i am overwhelmed

Quote  |  Reply

i am overwhelmed with eating.

i'm on this candida (self-imposed) diet.

i really  had ben consuming too many sugar and carbs.

i feel better (even after, only, my first day).

but, it's an overwhelming experience.

i think the first two weeks are the hardest.

i'm on the second day.

again, i am overwhelmed.

but, physically i feel better without so much sugar and carbs weighing me down.

i woke up this morning with an incredible feeling like, "wow, i really slept well last night".

i'm proud that i am being creative with my food. i ground up a 1/4 cup of almond and made almond flour.....things like that.

on this candida diet i am cutting back on flour, vinegar, gluten, &  my fruits, honeys, sugars, condiments, etc.

It is interesting to see what happens when you pare down your diet to something a lot simpler and a lot healthier.   Once your symptoms have died back, however, it's important to reintroduce certain foods and judge the reaction.   Some of those things you list you'll be able to tolerate in the future, but maybe in smaller quantities than in the past.   Others you may be able to replace with other foods.   Few people need sugar, for example, but you wouldn't want to exclude fruit from your diet for ever.

Good luck

I am sure you have seen http://www.thecandidadiet.com/foodstoeat.htm before... but it has a few recipes you might want to try along with eat and don't eat lists... could be helpful if you've never seen it!
