tap water but I drank 4 glasses yesterday Sept. 2, and 2 glasses of tea...so I dunno the oz.s
9-1 was 56 oz

9-2  42 oz

sorry tabby about the tooth, hope you can get it fixed soon? They can be so incredibly painful. Remember that vicodin has a tendency to kind of dry you up (thus the constipation) so make sure to drink even more to counter that.

I have been trying to leave the diet sodas alone but man that is so much harder than I thought it would be! Water is so boring!

nikiddy:  Are they tall glasses or smaller glasses.  Something to keep in mind, the smaller equal about 8 oz and the taller glasses equal about 12 oz.  Let me know what size and I can input your water!

Blue:  Water is boring, but ESSENTIAL!  For me, Diet Pepsi is a "life source" too!  but to break your habit, drink 1 per day for a week, then go to 1 every 2 days, then stop buying the large packs and buy the 8 oz small cans they now sale.  and continue weening yourself off... If you stop cold turkey, you may revert and drink 10 in one day! AGH!  Remember, dont deprive of the things you like, but moderate them :-)

Im still working on my water for the day, it is only 5:30 and I am at 80oz!  Boy is it good to be home :-)
