Hi, I'm 19, 5"6' and I weigh 115. I'd like to maintain and get into better shape because I miss the feeling of being able to run up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. Tongue out

I'm 5 feet 6 inches and am currently 110 pounds. My goal is to be 99 pounds in two months.

Hi,

I'm 15, 5 feet 5 inches and weigh 110 pounds. My weight goal is 105 pounds as soon as healthily possible.

 

I'm 5'5 & 123ish today & aiming for 110ish.

I'm 19 & currently 37 around boobs, 33 around top of rib cage (where bra goes)

Smallest part of my waist by belly button, is 24, where pants go, 26

widest part of hips accross butt is 36.

What shape am I?

I feel positively old !   I am 48 , yes prehistoric...I am 5ft 6 and am currently 105-ish but thats too light for me and I don't feel healthy..I am cold, get tired , lightheaded and know I need to put on a bit of weight...I was much fitter and felt healthier around 120-125lbs..thats where I need to go but as chronicled elsewhere thats going to be a big step for me.

 

To beachbabe,and hannahboots, I wouldn't go there ..that kind of weight is not a good place to be....trust this old voice of experience

I'm 16.5 (hehe) 5'5" and 112 lbs. Don't have any measuring tape handy, but I'm small-framed and looking to get/stay between 112-115

 

 

*EDIT*: Just got weighed yesterday at 104.6 lbs. Not expecting that. At. All.

New goal is to get back up to a healthy weight, not exactly sure what number that will be.

I am 19 years old, 5'6'' and 139 lbs. My goal is to be 125 anytime before October. I'd like to build muscle and hopefully run a half-marathon before December Laughing. Hope y'all reach your goals and stay healthy!

I'm 18 and I did weigh 134 up until last friday but now I'm back up to 139lbs. I gained 13 pounds froms stupid college. i started at 130 and finished up at 143 gah I've been exercising more and thats how i got down to 134 but now i'm a fatty again and back to 139. My measurements are 34-27-39. I have huge hips, I'm a classic pear shape. I usually wear a size 4/6.

I'm 20.  5'6" I weigh 101.  I hope to get to be about 125-130 ish someday soon.

brookevt: at 5'5" and 112 lbs you're at a BMI of 18.6 .. which is already underweight.  If you were to lose 6 lbs that would put you at a very low BMI of 17.6 .  I think you need to reassess your goal and what is considered healthy...

Although the goal weight may be within a technically "healthy range", it still may be too thin for you as it is a dramatic amount of weight to lose. I think a healthier approach is to do smaller milestones and reassess how you feel each time as you achieve the weight that feels most healthy for you.

Did you know that teenage females need to consume no less than 1500 calories per day? So the fact that you are aiming to eat less than 1500 (and I got the sense from your other threads that it is significantly less than 1500) per day, you are actually just causing long-term damage to your metabolism and health overall, you will get to a point where eating so little you will no longer lose weight, or alternatively you will enter true starvation - both with long-term damaging effects to your health.

That is NOT a healthy and SUSTAINABLE way to lose weight.

  • Please up your calories to a minimum of 1500 per day and I know you will still lose weight and will do it such that once you reach your goals you can MAINTAIN it, instead of piling on weight again and living in a yo-yo dieting world.

    why are half the people here underweight/aiming to be underweight?

    its not as 'awesome' as you think it is, trust me.
