Food is not as important to him as it has always been to me. Although if I don't have his dinner ready for him it suddenly becomes very important, oh boy! I introduced him to the wonderful world of sweets for the most part. He learned to like all the crazy ice cream flavors that he once shunned in favor of chocolate chip or vanilla.
So I know how to fatten them up but not how to slim them down!
I almost always eat something different for dinner than what I fix for him because he wants a heavy meal at night. The man can sit and eat at one meal : two large steaks, two potatoes, 3 ears of corn and half of a watermelon, not kidding. That's not everyday though. He is 5' 8" and weighs 235 lbs and has a ton of muscles. He's an interesting guy.
Sorry for babbling, I got to go fix the guy his Monday night meal of 2 big hamburger patties and big pile of ww noodles (he is into being healthy-those were his idea) with alfredo sauce (from a jar of course). I guess the alfredo sauce cancels out the healthiness of the noodles?
You are too funny Blue! I know I have to wait for my hubby to be ready. I think he will be soon. He can drop pretty fast when he puts his mind to it but right now I think his mind is more on rebelling than anything else. I don't think he's as much aware of it as I am though....the rebelling.
Ok, so I think I may have caved with all these sweets here at work. I grabbed a pecan cluster and took a tiny itty bitty bite of it and then I wrapped the rest in a tissue and grabbed an orange. The rest of the cluster is sitting next to me and the orange is all gone. I looked it up, this one little piece is 80 calories. I can afford it if I really want it. I'll take it home and decide later. LOL!!! I'm so conflicted. LOL
Well ladies, I put in 70 woppin minutes on my treadmill last night. Hey hey hey!
I was even able to get in 2-10 minute spurts in there at 3.5mph. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I think breaking it up the way I did helped though.
How are you all doing ladies?
I've been getting tempted plenty at my work too. The parents of some of my preschoolers, bless their hearts, have been giving me gifts of chocolate. Yesterday was tough. I did have a few pieces but I gave most of it away. I had to drive 30 mins. with a big hershey bar next to me and I was hungry. I waited till I got back and had a small piece and left the rest for everyone else. It was really sweet of the parents and it always makes me feel good to have them give me gifts, but I tell you, giving away that dove candy was sure hard!
Guess I did okay yesterday cuz I lost a couple pounds, finally! We had our breakfast at work today and I tried to go easy. Sure hope it doesn't set me back!
Hope everyone is doing well.
I haven't but it is still wrapped in that tissue in my lunchbag. Heehee, I guess I'm just torturing myself. D'oh! Now there are chocolate covered pretzels in the lunchroom. I love the sweet/saltiness of those. Hum, which one will trump the other, the cluster or the pretzels? Lol I keep thinking to myself, which treat is the most worth it?
That is very sweet of the parents. Great job with giving most of it away. It probably makes you feel good to be able to share it too.
I was going to buy my daughter's teacher sweets but then I thought about all of us being tortured and this poor lady probably will get a ton from the other parents so I opted for a ferris wheel frame. It turns and can fit 10 pictures in it. Much easier on the scale that way.
That breakfast kept me full until 4 o'clock this afternoon. I had some of my homemade pizza for dinner tonight. Whole wheat crust with lowfat mozzorella and veggies.
If it was me, I'd go for the pecan cluster!
Val, Blueotter -- great that you are doing so well at avoiding temptation.... I think I found my major weakness -- cookies and PMS... I seem to be failing right now. I have gotten rid of the cookies and just have to get through tomorrow (until Christmas) -- Lord help me please.... PMS does not usually make me ravenous nor craving things like Whoppers (thank God, I resisted that!).
I stopped taking food to teachers and the like -- went with gift cards instead. Figured $10+ at Staples was more use than yet another mini loaf of banana bread..... I'm sure the mini photo frames will be much appreciated.
Stay strong ladies!
Yay!! Coach has emerged from the dangerous land of cookies with pms a stewing. It really is hard right now to resist.
I caved and had 2 white chocolate covered pretzels. I looked them up and it only put me back 140...if 2 is considered an ounce. Boy o boy, I ate them very slowly, small bite by small bite. I figured if I'm going to eat 'em I might as well enjoy it as long as possible.

