There are a number of Christian chats out there but I can't find any of my sisters and brothers in faith! I would love to hear how all you heathens out there perhaps integrate your faith with your healthy lifestyle.
I'm a follower of the older Celtic faiths. I really like how this faith deals with the balance in all aspects of life eg; human and nature, body and soul, man and woman, God and Goddess. Looking at life this way really helps me deal with the day to day when I realize that even if I have a really bad day I will eventually have a great day to make up for it. Just my thoughts:)
I would love to here your take on life and all its Mysteries.

Oh, and I don't own any lammas. I think they smell funny, don't they? We get to pet them at the Ren Fest every summer though.
:)
:)
v8 i totally agree with you!! i mean, sometimes i look at my mom and think, geez, wouldn't it be so nice and easy if i could just blindly accept and believe it all with conviction. but i just DON'T.
Well it seems that every one is enjoying themselves here on this thread. Let's try to keep it going this time. Maybe we can all just try to check in whenever we can. I have so much more success at something difficult (weight loss for me) when I have support from people that I can relate to and have fun with. I've had such a great time chatting that I didn't even think about hitting the unhealthy snacks. Thank you! Now I can eat dinner without feeling Catholic...... oops! I mean guilty! lol!!!
Oh Man I wish I could change my user name! Everytime someone talks to me I feel like a Bloody Mary!! That would be OK but I ran out of Vodka!!
i'll start calling ya red raven if you prefer! i agree, let's keep this alive! i am so excited it's the weekend, and tomorrow i'll be communing closely with my god/goddess IE: lying on the beach
Red Raven is perfect! Well Duh Red! It is my name:S. I hope you have a great time at the beach. Don't forget to thank Momma!

Very funny... llamas = Lammas.
I got a feeling in "Mabons" that Robyn's pulling my leg!

i like llamas! (trying to keep this thing going folks :) )
The one-l lama, He's a priest. The two-l llama, He's a beast. And I will bet A silk pajama There isn't any Three-l lllama.* -- Ogden Nash
But everyone knows that Lembas is something that Tolkein made up, and it's vaugely like pop-tarts. Read the description. :p
I'm a solitary Pagan, and I don't follow any particular 'one' path, though I'm familiar with a whole slew of pantheons. In general I'm a spiritualist, and my beliefs are influenced by my experiences, so I probably wouldn't fit well into a traditional coven. I disagree with some aspects of Wicca, mostly because I'm also a student of history and some of the 'claims' that are made are historically inaccurate. But it makes a good story. Also, I'm less of a 'show' sort of person - which is one of the reasons that Christianity never captured my attention. I don't need big invocations and calling upon deities to make my life feel spiritual.
On the other-hand, I've never felt as much power and energy generated as in a circle of poeple just chanting 'om.'
I might also be weird in noting that I'm not sure that my spiritual beliefs have all that much help/hindrance in losing weight. I mean, they were my beliefs when I gained all this weight! :)

Will check back in with you all later . also v8 - red raven works good. I had a cat named V8 cause he was in my car engine. They have Llamas at my favorite hotel.
Hi
I am glad that someone started this thread. I am on the edge of a decision myself. I was brough up Cathloic, my Mom was very religious (rest her soul). And I am guessing it was around the time a Nun at my Moms wake explained to me that is was all part of "his" plan, I relized I didn't relate with my faith. I wasn't mad, just didn't feel I belived in that. I was 11, I'm now 27 and am trying to find my path. My husband feels basicall the same as me so no issue there. But we have relatives on both sides that would loose it if I classified my self as Pagan or Wicca. Real Bilble thumpers. And even though thats hard for me one of my big issues is I am not sure which I really relate to Pagan, Wicca, Celtic, or anything else. Maybe some one here can help with a guiding hand. I basically belive in everything is connected and that nature and cosmic energies are part of everything. but I don't know where to go from there.
Sorry for the long post.
and thanks for any help, or comments.
Thanks,
Astaria

I don?t believe in Gods or Goddesses as deities. I do believe that we are all intertwined and all connected to the universe.
The words of Bill Hicks best describe my beliefs
??all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.?
That makes me a Neo-Pagan.

I'm just a thingymabobber, or a whosiswhatziz. At least, that's what the Pagans say. :-)
People we are dying here, you need to post to keep this one going. I bought a beautiful Moon Goddess necklace online. I also got one that is a cresent moon. I love moons. I think it's beautiful. I like to sit and look at it, I think it's peaceful and relaxing. I also like to take pictures of the moon. Anyone else like the moon. There is a place near corbin ky. at state park that has Moonbows at the waterfalls, when there's a full moon. I'm hoping to go soon. Just go to Cumberland Falls, ky and than look for the park in ky. Where is everyone on this Sunday night???? Are ye all out dancing in the moon light (which is one of my favorite, favorite. songs. another is Fly me to the Moon. edit to add to
I everyone. I am a pagan in San Antonio, Tx and have been blessed with being able to be "out" to my family, friends and was open at work before I had to leave due to medical problems. I have found it easy to be out, not many have tried to "save" me or told me I was evil. Most are open to asking questions and listening to replies in a calm manner. It might help that I am a calm person with a smile on my face.
As far as path I am (go figure) norse and have the gift of being (wait for it, wait for it) an oracle. I do believe that there is no one way and that anyone who truely believe with a faith that they own is right. Those who just follow others words and do not make faith a personal concern are lost. Looking forward to getting to know those here and help each other on our paths which include honoring ourselfs with a healthy body.
