Parnormal Stuff

Ok.. So i'm really into everything paranormal.  Unfortunately I haven't had many experiences.. But, here's the one that I can remember.

Grandma and I (she was a psychic) were driving in the car.  We went past the scene of an accident and her spedometer started going from 0-to the maximum, back and forth back and forth (she was maintaining the same speed, though).  I asked her what the hell was happening and she told me her spedometer was doing that because the guy who was in the accident was fighting for his life.  As soon as we passed the seen of the accident (like, literally, right after) it just stopped and went to the right speed!!

She could never wear watches and stuff because they would go backwards or break, it was really weird.

Please share any paranormal experiences with me!! I'd love to hear them.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved storms and wanted to be out in them.  I can't really explain it, but lightning makes me feel good.  When I was a teenager we had a year with some really bad summer storms.  I think I was 17.  Anyway, I always knew when the lightning was going to be really bad.  I don't know how I knew, but I just felt it.

We had a really bad storm one night and I told my Mom the lightning was going to hit the tree that sat right against our house.  She didn't believe me, but I knew it was going to hit.  The next morning I got up expecting to see the tree outside my window toppled over.  I was disappointed to find out that the tree was still standing.

Then I discovered that lightning hit the tree in our front yard and a pretty good sized limb crashed onto our neighbors car.  It really bothered my Mom that I knew.  When I saw how much it bothered her I stopped being able to sense it.

Mom always had a sense about things and it scared her.  My maternal grandmother died when my Mom was 19.  Every time someone in the family was about to pass away my Mom would see her mother.  She said that she only saw her from the waist up floating at the foot of her bed.  Mom asked her to stop coming because it scared her, and she stopped.

When my Mom was dying I told her that she could come and visit me whenever she wanted because it wouldn't frighten me, but she never has.  One of my sister's is the only other one in my family who has ever seen as spirit and to this day she will not talk about it and it's been over 20 years.
tonitrumocha - those stories are wonderful!   Very profound.   You must lead a very interesting life!  :)
I found this thread so interesting that I tagged it.  :)  I don't have "a gift" or have had unexplainable things happen to me, but I am fasinated with those who have.  I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their stories.  :)
fishkisses - me too!  to be completely honest, the whole thing scares the shit out of me!! I dont want to be visited, or see any ghosts... or have any gifts!  UGH the whole idea gives me the willies!!  LOL   I just love to be "scared" and read about people like this...
stlgirl~I wouldn't know what I would do if I came face to face with a ghost...wet myself, scream, or faint...possibly all of the above!  I couldn't read the stories at night, either.  :)  I would be so scared to fall asleep.  lol
LOL ME TOO!!!  I love scary movies.. Love the feeling of being "scared"... just not when the lights are out, or its dark outside.  Sunday at noon is fine with me!!

And if I ever see a ghost... I too, have no clue what I would do.  I've often told my family that when they die, especially to my parents, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT come back to "visit" me...  screw that!
LMAO!  No kidding!  I never thought of that, about family coming back to see me!

I have scared myself so bad, that when I was going to bed I jumped into bed in fear that someone was under there and would grap my leg....sad thing is I am 30 year old woman!
This is not really paranormal, but it is just something that made me happy.

A few years ago one of my uncles (my dad's brother) and my grandfather (my dad's dad) died, one right after the other.  Recently I had a dream that my whole family (dad's side) got together at my grandfather's old house for a dinner.  It looked like a thanksgiving dinner.  This would be weird because that side of the faimly isn't getting along so well right now.

Well, we all sat down and after we all had come together and started talking and eating, my grandfather and uncle appeared.  They were smiling and happy, and they were eating and drinking too.  I looked around to see if anyone else saw them.  I looked at my dad and he said, Yep, I see them too.  Then I woke up.

stlgirl:

Thank you, but I don't think my life is all that interesting.  I've just had some weird experiences, they just didn't seem weird at the time.

I think when things like that happen, especially when you're a kid it's very easy to accept.  Children are naturally open because everything is new.

The first time I ever saw a spirit I didn't realize he was a spirit.  We used to play hide and seek in our attic and I always had the best hiding places.  One day my sister complained that I always took the best spots.  To make her feel better I told her that a man had shown me where to hide, but she thought I was making it up.  He didn't speak to me, he just smiled and pointed.  That man was my first ghost.

The last spirit I saw was 5 years ago, the day my mother passed.  She died of lung cancer and had refused treatment.  She wanted as normal a life as she could have with the time she had left.  Mom made me promise not to put her in a nursing home or hospice care. She wanted to die at home.  I kept my promise.

