Peanut Butter
I llllooovvveee peanut butter, and will eat it by the spoonful if given the chance, but i don't love the calories. anyone found anything super peanut buttery to help this? any suggestions to quell the craving? any substitutes or lower calorie versions that are actually good?
I too like peanut butter very much. If I happen to be craving it or something sweet and have the caloric budget to use, I will usually have a PB sandwich using whole wheat bread with a couple tablespoons of PB and 8oz of milk to wash it down.
If I do not have the caloric budget, I will reach for the Nature Valley Peanut Butter oat health bar. Each bar is only 100 calories and of course there are two in a pouch. Good PB flavor and pretty satisfying too.
I like better n butter. Beware if you are truly a PB buff this may taste super "fake" to you. I thought so at first but grew to like it. It's not bad but just taste different plus the consistency is a tad bit sticky like. But it has 100 calories for 2 tbps and only 2 grams of fat, so I'll sacrifice some taste to calm my PB obsession lol
I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER TOO!! I swear it has crack in it! They have some called PB2...which is a powder and you add water. I have yet to try it because you have to order 4 minimum!! I plan on ordering it though...they even have chocolate peanut butter now. Good luck!

They're too good! A bowl of this plus some soy milk is heaven!
PB2 is amazzzzing!!!....they even have a chocolate PB2 (only about 50 calories for 2 tbsp) and im telling you my life would not be complete without it..:)
I am on Weight Watchers and people sware by the PB2. But you have to buy it online and in bulk... or a health food store.
Look for Bella plantation or something like that.
I love it too - but it's hard for me to have just a little...so I have the South Beach 100 calorie peanut butter bar. Answers my craving and is just the right size, and just enough calories!

Yes, Barbara's Peanut Butter Puffins are amazing. I definitely second this. A 30g serving has 110 calories, 2g of fat, 2g of fiber, 6g of sugar, and 3g of protein. They make a great breakfast, snack, and addition to a trail mix. Very good with some light vanilla soymilk. You could also try a little peanut butter flavored protein powder, or Naturally More peanut butter.
I too love peanut butter, so much in fact that I am scrificing it for Lent. So difficult to do!! I seriously think that I am addicted to Peanut Butter as I will sit down with the jar and eat like half of it...then I will feel sick afterwards. I haev such a hard tome stopping though. I would even sacrifice other calories during the day so that I could gorge on Peanut butter later. All that peanut butter caught up to me, though...i gained 16 ounds since being at college. I think that a lot of it has to do with that. So a few weeks before Lent is over, I think I am going to order some of that PB2 stuff that everyone is talking about. I went on the website, it looks interesting. Does it taste exactly like peanut butter?
