Pasta Seasoning - yummy!

Hey everyone :)

Just thought I would share this little gem I found at Trader Joe's!

It's called - Pasta Seasoning Blend - It's a mix of Onion, Garlic, Basil, Lemon Peel, Paprika, Fennel, Oregano, Black Pepper, Ginger, Thyme and Lemon Oil.

I'm a person who loves pasta, and also loves to put salt on pasta.  This is has saved me from adding ANY salt to my pasta dishes.  I definitely recommend it.  It tastes awesome and adds pretty colors to my meal. 

It's always nice when food looks pretty. :)

Sounds great ! I'd love to try it but honestly i dont think i'd take the time to fix it..hehe

The seasoning blend is already mixed, so it's just a matter of fixing the pasta :) - 

I used to hate making pasta because I thought it took a long time - I hated waiting for water to boil :)

So I started boiling the water when I was doing something else, then I throw the pasta in while still working on other things.  As long as I'm busy, I tend not to notice. :)

awesomeness.  you can find lots of salt-free spice/herb blends at penzey's.  ever been there?  you can find them online:  http://www.penzeys.com  they're quite reasonably priced and family-run.  and all their stuff is super high quality.

Ooh...I've never been to Penzeys.  I just checked on line and there is one in my city.  I'll definitely check it out.  Thanks for the tip!

good to hear.  also, if you're on their mailing list, you get coupons sometimes.  the catalog is actually quite informative, bec it gives you information on all the different varieties of each spice and descriptions for what's best to use it for(bec like w/cinnamon for instance, there are so many different kinds and you sort of don't know which is best). 

When my mom was a chef, she SWORE by Penzy's.  Don't have a store near me, or I probably would too.  :3 

What's the brand name of this-is is Penzy's?  I'd like to try and find it.

I've never heard of Penzey's before, but I checked out the site and there is one really close to me!  I will definitely check it out.  Thanks for the info!

see above for the link to their website and contact information.  there aren't many actual stores, so you may have to do mail order.  good luck! 

If you were asking about the brand name of the pasta seasoning - it's actually made by Trader Joe's.  Just check out a TJ's near you..it's with all the different spices, salts, etc.

Penzey's is The Bomb!  I used to mail order from them but now there's a store in my city.  The smell in their store is like HEAVEN.

I use their salad dressing mixes all the time, and not just in salad dressings, but sprinkled on baked potatoes, or on roasted vegetables, too.  I haven't tried it on pasta, but it sounds like something I should try.
