Any parents of TWINS, mom needs Friends!

Quote  |  Reply

Hi 'rents!

I am a mom of 3, 6 year old lil lady Amaya, and approaching 1 year (Aug 20) boy girl twins, Piper and Dylan.

Among my struggles to lose the weight- has anyone had a really hard time?- and trying to be a parent, dad and I are together, he asks about the "big day", but wont ever pop the question, so in reality (i am blammmering) I feel like a single parent.

I don't think he has gotten up more than 10 times in the past year either during the middle of the night or first thing in the morning-

He doesn't know how or when to make bottles

I can't leave for 2 hours without him calling me every 5min asking questions

and

We seem to disagree all the time.

HELP! This mamma needs some love and support Smile In all honesty it is really bothersome and is such a struggle-

I didn't really want this post to be a rant and rave, but maybe I'll gain a few friends with expierence.

God, he just asked how to make coffee

Hello

I am sorry that you are not getting the help you deserve! I have 9 month old boy girl twins Kaitlyn and Isaac, I also have a 7 year old boy Austin. My husband and I have been married for 3 years and been together for a total of 7. Although I cannot relate to your struggles with their dad I can relate to how hard it is to raise twins. My husband has been a very big help with the twins the whole time he is very hands on which is wonderful but since having the twins we have somewhat grown apart because of the stress in raising them and our older son.  I can relate to disagreeing all the time because it seems like lately especially that's all we do is disagree. Twins come with alot of stress its double duty all the time and it wears a person down If I could I would come over and give you a hand cause I know how nice it is to be able to take a breath and just have a moment to yourself.

I am sure you have been asked this a hundred times I know I have been but is there family around that can help you out or give you a break? Both my husband and I have family who live around us but they are not much help. I dont really have an answer as to why they dont seem to want to help but it is very frustrating.

Have you talked with him to tell him you need some help? I am sure you have but maybe if you keep bringing it up he will help you out more! I don't quite know what to tell you but I do hope that things get better and I am here to give you support in anyway I can. Raising twins and an older sibling IS HARD so whenever you need to talk or vent or whatever it may be feel free to let it rip!

Sorry for such a long rambling rant!

Hey Thank you!! I know what its like to just munch on food when with the kids all day- I wish my body used the food like theirs (the kids does) By the way- the kids are adorable- so just think- at least you get to spend your day with some handsome young boys!! Good luck- we can start a support group together! I am down to 208, I was struggling but I tried one of those "Fad" 3 day diets- I altered it a little so I never ate below 1200 and had awesome results- nothing like the fad promised- I think 10 lbs in 3 days, but I lost 5 which was a good kick start for me. Now I am going to try calorie cycling and see if that helps- mood ruiner of this whole situation- it takes SO much effort sometimes to keep track of what you eat! and the cals can add up so fast if you are not careful!
