I am a mom and I would run cold water over it then call your dr. **I'm no dr or nurse but that's what I would do** Hope you feel better soon. Shanna
Always keep a good grade pure lavender oil in your kitchen.  Whenever you burn yourself immediately run some lavender oil on it.  It immediately takes the burn out and starts to heal.  With a serious burn like one you describe call the doctor immediately.  If it is just a stove burn that hurts but doesn't blister and not as serious the lavender oil should do the trick.
I had a 2nd degree ALL over my back, chest, stomach, legs...about everywhere this summer!

I had to use aloe vera gel and take cool baths.  I'm sorry but that would be a nightmare during winter when it's already cold!!  Other than that just DON'T pop any blisters, and don't pick at it.  It will heal but it will definitely take time.

Drink LOTS of water too to keep hydrated!
Another thing,  to have in every kitchen.  An aloe vera plant.  Days later, after a burn, you can break off a piece of the leaf and by rubbing the gooey pulp of the leaf on your arm it will help your skin regenerate and heal quicker.
Can't copy the link for some reason, but mayo site has first aid info about burns. It says if the burn is blistering and on the hands, you should seek medical attention immediately.

I wouldn't mess around with this on your own, since it's your palm. Can you call your doctor's office? They will probably have someone on call, if you can't reach your doctor then just go to the ER.

Also it says do not use ice. Cool water okay, but not ice.
my baby son did this to a BBQ pan the other day, he has 2 big blisters on each palm and one on each finger tip. save yourself the money of a doctor and do what the doc told me to do: apply an antiseptic ointment, some guaze (you can get gauze with paraffin wax on from your drug store, it wont stick to the blister) and wrap with a  non-sticky bandage. also from a drug store, its pretty cheap. dont pop the blister, and keep it covered for as long as possible. if the blister pops (my son popped his) just make sure you keep it clean, dry, and use the antiseptic cream 3-4 times a day! good luck
I am the mom of 5 children, a former professional baker and my oldest son worked for a time in a donut shop (thnk very large vat of hot grease). I have treated many large burns and all have healed successfully with out infection. Please, what ever you do try not to pop the blister. It will probably pop on its own and when it does have a good antibacterial soap like dial on hand. Was the ooze and dead skin away. dry around the wound then apply a thick coat of zinc oxide cream. This is sold as diaper rash cream like desatin but store brands sometimes have a higher zinc content get the highest you can find. Take gauze squares that have been covered with Bag Balm, Utter Butter or other antibacterial cream preferably containing lanolin unless you are allergic to it. Place the gauze squares carefully covering the zinc covered wound then use a small elastic bandage to hold it in place. If you use sticky tape to hold the dressing in place you will have to tug to remove it (OUCH!) Change the dressing at least 2 to 3 times a day washing away as much old zinc cream as you can without scrubbing. (It won't all come off and that's OK) If you don't let the burn dry out there will be a minimum or scaring. At any time the area around the wound swells or gets red and warm, there is a foul smelling odor, or you run a fever go directly to the emergency room... Do not wait.  I hope everything goes well.

If the pain is to much for you to handle make an appointment and go to the doctor.  If you don't want to go to the doctor yet, just wash with plain soap and water, don't pop blisters, and cover with a bandage.  If the blisters pop and they have a foul smell go to the doctor they could be infected.  I am going to school to become and Medical Assistant, and we covered this not to long ago.  But I would go to the doctor. :) Hope you feel better!!
