i wanna get PB2 so bad! but my mom probably wouldn't go for it.

and i just though of another PB2 idea! if you need a quick breakfast, mix a packet of No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast (rich chocolate flavor) with 1 tbsp PB2 and stir in 1 cup milk. it'll come out to only about 200 cals, and it's a quick option. like a liquid peanut butter cup, lol. oh man, now i want to try this so bad!
what if you added pb 2 to stiffened egg whites. it would increase the volume. I'm not sure what you'd have it with though...

for everything real, there is something fake

in 100 years from now, is everyone gonna be fake, are we even gonna be people...are we gonna be powdered people?
PB2 isnt fake...

Its as fake as flour... or olive oil...

Its very simply pressed nuts (very close to what flour is, milled grain). They press out the oil (like olive oil, only instead of eating the fat, you are using the protein solids...).

They add a little sugar and salt back into it to make it mix up like peanut butter... but its very little (and you can get it without it, and then just add those things yourself).

I know its different then what your used to seeing, its not something you grew up with... but look at it objectively...its not really fake (its nothing like splenda or some man-made chemical).
I soooo want to try this but it'll have to wait till I return to Canada.  I wonder if I set up a PO Box in the states if I can get it shipped there so it doesn't cost big bucks to get it into Canada.......I want to try those Vita top muffin thingys everyone is on about too!
I had never heard of this stuff before, but I'm always willing to try new products. I ordered four jars of this stuff and I hope it's as good as you guys say. My mom will love this stuff too, because she loves peanut butter, but she's not supposed to have very much of it. If we both hate this stuff, who wants to buy it off of me?

LOL
Nuno,
You said that jokingly, but I actually did just that (bought surplus jars from a fellow cc'er who didn't need or want all 4 jars :)

If you discover you do not like it or have too much, I would suggest a post in your journal mentioning it and you might find some takers.
OR, ebay. I see it on ebay all the time....since it's not available everywhere.

However, I love it. It's a bit different (just a tad, imho), but very good and a wonderful alternative.

MC
this morning i mashed up one very overripe banana with a TBSP of PB2 and spread it on toast. it was so delicious that i ate the leftover spread with a spoon and it tasted just like banana bread batter.... i highly recommend this to satisfy a peanut butter & banana sandwich craving!

MY Daddy just bought like 6 jars of the regular PB2 and 6 jars of the Chocolate kind just because the shipping etc. made more since that way to him XD

So, I really hope I like it! I am pretty sure I will, I like just about anything and if it is at least better than that walden farms **** attempt I'll take it!

My ideas are already gravitating to putting it (pre-whipped) on top of my hot or cold cereal and parfaits and even BETTER on top of my cornbread or chocolate vita muffins >< (Anyone try any of these already?)

If you take any nut or seed, remove the fat, dry it and grind it, it's essentially flour at that point.  That's how all flours are made.  So this is in essence, peanut flour.  Although I avoid packaged and processed foods like the plague, I checked the website and if what they say is true there actually is true, it's not so bad I think.  Nothing artificial in it, no chemicals used in the processing, just pressed to remove the fat and then ground up into a powder.   Makes you wonder why no one thought of it before!!!!  When someone comes out with an organic version with no added salt or sugar I'll give it a try...lol....

I added water to mine, but not too much because then its too runny.. its so good!

Yep, it's pretty much peanut flour.

I purchased a huge 5-pound bag of it from a company called Byrd Mill, and it was quite reasonably priced compared to buying the PB2 -- and the peanut flour I bought had no added salt or sugar, so I could sweeten it to taste.  I love the stuff. ^_^

I just bought 2 jars of this 2 days ago and tried it yesterday for the first time (thanks to this thread). I am happy to report to me it tastes exactly like peanut butter (even my wife said the same thing) - the only real difference I could find is the texture - it is "stickier" and not as "spreadable" but that's because the oil isn't in there any more! Glad I can enjoy peanut butter again, I missed it.
