resigning as Gov.  Linky

She better not run in 2012.  I can't handle that again.

You're allowed to hate her.  You're allowed to think she's a redneck religious zealot.  But Joe Biden is a grade A moron and Obama was a very smart guy who had very little experience in politics and ya'll had no problem voting for them.

We're "allowed" to ?   Really?  We're not going to get threatened with legal action by her lawyer - or is that only if we post it in a blog?

Yes, she comes off as flaky, and I think her level of "executive experience" is overstated, but those aren't the reasons for my basic opinion of her.  I have no interest in her religious beliefs outside of the potential for some late night comedy fodder.  She's an attention seeker, and she doesn't appear to have any coherent strategy as to what she needs to do to get it, in addition to having no realization of the amount of cognitive dissonance in what she says.

And until Biden has entire books detailing his gaffes, flails around like a landed fish when trying to define a basic political term, and tries to give a foreign head of state a massage, the "grade A moron" title belongs to someone else.

I am confident that there must be some scandal or cover-up of wrong doing.

Nothing but net, madamq.

Honestly, true or not, it wouldn't surprise me if she was involved in something like that. Most politicians dip their hands into a cookie jar SOMEWHERE along the line... a lot of them are just more discreet and/or smart about it than Carbou Barbie over there.

Hey, now. Lets be fair to Caribou Barbie she's a children's doll. j/k :) "Caribou Barbie" is funny and, by the way, marketable! I loved the whole "Caribou Barbie" thing. It's a pretty kewl nickname for Sarah Palin, imo.

I always liked Barbie too though.

I'd imagine the Palin we'd see campaign for 2012 would be a much more polished yet programmed Palin than the one from 2008.

I read a very astute observation somewhere that it's interesting she's chosen to back away from that "executive experience" arena to "effect positive change outside the government", and, essentially, become some kind of.....(wait for it)......

community organizer.

It was Palin's comment ""I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer — except that you have actual responsibilities," that I found most offensive. How she can compare being a mayor of a town of 9000 people, who are demographically pretty homogenous, to the real and hard work of fighting for social justice, political accountability, and human rights is unbelievable. It shows just how out of touch she is with the struggles of many Americans. Her ignorance is dangerous.

... and she can get things done....

Her statement on why she's resigning would suggest otherwise.

The negative media attention isn't going to stop just because she'll be out of the governor's office.

Give Joe Biden the same press and air time as Sarah Palin.

Quoting back to her orginal view of a community organizer. The act of resigning to become one suggest: She doesn't want any actual responsibilities. Sealed

Even Fox News contributor Liz Trotta gets in on the act.

“Sarah Palin is inarticulate and under-educated… who really has no credentials for any job.”
-Liz Trotta, Fox News contributor.

Hmm. Tell us how you really feel, conservative person?

totally agree with the above re: giving biden same air time as palin. i honestly don't think biden is that bad.

and as far as obama, how come using the past tense re: his intelligence? the man is still an extremely intelligent individual. and his wife kicks ass.

LOL - the fact that fox news (which is always in bed with the conservative right wings) is reporting that, means palin has seriously proven to be an incompetent idiot.

Eh, I don't listen to Trotta. She is a NUT CASE. She expressed on Fox News a desire that then presidential candidate Barack Obama be assassinated prior to the election. While speaking about Hillary Clinton's reference to Robert Kennedy's assassination...Trotta said "and now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama. Um, uh, Obama. Well, both if we could".  Although she apologized the next day, a petition was made to have her fired. If anything, when Trotta speaks poorly about someone, that particular person will get sympathy, even from those that may not like him/her.

I find it disheartening that those that petioned for her job loss are now quoting and agreeing with her. SHE IS A NUT! I say, even more of a nut than Palin!

I dislike Fox News for so many reason... Too many to list. ;)

What's sad is...news is suppose to be neutral...and none of it is...as liberal as I am...[and I AM!]..I don't appreciate the NY TIMES or MSNBC -Fox News' anti-christ -..etc...just as much as I don't appreciate FOX NEWS. How in the HELL can they call themselves journalists? News? They are soooooo effing swayed to one side...it's effing ridiculous. Left, Right..no prob...blog about it...be a commentary...[which is why people like Sean Hannity [the loser that he is] gets a break from me..bc he does not call himself a journalist/news man...he makes commentary, much like a blogster person. BUT...when watching FOX NEWS or their polar opposite, MSNBC...during their news sections...they are still SO biased....it makes me sick. [Even when I agree with much that is said on stations such as MSNBC...] Media must think the American public are all STUPID...then again..with the economy sucking and the sales of tabloid magazines still making a profit...may be they are right!

yep you're right. MSNBC is definitely the polar opposite of FOX news - but i'm not gonna lie I definitely tune in to MSNBC pretty frequently during the week - i like getting the news from people closer to my political persuasion Wink

CNN i think is fairly neutral. as far as the major news networks go. Plus on weekend mornings they have a certain Mr. TJ Holmes as a morning news anchor and i happen to have an uber crush on him Cool

C'mon people - cut the woman some slack, she's resigning to move on to a higher calling.

LIVE, FROM NEW YORK, IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!

I would rather get my news from news organizations that were NEUTRAL...are there any left? I do LOVE MSNBC...RAchel Maddox rocks...but...seriously, I know I'm not getting a fair and balanced news story. It's actually frustrating. I won't bash FOX news for being biased without bashing MSNBC. They are one in the same, imo, just polar.

I just find the American public [world wide public?] are so freaking swayed by the media and now the once reliable news is becoming a platform for helping sway the public to their personal preferences. One would hope the public is too smart for that but it is OBVIOUS, many are not.

And, you are right...CNN is the most 'neutral' of the cable news networks...not to mention...Anderson Cooper is HOT!

I watch BBC as my news source [I'm a New Zealander in Malaysia] because all the American channels seem to have a spin on them. I've noticed that in all the countries I've visited, you're most likely to be able to watch BBC World News and least likely to get Fox news. Probably says something about the palatability of the content...
