Any Pagans out there?

Quote  |  Reply
There are a number of Christian chats out there but I can't find any of my sisters and brothers in faith! I would love to hear how all you heathens out there perhaps integrate your faith with your healthy lifestyle.

I'm a follower of the older Celtic faiths. I really like how this faith deals with the balance in all aspects of life eg; human and nature, body and soul, man and woman, God and Goddess. Looking at life this way really helps me deal with the day to day when I realize that even if I have a really bad day I will eventually have a great day to make up for it. Just my thoughts:)

I would love to here your take on life and all its Mysteries.

Sounds like fun, but the broken leg won't let me. I live in TN. We're a quite bunch huh?

Hello,

I am glad I found this thread this morning.  I am trying to get through back pain and hoping to be able to enjoy our vacation in Canada- have to be ready for Halloween- it's a biggie in the year- and we always walk and walk when we go. Of course we will get in on a ghost walk and spend All Hallows Eve in a haunted hotel.  I need something to look forward to.  Folks would literally throw rocks at me if they knew that I wear an ankh and not a symbol of torture.  This backwards town does not recycle but they do ask strangers if they have been saved.  I probably have Druid blood in me from my Irish ancestors- I miss living among the trees like others miss family members.  Thank you for being around.  I don't feel so alone.  Of course I am never truly alone- my Siamese pesters me far too much for me to feel totally isolated. Goddess bless.

Even though it's a touch late: Happy Equinox all!
hey we cant let this thread die out so unceremoniuosly as that!  Hows everyone feeling? Im totally looking forward to samhain this year. If I can make it to the Ocala festival I'll be a fire dancing fool  (and not get winded or look gross in the process ;) anyone have any good ideas on getting the little ones more involved in the celebrations besides just trick or treating? my 8 yr old gets bored quickly with all things quiet and reverent.

At 8, I'm sure the little one can help carving pumpkins or painting them or making seasonal treats.  I don't know what you do in your celebrations, but combining rituals with the general fun of Samhain and Halloween.  An 8 year old is definately old enough to be included in traditions.

I'm very much looking forward to Samhain this year.  A friend of mine is organizing his UU church's Samhain/Halloween celebration with "come as you were" (honoring past lives/ancestry) and "you are what you eat" as a theme.

Hi all, I'm still here just not feeling really great. I'm into week 5 of the 12 weeks with the broken leg so I won't be dancing around anything. Ruined my whole fall season. 7 weeks to go. Have a great celebration,

Hi everyone - hope this thread isn't dead entirely =)  I am also a solitary pagan and I think it's great to see so many of like mind here!

Gypsierose: You wouldn't happen to be from NW Ohio, would you?  I once knew a Gypsierose in an online group; what a small world if it were you!

yogakat, never been to Ohio. Live in Tn.  Maybe our thread is so slow is because we are all solitary creatures. Sometimes I hate it but being in our little Bible belt community I have too. A friend of my hubby's was here the other day he was going on about how one of he other fire fighters is a witch. My hubs friend is a minister and he said of course I ask him questions . I don't really like the answers this guy gave him. The guy told him he became a witch because he doesn't believe in God because we would all be decendents of Adam and Eve and be related. I thought geezeee opportunity blown.  I did add some info to it  but not enough that Rob picked up that hummm ? why does she know this? They all still believe here that all the Goth kids are witches , but the kids are just going through a phase. When he left I said to my hub , wonder what Rob would think if he knew what a little white witch I am.  I'm 7 weeks into this broken leg healing . I can't hardly stand it. I have 5-6 weeks to go.   It' going to be 90 today , not really fall weather but going to drop to 70's by Wed. Have a great day all. Football game starts at noon!
