Hi everyone, I am a happy go lucky pear. I've been losing and watching weight for 20months, and I've been trying to lose 15 more pounds. I'm stuck in the middle of 144-147 pounds. I always end up losing 2 to 3 pounds, and then.. BAM! I'm right back up to 147, and sometimes even 148..

I want to know.. What works for you?
I know everything that works will not always work for another, but it's worth a try.

My Measurements Are:
5 Even Smile
36D
32W
45H

You are welcome to look at my gallery. I've lost a great deal of weight. I just want to know.. Why can't I lose the rest of my hips? Or maybe even just a little more.

I hear you!

My measurements are

13" neck
36C
34" waist
43" hips

I don't even want to know what my thighs are.

I'm at 177 right now, down from 181 and 5' 9" I want to hit 173 by next month and eventually get down to 165.

If the workout routine I'm on right now works for getting rid of the last bits of baby fat, I'll let you know.  I'm varying my cardio routine, and on lower body workout days I do squats and lunges with weights.  I've slooowly lost a few pounds over the last couple months, but I've definitely gained muscle, so that's probably throwing the scale off.

You're preaching to to choir here... but I've 99% accepted that I'll always have big thighs, big booty, and big hips haha.

My measurements:

34C
28" waist
42" hips

Yep.. classic triangle shape!
I started off at around 150/160[5'5"], and now I'm down to somewhere near the 130 mark (I don't believe in scales Wink) and I have noticed my hips and thighs shrinking a tad, but they're still larger than I would like. I would suggest zigzagging your calories(I'm attempting it for the first time this week, I've hit a bit of a plateau as well >.<), or perhaps switching up your excersize routine! Running has done wonders for my legs, they look soo muscular, even if they've got a bit of fat on 'em.

I think you look fantastic btw! Hips are womanly and super sexy, embrace them!

Yeah! I've been blessed with my mom's shape, and I don't know where I got this tush from, but part of it is from my mom, and the other half has to be coming from my dad's sister... I tell you. I can't get it right with these damn hips.. I love them, don't get me wrong, but it's so hard shopping for them, and to see the last of your weight pounds has to come from your freaking tush, and hips is a killer as well.. I wish I can say.. I don't use scales, but I have to keep an eye on my weight twice a week.. Once on Sunday or Monday, and then again on Wednesday. My finace loves it. What man don't love curves for hours and days on a woman... I lost the first 30, and he said.. HEY! What's going on here.. I lost another 30, and he said.. There goes my pillows, and then I lose 10 more.. I still look the same, and I'm like.. Could it be the ass on it's way.. Then I get the yo yo numbers.. Backwards and Forwards..
I've ran, I've zigzag, I do weight train as if I was paying dues in church, and dammit.. I feel.. A good week is a good week, and a bad week is a bad week, and what in the hell am I doing so wrong to make the scale bounce up and down like a freaking ball on a basketball court. I just need to lose 10 more pounds, and I will be happy. I love to shop too, and trying on jeans for a hour in a department store can be very stressfull too..

hey there, I hear you on the pear shape. It is so hard to get the right cut for jeans. It is also frustrating to be small on top and so large on the bottom.

Who in the world has a 32 inch waist with hips that freakin' big? Sometimes I feel like I have two different bodies from the waist up and waist down. Let's not even talk about the thighs...I've lost 40 pounds altogether since April - but only 1 1/2 inches off of each thigh! Believe it or not, I've managed to lose 1-2 inches off of my hips pretty steadily for the last several months(6.5 inches since June). Have you tried circuit training? I do 45 minutes of circuit training at Curves. Don't know if you have ever heard of it or not, but basically you switch between cardio and hydraulic resistance machines every 30 seconds. You could really do it anywhere, at home or a gym. The machines include a variety for arms and legs, including squats, etc. Do you use a treadmill when you run? If so, try putting it on an incline of 3.5 or more. This is good for your glutes. I do this when I run intervals on the treadmill twice a week for an hour. Do you do squats or lunges? I also came across this routine (http://blog.ediets.com/2008/07/better-butt-di et-super-6-week-plan.html). I haven't tried it, but was going to start with it this week. Hope this helps. Hang in there, those hips will be goneSmile

GOOD!Well, not good, but I thought I was just a freak of nature haahaha.  I'm not skinny but I'd say I'm lean-5'7 130 lbs. I'm very athletic and yet no matter what exercise I do, I have a super slim top and long legs, and then I wear a swimsuit and people are suddenly SHOCKED to find quite a large butt in comparison to the rest of my body. It makes it so hard to buy clothes-sometimes I think it's that way b/c I work out a lot so it....stays quite perky?! Lol! But yes-I started at 138 and after 3 months nothing. I'll find I have one bad day of eating and the scale goes right back if not over.  sigh. O well-I figure I'd rather have a nice round bottom than be bigger on top!
