Sept. 3rd: 116 oz. Innocent   Doing good so far!!

bqueenme: tall glasses ..I call then tea glasses   ?does tea count?

and eww I don't like sodas so no problem with that there. Just tea, juice, and water.

I love water! but I guess it also depends on where you live (tap water wise) Florida water is nasty. In Dinsmore Fla where my other grandparents live their water it yellowish and smells like rotten eggs *gag* it's all the sulfur down there. I always bring bottled water when I go visit. Here in the mountains the water tastes so much better even the city water is good.

sept 1: 3 glasses water 2 of tea

sept 2: 4 glasses water and 2 tea

sept 3: 4 glasses water 1 big glass of tea(my grandmas cups are huge they fit like    1 1/2 coke cans with ice- for grandpa lol he's a pepsiholic) And you MUST have tea when visiting grandma..tea and pie. lol

Okay:

CW: 198.4

GW by January 2008: 175 lbs

Will get measurements by you tomorrow!

kthompson:  Did you report your water stats for 9/2?  If you did, I didn't catch them, can you let me know again??? SO Sorry Surprised

nikiddy:  I counted 16 oz per glass since you said 1.5 cokes could fit in it... I hope that will work.  Unfortunately, for this challenge only water will be counted, even though Tea is MOSTLY water, it still contains caffeine.  I think that your decision is good though... Tea is better for you than sodas!

Nycolea:  Good to see you found the board!  Smile  Great goal by the way, almost the same as me!

9/3 - 150 oz

yep -- all that water just to keep me away from the chips/dip and extra BBQ ...

80 oz. of water...I use a Britta pitcher for my water and it is great...obviously 72 oz.

If I switch to decaf tea will it count?

If I switch I'll have to hide the box, my bf swears he can tell the difference but I think its just because he sees the box. lol

9/2 was 88 oz.  I did  post it but no big deal if you missed it.  Thanks for double checking!

Coach K:  WHEW!  You are drinking water machine... I think you are currently leading, but VK is right behind you... You two will be neck to neck once she posts her stats for today.

Nikiddy:  Okay... I will give in, Decaf tea will count... BUT ONLY TEA!  Nothing else... It is a water challenge because I want everyone to realize that water is probably one of the most important things for our bodies and aides in weight loss because it curbs cravings!

Kthom:  Sooooo sorry if I did... I go through about 2-3 pages every day to check!

Karo:  Can you remember Saturday and Sunday's Water stats too?  If not it isn't a big deal but just thought I would see since you joined us only yesterday.  Want to keep it fair to you!  Are you logging 80 oz or 72 oz water?  Im a little confused with both numbers... so far I logged the higher at 80 oz for you for yesterday.

Well I seemed to manage 80 oz of water yesterday! YAY... today should be more as I am going to be very active.  Anyway, good luck today and keep up the positive and uplifting energy everyone!  You are doing great and with these stats i expect to see some weight differentials this coming Monday!

for me, 9/3 - 142.2 oz.

9/1 = 169.1oz.

9/2 = 304.4

9/3 = 236.7

I am totally loving this challenge!  I am a fiend for water!!!  And everyone seems to be doing so well!  YEA LOSERS!!!!!Laughing

Man oh man Mermaid...do ya ever leave the bathroom?  lol

9/1 96 oz

9/2 100 oz

9/3 96 oz

Feeling good too ;)

Hurray for us!  We're doing it!!!!  WooHoo!!!!!!
good idea bqueen about the diet sodas. I wish I could keep the soda out of the house altogether but hubby insists on drinking it. Just another self discipline thing I guess. I'll work at just one a day, that should be doable.

9-3  72 oz

wow mermaid, I would never leave the bathroom, lol! As it is I often can't make it through a movie without having to visit the ladies room.

Ok mark me down for 64 oz on 9-3.  I think this is a great challenge.  I am looking forward to the next weeks too.

