Stay strong deegirl_06!  I went to the gym today & picked up the new schedules....I will have to get into a good routine.

Hey, good to see people responded. It's good you're getting back into your routine, better late than never. I have an exercise routine but it has been getting interrupted by other activities. I have to make up for it I guess. So far, in the month of January I've lost about 7 pounds. So happy. But the beginning of February has not been the best. I feel unmotivated and just need the same zazz I had in January. I would love to keep up with you guys, let me know how everything goes.

Do you have room foor one more?

I'm 23, 5'9", and have made a couple of rather abortive attempts at weight loss using CC in the past, but I got discouraged because nothing much seemed to be happening, and once I even gained a couple of pouns . Well, after hitting 360 last winter I didn't do much out of my usual routine until weighing myself again in mid November to find that I was down to 340. Shock! Unfortunately, I was broke at  the time and spent the rest of 2008 living on fruitcake and Christmas candies that friends and relatives gave me since I couldn't afford to buy healthful food. I was certain I'd gained all the weight back and even thought I looked fatter in the mirror, so when January rolled around and I got my financial aid for school I immediately stocked up on fruits and veggies, and on my first day back to the gym a couple of days later I weighed 330 pounds. WTF? I've no idea how that happened, but I'm not complaining!

Anyway, I've decided to do everything I can to lose more since then, so I'm hoping hanging out with you lovely ladies can keep me motivated. (I found out in NaNoWriMo that I'm more likely to succeed if I can talk to others who are going through the same ordeals and see how they're handling it!) Since I started at 360, I'd like to lose a nice even 200 from that and see what I look like at 160, and fine tune from there. I've been around 300ish since I was a teenager and was always a fat kid, so I have a hard time believing it's even possible to get there. I know that if I can lose about 2 lbs per week I could get to 250 by the end of the year and 160 before 2011, and it's encouraging to see that others on this site have lost that much, but I have a very hard time imagining it! You girls who have managed to do so much are really inspiring!

I used to eat around 1200 calories and usually skipped breakfast, so now I'm being strict with myself to eat that much only on days I'm sedentary and more when I exercise, and to have my largest meal first thing in the morning. So far I'm finding it pretty difficult to get interested in food that early, but I'm hungrier throughout the day afterward. Is that normal?

Yikes, sorry for the long first post! Guess I'm just talkative today.

At first I thought your post said you lived on fruitcake and Christmas CANDLES!  Ahahaha!  I thought, man she really was bad off!

Is this thread still active?  Are there any 20 somethings out there still needing to loose 100+ lbs?

I do!! Message me!
