Panera Bread/Bread Co. [Resolved]
As the title suggests, what's your favorite low calorie/fat thing to get at Panera Bread besides a salad? (And preferably not a soup)
Nothing with meat and cheese both on it, please.
Thank you!

their soups are good...maybe you can get your favorite sandwich and just take the top bread off and eat it open faced...throw the top bread away so you're not tempted to just eat it afterward...go for something with chicken and no mayo or sauces or dressings...if you must get it on the side to control how much goes on it.
no soup, no salad and nothing with meat on it? that's pretty much wiping out the entire cafe menu.
the bagels are pretty good.

The problem is I'm going with a friend, and I really don't want him to call me anorexic if I get a soup or salad, but I normally do.
And it can have meat, just not cheese as well.

How about you just go with your friend and order whatever you want and not worry about whether it's low fat or low cal?
One meal won't kill you.

Because I'm testing for my black belt on Saturday and am obsessively worrying about eating healthy until then? : P
That and I haven't been there in 2 years, so I don't have a clue what to get. XP

The chicken tomesto sandwich is really good and doesn't have cheese. You can ask them to put it on french bread instead of the cheesy bread it usually comes on. That will save you some calories as well. You can get an apple as a side. Good luck with your black belt!! That's awesome.
Panera is my favorite! I usually get the Sierra Turkey sandwich but on tomato basil bread instead of the super high calorie and fat asiago focaccia. And some chicken noodle or vegetarian black bean soup, and an apple.
I like to go for their "pick 2"...I figure I can't possibly make 2 bad choices on the same meal! I always go for the half salad/half soup, because although I like their breads, they are pretty high calorie.
I eat there pretty regularly (bookclub meets there one Monday per month, ladies bible study every Monday before work, belly dancing class goes after class on Tuesdays). Last night...1/2 a salmon salad with vegetarian garden vegetable soup and an apple instead of bread, that I saved for later. Tonight I'm going for French onion soup, no croutons or cheese, if they have it tonight, and some kind of fruity Asian salad.

there's a new roasted tomato low fat soup I've been wanting to try, as well. 110 calories. The black bean soup is awesome. of course with most soups you could have a sodium problem. . .
yum! I'm going tonight!
