Peanut Butter!
So I really need/want to loose weight but my weakness is peanut butter. I love it so much and I don't think I can stay away from it. What kind of peanut butter is the healthiest? Is there any good substitutes?
I used to eat reduced-fat peanut butter and I always liked it. It doesn't spread as easily as regular - it doesn't have as much oil, so it's dryer - but I think it tastes as good. (The only reason I don't eat it now is I've started to develop allergies to nuts and I'm not sure how peanuts will affect me.) I've also seen Almond Butter in the grocery store. Almonds are supposed to be good for you, so maybe almond butter is better for you than peanut butter. My suggestion would be to read the labels when you're in the grocery store.
u have to try PB2...i swear by it!!!
I like the Wal Mart reduced fat peanut butter. It's quite flavorful (and much less than the name brands!). Tonight, I had a slice of wheat toast with PB and a banana sliced up as well. Yum!!
I sometimes don't get enough protein in a day and PB is a good way for me to give my protein intake a boost. :)
I really like the Natural Peanut Butter.
I don't see why you can't lose weight and eat peanut butter at the same time?? why don't you have it for breakfast or snacks and enjoy what you like. just measure everything and you will be fine.
1 table spoon of PB is like 90 calories. I have some almost everyday. Just dont go overboard with it, which is easy to do.
OMG!!! I love my peanut butter! I eat it every day and I have lost over 100 lbs over 2 years! Yes, portion control is the key. Don't just dip in and pig out, without measuring it first.
if you're having portion control issues with peanut butter, i suggest going to one of those wholesale stores or warehouses and buying those individual servings of peanut butter that you get at restaurants for toast. they're like 100-ish calories, and really good portion control.
I eat peanut butter everyday and am losing weight just fine-- just account for it in your calorie and fat consumption for the day. It's a great way to get a little extra protein... if you can get a natural peanut butter, that won't have quite so much sugar and processed crap. You can also check your local health food store and get SunButter, which is peanut butter made out of sunflower seeds. It does nto taste like peanut butter, but is a bit healthier. But, unless you are going overboard, there is no harm in peanut butter.
Walden Farms makes a "peanut butter" spread. I've never tried it but it is advertised as "calorie free."

If the only ingredient is peanuts, that's the healthiest. If the ingredients are peanuts and salt, that's the second healthiest. If there are more ingredients than that, don't buy it.
I am a full fedged PB addict-all the natural ones are great! I put a tbs of crunchy in my oatmeal-it is to die for.
Right now my weight is stuck and I have ONLY (that is big because it is taking forever!) 7-8 lbs to lose-So I am going to order PB2 -I hope it is as good as everyone says.
I'd recommend the full fat, natural peanut butter (especially if it's the crunchy kind :D)
Just work it into your daily calories and you're golden. (The fats in peanut butter are healthy for you... your skin, hair and nails will thank you.)
You need organic or natural peanut butter! It tastes better and is better for you. The only downfall is it seems to get harder to spread. You know what I love? Almond butter. I recently bought it for the first time. When I took it out of the fridge and discovered that it was still very soft and very easy to spread I was so happy!
On the go andin the know.
