This heart healthy oatmeal cooks over night in the slow cooker.
| 1 | cup steel cut oats |
| 4 | cups water |
| 1 | cup 2% milk |
| 1/2 | cup Raisins |
| 1/4 | cup raw almonds |
| 3 | tsp brown sugar |
| 1 | tbsp Butter |
| 4 | tsp cinnamon |
| 2 | oz soy protein |
| 1/3 | cup ground flax seed |
- Combine all ingredients except for almonds and raisins in the slow cooker
- Set slow cooker to cook on low for 8 hours
- Add Raisins and Almonds and stir until well mixed
- Divide up into servings, can be saved and reheated for a weeks worth of breakfast.
