That I cant believe its not butter spray may say 0 calories but trust me, if you are using a lot of it you are getting calories. Popcorn is a good healthy low cal food but you need lots of other things in your diet like protein and fruits and vegetables.

The butter spray states that it contains 0 calories per serving but for 25 sprays, it contains 20 calories and 2 grams of fat. It's best to avoid using it too much.
I find that the Jolly Time kettle corn 100 calorie bags do it for me. If I drink a glass of water with it, it kills my snack craving and is pretty filling.
Yeah, I use the Smart Pop 100 calorie bags. They have a butter flavour and pretty much taste like any other microwave popcorn. Nutrition wise... they don't have very much nutritional value to them. Its low cal if thats what you care about but youre not going to get a very significant source of anything out of it.
Personally I try to eat it only once or twice a week.
I don't do popcorn (except on special occasions) because it's high glycemic (along with pretzles and rice cakes). It zaps my energy and makes me crave other foods.
I say popcorn is a great snack.  I also go for the 100 calorie bags.  It's a good sized portion - very filling.

Popcorn does have some nutritional value - it has quite a lot of fibre.
You might try Smart Pop Kettle Corn.  I think it tastes great without adding anything to it.  :)
I do the orville 94% fat free kettle corn, and love it! But the calories I count for that is 260 for a full bag. I eat it regularly and have had no adverse effects in the weight loss do to it.
I just discovered a way to make sure I only eat one serving of popcorn from a normal sized bag - burn it slightly!

I've tried every brand of microwave and finally gave up in despair and now pop my own on the stovetop.  They were all loaded with chemicals and fake-flavored or overly bland and the oils used were disgustingly bad for you.  I now have control of portions (I use a scale), sodium (salt lightly) and quality of oil.

I use a good quality canola because it's good for you.  I can't find calories for unpopped popcorn (just kernels) so I just use the grams for cornmeal.  Gotta be about the same.  It's just corn.

Good oil is good for you!  Your skin will start to look like an old hag if you don't have enough of the good stuff:  olive and canola.  And take fish oil as a supplement so you don't crave oils.  I sure used to.

I use Smart Balance Low Sodium/Fat popcorn. It really is good, and has 2 grams of fat, and 85mg of sodium for 120 calories a bag. You should try it, to me it tastes better than the other microwave popcorns.

Kriccie, take another look - carefully - at the nutritional info on the can. Most products of this sort (I know Pam cooking spray does) make note of this kind of thing in the "fine print" disclaimer. More info about the product can surely be found at the ICBINB website.
What about Jiffy Pop 94% free?
It's 250 or so cals per bag and can substitute an entire meal for me when it comes to appetite.
