Palin/Muthee - God to take control of US govt, schools & media
In a 2005 church taped appearance released yesterday , then mayor Palin gets and accepts visiting Kenyan Pastor Muthee blessing moments after he advocates her congregation to pray and vote for her as Governor BECAUSE they need officials that will have God (his words):
> “…taking over government”
> “…taking over the schools”
> “…taking over the media”
and more ...
She and her congregation had listened to him before. I’ve a second video of her inferring his religious electoral intervention was behind her becoming governor. In it, she acknowledges how familiar they are with Muthee as she retells the story of his blessing.
The 2005 Palin/Muthee Blessing Video
The Video Transcript
- 00:06 --- "In a moment, I’ll be asking you that we pray [and later he adds to vote] for Sarah, and I’ll tell you the reason why. When we talk about transformation of a community, we are talking about God invading seven areas in our society. Let me repeat that one more time. When we talk about transformation of a society, a community, it’s where we see God’s Kingdom infiltrate, influence seven areas in our society."
- 03:08 --- "I was so glad to see Sarah here. We should pray for her, we should back her up. And, you know, come the day of [Governor] voting, we should be there, not just praying, we should be there
- 03:30 --- "Congressmen, you know, you know, the, the Governors, we need the brethren right inside there. Is anybody hearing me? You know, because who will change the laws of the lands?
- 04:05 --- "If we had them, today we would not be talking about the Ten Commandments being kicked out of the church, I mean out of our schools".
- 05:04 --- "We need God taking over our education system."
- 05:32 --- "We need God taking over the media in our lands."
- 06:50 --- (Palin heads up to join him at the stage for her blessing).
- 07:32 --- "We are asking you as the body of Christ in this valley, make a way for Sarah, even in the political arena. Make her way, my God. Bring finances her way, even in the campaign in the name of Jesus".
Coincidence?
Palin thinks not.
She commented on it just months ago.
The June 2008 Palin Video
At the the beginning, she retells of the prior blessing, stressing how boldly Muthee didnt ask but ordered god to make her Governor.
She concludes "... and that's exactly what happened" and then crediting divine intervention with “... so, again, very very powerful coming from this church so that was awesome about Pastor Muthee."
NOTE: This is from her same speech in which she prior says the Iraq war is "a task from God".
I've seen all of this insanity, and frankly sun, it makes me ill.
sun, this has come up before, and some people have expressed the belief that it's irrelevant. me - i find it very disturbing. the problem with having someone in office who believes that they're there because god wants it is that that person is highly unlikely to question themselves.
if you're working on god's agenda, you must be right. no need to take advice; no need to reflect on your own motives and ambitions; no need to consider that you might ever make a mistake.
it's pretty freaken terrifying, if you ask me.
pg, you put into words EXACTLY what I am thinking. well said..
Original Post by sun123:
I dont get why the online news is picking up on his request to protect her form withcraft and ignoring that she accepts his blessing following her speech to toss the constitution and create a monarchy.
because largely we don't really have a 'news media' anymore
we have infotainment which tries to get to the truthiness of events
She accepts the blessing of a pastor to be elected on the premise that she and more like her will remove the separation of church and state.
All Ive read has said this was released yesterday and that the McCain camp has declined comment.
I seriously hope that woman falls off a cliff. Let's pray together on that
Gee, I wonder why they're trying to delay the VP debate?
And do people still believe that Palin was fully vetted by the GOP before McCain announced she'd be his running mate?
Pg, you couldn't have said it better: me - i find it very disturbing. the problem with having someone in office who believes that they're there because god wants it is that that person is highly unlikely to question themselves.
if you're working on god's agenda, you must be right. no need to take advice; no need to reflect on your own motives and ambitions; no need to consider that you might ever make a mistake.

* goes back to her witchcraft magic* mwahahaaaa
wow, a thread about the Taliban!
oh wait...just kidding...this is a thread about someone who could quite possibly be our future president.
i'm gonna go throw up now, excuse me.
Amen to #8!
Instead she returned just months ago praising Muthee and saying, Look - our church made me Governor. "...very, very, powerful..."
Awesome!
Here is an interesting documentary produced by CBC radio (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) regarding this.
Just jump the "listen to part one" to about 2:36 to hear about pastor Muthee.
Then it goes into some other stuff about Palin and her beliefs.
The whole thing runs about 20 minutes.
There was an article in the Huffington Post about this on Sept. 2. It includes a video of her speaking a the church and talking about Bishop Muthee's blessing.
Then the Pastor of the church spoke and said that Alaska has been designated by God as a refuge in the Last Days. He asked the parishioners to be ready to minister to the millions of people who will flock to Alaska. His sermons are online if you can stand to hear more - warning, it's extreme preaching.
edited to add this from the same Huffington article:
The church runs a number of ministries providing help to poor neighborhoods, care for children in need, and general community services. But Pastor Kalnins has also preached that critics of President Bush will be banished to hell; questioned whether people who voted for Sen. John Kerry in 2004 would be accepted to heaven; charged that the 9/11 terrorist attacks and war in Iraq were part of a war "contending for your faith;" and said that Jesus "operated from that position of war mode."
Do they maybe want to hurry things along? Is that the reason they support the war in the Middle East? Then my mind turned absolutely paranoid and I started thinking of her views on global warming and that damned pipeline, and off shore drilling - if the globe warms will people flock north? Is this what she wants?
All I could think was, this woman could conceivably end up in the oval office, with her finger on the proverbial button. I really, really don't want her any where near that button!
Lucky for me I had a nice cup of tea and calmed down. I'm ok now. Really...
If she clings to her position, then she's a nut job and Pg is absolutely right.
