For rice, they have both cooked and uncooked. for Pasta it is 2 ounce dry weight (1/8 of 1 pound box) However, 1 portion is a bit less than I imagined. I always measure dry weight, since it is just less messy and less variation depending on how long you cooked and how much water you put.

ah ok gd :).. im rly glad about the pasta thing, i ate some yesterday and it was hardly anything since i weighed it after cooking lol... went to bed very unsatisfied :p

thx for the info!! :)

Pasta is notoriously hard to measure because of all the different shapes.   I too weigh out my portion dry - 2 ounces.  I've found that it comes to about 1 cup cooked, although with large shapes like bowties & rigatoni it's a little more.  I used to eat big portions and the 2 ounce portion seemed small at first.  I filled up on vegetables and now, a year later, find that I can't eat more than that one serving of pasta.  I'm very happy with this new habit!
