HELLO!!

This Challenge is only for COMMITTED CC users that are determined to achieve their weight loss goals!

Weigh ins will be on Mondays, we will start Monday October 13th with our starting weight and go 10 weeks through Monday December 22nd to work towards losing 10% of our current body weight. There will also be 2 bonus weigh ins one after Christmas (Dec. 29th) and one after the New Year (Jan. 5th)! To help keep our Holiday dieting in check!

Challenge rules:

1. If you miss the FIRST weigh in you will be taken out of the challenge and your spot will be offered to someone else! If you miss 2 consecutive weigh ins with out reporting anything you will be taken out of the challenge!

2. Add all other challenge members to your friends list! This way you can see all journal posts and I also encourage to comment on journal posts for extra motivation and to keep YOU on track!

3. You must report your weight no matter what... If you have a bad week I would still like you to post your weight! If you have a bad week It is fine but in order for you to keep on track you should be accountable for your stumbles here and there!

4.I encourage everyone to check this thread everyday and to post anything and everything that you want! Weight loss, fun facts, interesting stories, anything to help us get to know each other better!

Each participant that reaches their 10% goals will receive a badge to put up in their gallery for the achievement!

okay, so my first weigh - in. 66kgs, which i think is 146?

I am psyched, cz i didn't weigh all week, and now looks like I've dropped. Altho, I typically weigh at night, and this was at 10;30am, so it might only have to do with timing. Still gonna let it encourage me, tho! Good luck, everyone!

So technically it's Monday night here, but I didn't want to post like 14 hours ahead of everyone else, so here was my weight this morning:

First weigh in: 155 Undecided

Goal for this challenge: 140

Actual end goal - around 135 (see how I feel when I get there)

I came over from the 10% by Halloween challenge where I won't meet my goal but the group has helped! I am losing weight to be healthier, to look and feel better and to be able to do more.

I had been down to around 142 about 2 years ago and then I met my bf...he cooks, we were long distance for a time so a lot of sitting and driving...eating late, drinks, etc. And surprise it all came back!

My plan is eating whole grains, non-processed food and cutting back on sugar. I am eating more fruit and veggies and lots of good protein.

I am also taking abs+ and shape+ supplements and planning to ad leans+ this week. These will help me burn more fat. I really like these supplements.

Goal weight: 127 (I think that is 7%, rounded to the next pound...)

I'm so glad I have another group to help me make it through this term! What a doozy it will be. But I'll make time for you, and that will help me remember to make time for me! :)

 

All right! This mornings weigh in at 136. (Which is a two pound drop since last Monday. Yay!)

Goal weight of 10% is 122 (rounded down)

My actual goal is two pounds less than the 10% which is 120.

We can do this guys just stay focused. Nice to meet everyone.

My goal is 120 then I'll reasess how I feel.  (I have a small frame, for years I thought I was large, then it was medium and once the fat started dropping away, low and behold I have small wrist and elbow spaces)

I'm curious of some of the other plans that some of you are on, what seems to be working for the rest of you ?  A side from the obvious of working out and watching cals, I'm always interested in gettting tips.

So, I doubt I will end up reaching my goal this challenge, mainly because I have been on a plateau for the past month basically, so it may take me a bit to get out of it, plus that is very close to my current end goal, but I shall definitely try my hardest to get there.

Goal (revised): 148 (wow..I don't think I've seen the 140's since I was a pre-teen :-D) 

I started taking this seriously in the middle of last week so I already have a little loss, woo hoo! (I was 165.8 last week, giving me a loss of 1.4 So I guess 164.4 will be my official starting weight and 148 be my official 10%.  

mlj83081:  My biggest secret is snacking all the time.  I tend to get very hungry when I cut my calories so I prepare snack bags at home that I can take with me when I'm at school.  (Whole wheat cereal, a couple of nuts, dried fuits, cut up carrots, berries).  When I'm at home and can control the times I eat, I try to have little meals.  I cut my lunch in half if I can and eat one half early, and the other half later.  I also try to avoid eating my dinner too late at night.  Good luck :)

I think my biggest secret is not eating after 6pm. That, and I always plan my meals the day before and calculate all the calories. I think this is going to be a great challenge! Good luck everyone.

I have two secrets:

1. Soup. Filling and usually the lowest cal thing on the menu.

2. Parmesan cheese. Turns a plate full of steamed veggies into something that tastes like dinner for about 20-30 cals, depending on how much you dump on there.

Oh, and my other one, but I rave and rant about this all the time:

The biggest secret of all:

PATIENCE.

You're going to have downs (hooray!) AND ups (ugh.) You DON'T get to quit, though, when your weight bounces up for a while. You haven't failed -- it's just a trick! Salt, hangovers, ladytime -- lots of things make it look like your progress is gone when it's just hiding. Hang in there and keep plugging.

We have the same weight/goal! haha...nice.

So yeah, first week I am 164 with a goal of 148. 

I am doing the 12 exercise program from this site, taking vitamin B to promote a good metabolism, and a free trial of acai berries (well...just in case) . I'm also really tracking my daily intake of fat and carbs as well as calories just to cover all my bases. 

I have big hopes for this thing! Good luck everyone!

Mini Challenge:

Tell us first what you do for excercise at the moment and how long you have been doing it. If you haven't started any excercise that's okay.

Then I want everyone to make a committment throughout this challenge with some type of excercise it can be as little as a 30 minute walk once a week if you haven't excercised before. You will report how you did with the weekly weigh in on Mondays!

I was going to have everyone sign up for atleast a 5K but now that the weather is getting cold I don't think there will be any depending on where you live.

 

Okay so my goal is to get to the gym 5 days a week and lift for 2 or 3 of those days. (that is for this entire challenge) This is my normal plan but I have been slacking badly the past month and I need something to hold me accountable so if I have to report what I have done hopefully it will make me more motivated to go! So I guess this mini challenge is a little selfish but I hope it helps you guys just as much!