I'm here, I'm here!
I have been so busy doing holiday errands and working out this week that I haven't even stopped by the forums! I hope all of you are doing well and not stressing to the max. In the past two days I worked out for 245 minutes.. yeah, I'm crazy. I went to the gym on wed afternoon, aquafit bootcamp that night, DDR this morning and put some time in at the gym until now! Fewf.
Anyway, I don't have much to report, see all of you at the weigh in tomorrow! :)

Hey, at least I'm still down!!! I got on the scale several times this morning and it went from 197 to 199, but the first weight that popped up was 198.8. I'll stick with that. I don't know why I step off and on repeatedly...I'm such a dork. ![]()
Wow Jenn!!! I am totally jealous of your 245 minutes. It's a good jealous. I![]()
I gave myself 240 minutes to do as my personal goal this week and as of this morning I am up to 220. Yeah for us kicking butt....our own butt!!!
Coach, Blue, let's get an update from you two on how you're doing at this very hard time of the year.
Bqueen....I MISS YOU!!!! I hope all is alright little lady. {{hugs}}

Well -- if I make it through the next week and a half -- it will only be due to the exercise, lord knows I've been eating like it was my last meal. I even (*gasp*) had one of my old standbys -- two McD cheeseburgers w/fries. I couldn't help it, I had been craving for days and knew that I was only a short way away from a BK double whopper .... That, on top of birthday (his), anniversary (ours), three Christmas parties, and a cookie exchange -- means that any loss was a good loss...
Val -- congrats on the loss! I try not to do multiple step ups on the scale, unless it's so low that I can't believe it...
Jenn -- I don't think I could do 245 mins in two days -- I am wiped by my piddly 70 mins every other day (well, almost)
Come on Blue -- check in time.....

Hey Coach, Jenn, and Blue...and anyone else if you're out there....it looks like Undertherainbow has started up a challenge called the Valentine's day challenge. I've "heard" around the forums that her challenges are pretty darn good. I just signed myself up for it. It starts next week Thursday. I hope you guys check it out because technically next week is our last week with this challenge.
On a side note...
All caps coming....
I FIT INTO A SIZE 16 PANTS NO PROBLEM!!! I ALSO FIT INTO A 14/16 BLOUSE!!!!!!!!!!! I can get on and zip up a 14 pants but it is a tiny bit tight. BUT I CAN ZIP IT UP!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
last week weight: 244.5
CW: 241
lost: 3.5
Hope it sticks after today, yikes! I had Ruby Tuesday for lunch and while I cut it in half when it came and stuck it in a to go box, I had some of my sisters birthday ice cream. And two pieces of a absolutely yummy dessert that I'm not even going to describe. It was obscenely good and just reading about it would make you all gain 5 lbs! And pizza for dinner, although that was only about 400 cals by my best guess.
jenn, I can't even wrap my brain around that much exercise, good lord girl, you go!
coach, you did really great this week, especially with all those temptations, wow!
CONGRATS VK!!!!! Wow, I can't wait to get there too. You are doing so great! So what size did you start at?
I tried on a top from the misses sizes the other day and was pretty excited that I could wear the size xl. It didn't fit great but it was still pretty cool.
I'll have to check out that challenge too. It would be pretty cool if we all joined so we can stay together.
Thanks ladies. I'm still in awe I think. I started in a size 26 bottoms and size 30 blouses. If I had to guess, I'd say I was about this size when I was a teen.
Blue, Congrats on your 3.5 down! Maybe it'll waver for a day or two and stay good and it'll stick.
Jenn, good luck on your new goal, you can do it chickadee!!!
Coach...a loss is a loss and we got ourselves a loss. You survived the cookies too!! ![]()
I have been baking ALL day today. Sugar cookies, oatmeal cookies, cake and apple pie... fewf! I'm extremely sore from running around, rolling, mixing, icing, gah! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
<3 Jenn
Ladies --
It's Christmas Eve and I hope you are all spending this time with those that you love. Take some time off from calorie counting and have a great day tomorrow (I am planning on eating BACON) -- and NO counting for the entire day. I worked out 6 of the past 7 days -- the body will just have suck up the extra fat and salt (and chocolate). It's one, maybe two days -- we'll all survive.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
We do most of our festivities on Christmas eve so today is somewhat anticlimactic. Hubby is installing the under the cabinet TV/radio/DVD player that he bought me for the kitchen, yay!
I ate a LOT of sugar yesterday and put on what looks like 3 pounds but it is okay. I need to get back on track though for sure. We are having my sister over for a prime rib dinner today, but after that I can get back to normal.
I don't want to know how many sugar cookies I ate yesterday. Too many. yikes. Just one day though.
My daughter is home from college and she is all excited because it just started snowing! Not very normal for here so it's pretty neat.
One of my bus kid's parent who doesn't speak English wished me ,"Happy Merry Christmas". I like that. Kind of a double whammy!
So, HAPPY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