My sisters and brothers came down to the house.  Once she was pronounced dead they all left one by one.  I waited by myself for the people to come for the body.  After they came and took her away I went and sat on my bed just feeling kind of lost.

Something caught the corner of my eye and I looked up and saw a man standing in the corner by the door to my room.  He had dark hair and light eyes.  He wore a tight fitting white short sleeve t-shirt that looked like it was nylon or the material that workout clothes are made of.  He had white pants and the band of the pants had folds like a cumber bun.

I don't know why I paid so much attention to his clothes.  I find that so odd now when I think about it.

He spoke to me and said, "It's your turn now."  I took that to mean that I had fulfilled my promises and it was my turn to live.  I pretty much gave my life over to taking care of Mom.  Just then the phone rang and I turned my head to look at it.  When I turned back he was gone.  I think he was my guardian angel.

I'll have to come back to this thread and tell you about the lights in my back yard.  That was probably the strangest thing I've ever experienced.

Snowhite:

What a beautiful dream!  I think your grandfather and great uncle were really reaching out to you in a way that you could accept to let you know they were okay.  Stranger things have happened.

tonitrumocha:
tell about the lights in your back yard!
double post... opps!
oh geeze, tripple post!
Wow you guys, I have to remember tomorrow when I have nothing to do that I left off on page 5 of this thread!!  Holy crap its entertaining.

I tend to be a 'see it to believe it' kind of person.  I have not had any experiences like those described, but hearing all of them really makes me think.  This many people can't be making stuff up!

There's definitely a lot more to a person than just a physical body - and when we die, something has to be left behind.

Between this thread and the one about cockroaches, I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight!!
I experienced Old Hag Syndrom last night!  But I know what it is, so I was to scared to even try to move or open my eyes.

For anybody who doesn't know what it is, Old Hag Syndrom is sleep paralysis.  You wake up in the middle of the night, and you feel a heavy heavy weight on your chest, like someone is sitting on your chest.  And you can't move or scream.  Some people even say they see a pair of glowing eyes, and feel an evil presence in the room.

I woke up, and it felt like a cat was walking up the centre of my bed (I don't have a cat!).  Then I felt the "cat" crawl up onto my chest, and sit there. I felt the weight start at my feet and move up my body.  I refused to try to open my eyes or move, because I knew what was going on, and trying to fight it would really creep me out.  So I just layed there and tried to relax, and a minute later, I felt the "cat" creep back down my body.  Then I went back to sleep.

Ultra creepy!
Years ago, I read something about children's imaginary friends and how what they saw were spirits that they can see and talk to, but as they get older when they are told that they are just imaginary, they lose the 6th sense. Then it made me think back to when I was a little girl..... I had an imaginary friend.... whats funny... her name was "Girl Ghost".  I never really thought about it until now. Why would I name her Girl Ghost unless she was a ghost?? It brought back so many memories.   I remember the last time I saw her. My older sister was making fun of me because I talked to my imaginary friend. I ran to my room crying, and told Girl Ghost that I couldn't be friends with her anymore because people were making fun of me.  That's the last I remember of her. Now, that I think back.. its really depressing.
Wow, what a great thread!!  I've spent all morning reading it from page one!  A lot of those stories gave me chills and made my eyes water.  I have a few experiences, but they aren't nearly as good as some of the others I have read.

My first, I guess psychic thing happened when I first found out I was pregnant.  I had a dream of my daughter before I even knew if she was a boy or girl.  She looked almost exactly like she does today, but maybe a little older.  I remember drawing a picture of her after my dream, I wish I could find that picture.  But in my dream we were just playing and I remember her calling me mommy.  In my dream she she had long brown curly hair, blue eyes, and her two front teeth were a little bucked with a small gap between them.  The only difference is, that she actually has green eyes.

Oh and also, my mom has these dreams were she kind of sees into the future, and she told me I was pregnant before I knew, and I said no way I'm on birth control, well I still got pregnant even on the birth control!  She had this dream about 3 weeks before I found out.  Also she predicted my aunts pregnancy, and a different pregnancy's miscarriage.

I have two daughters. and we live in a new home that was built in 2005.  It used to be farm land before it was a track of homes.  Anyway, one day the three of us were upstairs playing in our loft.  All of sudden I felt a presence and looked up to see if anyone was there, and noticed my girls both looked up at the same exact time I did, but no one was there.  My second daughter was only like 4 months old at the time as well.  Freaky.  The two girls have done this a few other times together, and when I look to see what has caught their attention, there is nothing there.  Also, my oldest daughter gets scared at night and says she see an old ugly hat floating in her room.  I don't know if it's her imagination or a dream though.

