Hey!

I'm 25 and I would like to do this with you. Here are my stats:

SW: 298

CW: 243

GW: 178 (this may change as I get closer)

I'm 5'6" and currently between a size 20-22.  I know it's still a big size, but down from a 26 so hooray!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I read your profile and you are doing SUCH an amazing job!  We WILL do this together.  So let me know how I can help keep you on track, would weekly weigh-ins work for you?  work out motivation?

Thanks for the congratulations - I wasn't expecting that!  I usually do my weigh-in on Saturday mornings.  I weigh in a couple of times during the week to keep myself on track, so I can give updates that way too. I just need some friendly encouragement and the opportunity to return the favor.

What do you need that I can help you with?

Girl, I'm in the same boat! Lets get to losing!

okay girl, glad to have you on board, what's your goal?

My goal is to be 130lbs! WOOOHOO and at least me semi thin before I turn 30 next March!

Umm, You said nothing! You gotta write something, gees! Cool

lol, i don't know what happened there? each time i hit "edit post" it will only let me preview or edit again...never giving me an option to post it?  relax...i'm new at this!

I'm new too! We have that in common! So, umm, Florida in 4 months! Frown I scared!!

fyi--melissa, kelly and i used to work together so we know each other in real life, if you see us referencing things that you don't get it's probably just something going on with us.  we're going to destin together in september and we've been procrastinating with the weight loss thing...time to get down to bidness **that's how i say business when i REALLY mean it!!!

Ok ladies, let's get down to bidness.  What are your calorie and activity goals?

I'm sticking around 1850-1950 and working out 4-5 times a week for 45 minutes to an hour either walking, doing a walk-jog combo (oh yea, I can totally jog for like 3 straight minutes now), tae bo, circuit training in my basement, or anything else that gets my heart rate up.

By my 3rd wedding anniversary - September 4th - I will be 100 pounds lighter at 198.  Hells yea. By Christmas, 120 pounds lighter.  I have to get my body into baby-making shape!!

you are SO fun! well right now my target calorie count is 1450 and i have an air climber *baby stairmaster* that i want to use for 10 minutes a day in the evening, doesn't sound like much, but for now that 10 minutes leaves me completely breathless!  i have a few go-to pilates moves that i will be doing in the mornings...that's all for me right now.  the calorie counting alone should help me drop a lot of weight, i used to have a personal trainer and he had me at 1500 cals. with hardcore working out so i should be absolutely fine with the 1400-1450 range.  3 minute jog...woo hoo!  i long to be one of "those girls" that jogs in her soffe shorts downtown with her dog...one day!

Hi ladies!!!  :)
I'm 23 and my cw is 254 and I would like to get down to 160, but I would settle for 180 too.
I started this dieting-exercise stuff about a month ago with I was 265. I walk twice a day for 30 mins and I try to take the stairs at work when ever possible. Also I try not to consume more then 1200 calories in a day.

We can do this!!

I'm on board too! I don't know my cw but I definitely need to loose more than 100 pounds.  I shoot for around 1500 calories a day and my limit is 1800. I recently added push ups, 5 reps of 10 a day, to my routine because I'm a horrible exerciser and I hate my arms more than anything! Hoping to add more exercise soon!

My gw is 140 and I'm 5'7"

Let's get to work!

Welcome to the Board! Well ya'll seem to be doing great. Lets hope soon, I'll be with ya.

I have limited myself to no more than 1200 calories a day. I walk around the building a couple times a day. And I've got a tread mill at home that is just waiting to be set up! :) HOPEFULLY Friday it'll be set up and ready to Rock N Roll!! I'm going to Florida in 4 months and WOW do I got some work to do!! Bring on the Ice Cube diet! :) Hope ya'll have a great day!

um, can I just throw in some caution here? I tried the limiting myself to 1200 calories diet. It sucks, and you won't be doing your metabolism any favors. Make sure to consult with CC to find out how many calories you need for your current weight, height, and activity level. If you limit too much you will actually slow your metabolism down! I had to up my calories from 1200 to 1400, and I was told to make sure my deficit wasn't more than 500 calories a day. Just be careful ladies; your bodies need the nutrients! I'm here if you need help finding stuff ;)

Thanks for the advice. I spoke to my Dr. last night and he told me to up it to between 1400 - 1600. So, I up my calories to 1400.

Good news. The last time I weighted myself was March 15th. And since then I have lost 24lbs. Now that is probably due to the stress of having a very sick parent and spending my whole days and half my nights in the Hospital. So, I'm sure it'll slow down now but still 24lbs! Go me! :)

My doctor was telling me last night that I need to get a pedometer and try to do 10,000 steps a day. Which of course at first, I doubt I'll be at 10,000 but he said if I limit my calories to between 1400 and 1600 and do 10,000 steps a day, there is NO way I wont lose weight. And it'll come off the healthy way! :) So, I'm gonna try that and see what happens. Cool

First off THANK YOU for everyone that is taking time to post on here!  I'm really happy and more motivated than ever to lose this weight.  Thanks Stacy and Kekri for joining us and Iridescent your advice was absolutely on point.  Kelly I'm glad that your Dr. upped your caloric intake and I agree that a pedometer would be a great tool to use.  24lbs!  Girl YOU did that, stress may be a small part of it but I know you've been working hard and counting calories and YOU did that!  Also, for all the folks on here that don't know me (*everyone except kelly*) I kind of feel like JD on Scrubs when it goes to commercial break he says "Don't Leave Me, I'm Needy"!  Ya'll better stay with this or I will track you down!  (in a non creepy non violent, friendly e-mail reminder kind of way!)

Thanks for the concern and advice iridescent_identity. I talked to a dietition I have been working with and she said that that was a great number for me. Also, I had to submit a food journal for two weeks and she said that I was doing great and sticking to my calorie count and I was near the 1200 mark.
