I had peach cobbler for breakfast!!!

Quote  |  Reply
Well, not really but its as close as I was willing to get lol. Well basically I made my oats and once they were almost done added about a serving of frozen peaches and set it on low. Once they were warmed through I transfered to a bowl, added splenda and cinnamon. Then I added almonds and some vanilla soymilk. It was pretty good if I may say so myself. It would have been even more realistic with granola, but I can't trust myself around that stuff and I am aiming for low cal. Anyway, definitely try it!!! I am also an advocate for "pumpkin pie" oatmeal. So delish!

1/2 cup oats cooked 1 cup water (could substitute milk/soymilk). once they are almost done cooking, throw in peaches. Can be frozen or fresh. Put on low heat and let peaches heat through. Then put in bowl. Add splenda (or whatever sweetener you prefer). Then add almonds (or granola/fiber one/whatever). Then i just put in a splash or two of soymilk. Not enough to drown the bowl but to make it a bit creamier. And eat.

Our local orchards are still picking freestone peaches and they are wonderful this year.  Thanks for the recipe idea!

That sounds so good. I have to try it.
