Pedometer steps - how do you record your steps on CC site?
I put on my pedometer first thing in the am and take it off at the end of the day. I can't figure out how to record those "all day" steps on the CC site. I want to get Burn credit for all those calories I've used. Some days, I log 20,000 steps!

I use a pedometer as a motivational base for my walking. The pedometer work to motivate and is very inaccurate for actual distance measurement. Whoever Steps are based on an average person in height with an average stride length walking at an average page and they would average 2,000 steps in a mile. To factor in time you have to use the "Mifflin Equation" or "Harris-Benedirt Equation" to measure energy output. Where walking at a shopping pace is 2 mph, walking as if going to work or catch a bus is 3 mph and aerobic walking 3.5-4.0 mph average. For example: walking 20,000 steps / 2,000 = 10 miles at 3.5 mph = 2.857 (2 hours and (60min x .857) 51 minutes) - hope this helps
My pedometer states how many calories I burn whilst taking my steps. Okay, its not accurate but its very much encouraging me! I just add them in as my own activity and let CC do the rest... ![]()