My last experience has to do with another dream.  My grand dad passed away in 1999, and we weren't particularly close, but I think that has to do with the fact that he was my stepdad's father, but he was a great guy.  I'd think about him fromt time to time, and when I had my first daughter, we went to go visit his gravesite.   That was in 2004.  Anywho, I have never dreamt of him before this one night, and never again since then.  In the dream I was looking out of a window at my biological grandparents house down to a  yard were my parents had just planted a small tree.  All of a sudden my grand dad appeared, and in the dream I knew it was his spirit.  He just looked up at me, smiled, and waved, then he vanished.  That was it.  I told my step dad about it, and he says he has dreams of him often and they always happen just like mine. My grand dad just acknowledges him and he's gone.  Pretty crazy.

Also, my husband and I (while we were dating) used to go to this site, and it would tell you all the haunted places where by your state, and we went to go check some of them out.  We never saw anything or heard anything.  I do remember the flour on the windshield and the little children's handprints on the windshield that someone mentioned, and not being able to speed on a hill.  Sorry I forgot who that was, and I'm too lazy to go back and hunt for it, but do you live in Orange County, CA??  That's where I read about that stuff, in the Diamond Bar area I believe.

I hope this wasn't too long and rambling, but it probably is.  LOL

I have another vision story to share that just happened today. :)

Well, yesterday night I had a dream that while I was lifeguarding, a tornado formed. Now today at work, it started to thunderstorm and the clouds were moving in eerie patterns. It looked like a tornado was about to form and a funnel actually showed up but it didn't land. I thought that was so weird because the night before I had just dreamt that there was a tornado while I was working.
htracey:

Sorry I haven't checked on this thread in a while.

The sleep paralysis is where my story of the lights in my back yard starts.  Actually that was the second thing.  The first was waking up in the middle of the night hearing dogs barking.  I was laying in bed and I could hear the dogs barking.  It seemed like every dog in the neighborhood, but the strange part was that they all seemed to be taking turns.  None of the barks ran together.  Each bark was seperate and distinct.  I don't know much about animals, but I'm pretty sure that's not natural.

Then I tryed to get up and I couldn't move.  I couldn't move or make a sound.  It was starting to freak me out.  Oddly enough I wasn't as bothered about not being able to move as I was about not being able to see what was going on.  I knew I was missing something that was happening outside.

Then just before I could really panic I was able to fling my arm out.  I let out a grunt and managed to roll off my bed.  I scrambled up and got to my bedroom window.  When I looked out I saw two  orange balls of light that were about four feet around.   At first they just hovered in my backyard about 5 or 6 feet off the ground and maybe 4 feet from eachother.

Then I watched them slowly go over my fence, cross the alley and go into my neighbors yard.   I watched them go all the way out to the street and then the lights turned left and shot off instantly at an incredible speed.  I saw my neighbor run out of her back door holding her baby in her arms.  Once the balls of light were gone the dogs stopped barking.

Almost a week went by before I decided to go and ask my neighbor what she saw that night.  By the time I went over there they had moved.   I think there was a connection with what she saw and the family moving less than a week later.

Of course I wonder if anything or anyone was in my room that night and maybe that was the reason for the paralysis.  If there was I have no memory of it.  That would have been interesting.

One other time I saw something in my backyard.  I can't say exactly what it was, only that it was very tall, hairless, had very long legs and arms and seemed to be greyish in color.  I could be wrong about the color, because I only had the lights from my neighbor's yard to go by.  This thing came into the yard and crouched low by the bushes at the back of the fence.  I grabbed a flashlight and a steak knife and headed for the back door, but when I got outside it was gone.         &nb sp;

I've never heard the sleep paralysis called old hag syndrome and I didn't feel a weight on my chest or anything.  But I have felt someone sit down on my bed when no one was there.

The only time I've ever felt an evil presence was when some of my friends and I went to a town where a famous psychic lived.  My friends wanted to test my ability and see if I could spot where the woman lived.  We got to the town and turned onto the main drag and I saw a guy dressed all in black on a street corner.  He was just standing there like a sentry.  He had on a long black coat like he was in The Matrix or something.  I watched the guy jump up on a bench and his coat dangled down behind him.

Suddenly I got so sick I thought I was going to puke everywhere.  I had to lay down in the back seat.  I felt an evil presence that night.  We got to the woman's street and I picked out a house.   My friend said she lived in another house.  I said, "She might live in that house, but right now she's across the street."

I've seen some weird shit.  The weirdest thing about it is that it doesn't seem like a big deal.
