What part of your body did you first notice was shrinking?

Quote  |  Reply
First off - I thought i had seen a post similar to this before (unfortunatly didn't read it) but couldn't find it again- So I apologize if this is a repeated topic. now on with the show...

I'm down 11 lbs (yay!) and the first place I noticed a difference was the "pooch" or the abdomens "double chin" - which is great I glad its disappearing but sadly the next I've noticed is that my "twins" are deflating, sagging and loose - sorry to get descriptive here but - all the fatty tissue is toward the bottom, the roundest part of the breast - with this hanging - my actual chest is more visible and is kind of weird to me to look almost boob-less (of course this is looking in a mirror the only shows mid chest to head).  I have 60 more lbs to go before I reach a healthy BMI - I am concerned about maybe having to get a new set of twins at when all is said and done.

Anybody else want to sound off on their observations?

My thighs... and also my twins lol, but I don't feel that they're sagging much. My bras just fit much better at first and I can wear a smaller band size now! But for some reason I am losing crazy inches off my thighs.. I guess that's just where my body likes to store its weight... once I started measuring myself, my waist is also going pretty quickly too. Strangely my bust and hips are barely moving, though.. and it is the pooch around my hips that I'm most concerned about, ahhh, but I still have 40-50lbs to go so we'll see! Congrats on 11lbs!! :D
It shows the most in my face and neck.  I've lost 8" at the waist too.
Unfortunately, the chest.  Of course, the one place I don't care if I lose any weight from.
The first place I noticed what around my hips.  I had a ring of fat that looked like I was wearing a lifesafer.  My hips would bump into things...2 weeks into the weightloss and I looked at myself in the mirror one day and noticed the "lifesavor" was deflated and that I was bumping into things with it.  I was thrilled.

LOL connie1966...That is the very 1st place I lose it every time...I like my boobs and wish they could stay put...So does my hubby...He begged me not to lose the boobs but what can you do?...LOL
There's nothing you can do short of getting a boob job....which I refuse to do.  No matter what size I am it always seems like I have the top half of one person's body and the bottom half of another.  Oh well, I guess that's the curse of being a pear.....:).....adding you to my friends list if that's okay?
lapslazuli, I have the tube you speak of.  I've got two!  My top one started to deflate first.  I assume it's gravity  Oddly enough with that theory, the face was second (scratch of the head).
Face and the one place I can't afford to lose too - I think I have large ribs cage cause I need a 38 band now but the bra makers don't believe in making cup sizes smaller than a C in 38 if I find a B I buy it even though its too big too - I've tried the nearly A's but after you wash them the "padding" gets all goofy and you look like you have fibrocystic disease of the breast under your clothes LOL  Its also depresing when your abdomen is larger than your boobs.

I do weights and since doing the Pec Dec and cable crossover along with bench presses I find my chest "appears" bigger firmer and more "perky" I guess.  Like I said I don't have much but with the weights they look better and don't sag as much as they did before.

The first thing I noticed was my upper leg.  Ya sit down to pee and thats what I saw. It was shrinking... and also my wrists.  Weird huh?  But I used to be so self conscious about my wrists!
Some of the weird places you don't really notice at first but will lose are ring sizes and shoe sizes.  I went from a size 9 wide to an 8 in shoes and have had to have my wedding rings resized 2 times and they need it again.  I find I am always playing with them cuz they are so loose and slipping around.  Only problem is I have big knucles so to get it big enough to fit around knuckle but small enough to not slip more easily is a feat LOl...

I'm horrible, I didn't even bother re-sizing my wedding ring.  I just took it off and put it away.  (hubby really liked that...NOT...hee hee)

I did try it on a week or two ago and I can get it on but its still too uncomfortable.
Well I honestly can't tell that much, but my family and personal trainer have said they notice my face getting thinner and my mom says so is my belly and butt. But I haven't even lost that much weight yet!
my belly. my thighs a little too. my boobs. (yay!)
Oddly enough, I wish my twins were shrinking faster then they are.  But, my family tends to be top heavy.
My tummy, thighs, and hips are first to shrink.  Also I have noticed my upper arms are toning and looking better.

I do strengthening and stretching exercise 2-3 times a week + cardio almost everyday though.
My boobs and ass were the first to go. :(
dbackerfan - trying hanging your bras dry.  the dryer will warp them beyond recognition, especially those padded ones.  Mine have kept their shape much better since I started air drying them.

As for weight loss, I've noticed the most loss from my waist and belly.  If only my butt would catch on... I always seem to have ample belly room when I buy pants, but barely enough room in the back.
I lost a full cup size and 2 inches on the chest
I've lost a total of 23 pounds since I started, and I can't see that it has come from anywhere.  My clothes all still fit (sigh) and aren't even that much loser.  I have noticed, however, that I seem to be a little slower, so I'm thinking that perhaps my weight loss is coming from my brain? (laughing)  My husband, being ever so supportive, says that he hasn't noticed any weight loss either.  The scales show it, but the tape measure does not.  If there is anything at all that feels different, it would have to be my bra, which is maybe a little less tight - but I can't say for sure it's not my imagination.  I spend a great lot of my time in scrubs, which are lose anyway, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed?

Oh well, onward and downward - I won't quit regardless.  Doc appt. on April 5, maybe he'll notice :)  Probably not, but maybe :)

Stacie
Mostly everything I've lost so far has come from my stomach, and just a little bit off of everything else.  Pants that I couldn't fit into 2 months ago when I started dieting I can now comfortably fit in to now, so that's nice.