Laughing  Actually, I don't go to the bathroom very often...well not any more often than those around me.  I do however drink tons of water...as is obvious because of my previous post.  I have always been like that.  No matter how much I drink, I am always thirsty...and nothing quenches the thirst, and I always want water.  If I don't drink enough, I get light headed and dizzy...and then I will get a beginning of a migrain and nausea...and just all out sick.  As a result of all the water I have drank, for my whole life (which averages 9L - give or take 2 on an average day) my legs have edema, and they have for the past year.  The nephrologist told me to stop drinking so much because I have over worked my kidneys my entire life, and water pills will only make my kidneys lazy?  My family dr. agreed.  Although I was not happy with the resolution as it makes me physically ill, I did as directed and got down to 4-5L a day...and I also got my first kidney stone!Surprised  After the pain of the kidney stone, I think I would rather have legs like playdough, even though I am only 26.  I'm supposed to wear compresion stockings or support hoes and havent bought any yet.

A friend of mine came across something called Diabetes Insipidus.  It has NOTHING to do with sugar.  It is caused my head trauma (I cracked my head open on a rocking chair when I was 2yrs - running around with my bad self) and those who have it have the same symptoms as me.  Upon mentioning it to my Dr., I didn't really get anywhere because of my other "Unique, Fun, and Interesting" Health issues.  I went to a different dr, and he told me to basically deal with it and buy some hoes.  SO...I am in search of a new Dr.

But I digress...

Thanks for you all taking notice!Laughing  This is one challenege that I will have no problem with...I'm LOVING IT!  Happy Losing my Friends!Wink

Mermaid:  Here is some insider information on MANY Doctors... When they do not know the answer and do not want to be known as a fool... they simply avoid the subject.  Often times you can notice this when Doctor's deal with the elderly, mentally ill or those who have numerous health related problems.  Often times, it is the doctor's decisions that can lead to death of patients but it usually goes unnoticed simply because the person is too ill.  FYI:  I am going to be a doctor/surgeon.  I do find it interesting that your bodies thirst level is so high.  I am sure you have "trained" your body to drink that large amount of water, so it will take "retraining" to require less.  Edema is a difficult disease and is basically water retention that just doesn't go away.  Here is an example of your reliance on water, in relation to addiction (which by the way it seems you are addicted to water, quite a unique addiction to have)Wink  How does ones body react when their is a cessation of alcohol, nicotine, narcotics or any other type of drug?  The body craves more, wants more and the mind tricks the body into thinking it cannot exist without the amount you have given it.  The kidney stone you received was your bodies response to the lack of water it was used to just like a person's hallucinations during rehab when they do not have drugs.  I would suggest looking into getting a resident doctor (one who is fairly new into being a doctor) they typically have fresh education and are willing to find out what is wrong because they have a lot to prove.  Older physicians typically don't have anything to prove and shuffle patients through just to get through the day.  Let me know if you have questions as I am usually really good at advice (at least i hope so). Smile
I'm really glad that you're encouraging us to post daily.  I've never done any challenges here, and wasn't sure if daily posting was frowned on or not.  So...  my first few days have been much worse than I'd expected.  (granted, I drink lots more water at work than at home, so today's total should be more like I was expecting!)

9/1 - 32 oz

9/2 - 10 oz (yikes!)

9/3 - 20 oz

I'll post today's total later or tomorrow.
9/4: 126 oz.  Laughing

Hey guys!  Put me down for 96 ounces for (9/3) yesterday.  Mermaid has me sunk with this challenge I think.  WinkLol

Monday 9/3 = 36 ounces water

Tuesday 9/4 = 100 ounces water

I have gone back to WW ladies...starting today!  I did not rejoin the meetings, but I am counting points and making myself accountable.  It is the only plan that has ever really worked for me, so I am trying again.  Hopefully, mom won't be on my back so much since she is not paying for anything this time.

Today was Day 1 and it was successful...good food...stayed within my points...no soda...100 ounces water...woohoo!!  Tomorrow is Day 2...wish me luck!!

I plan to start walking once it cools down here again...I walked 3.2 miles last week and hurt my ankles...could hardly walk without pain for days...so I am going to start slow...30 minutes a day...around the block...and add a little every few days or once a week...too much too soon hurts me every time...but no walking at all when it is 98 degrees outside...lol

Sounds like everyone is having a good week...and always remember, there can be success without being food or water or exercise related...a good day at work...a hug from your kids...a smile and pat on the behind from your hubby...don't forget the small everyday things that make you feel good!!
