Perfect/Ideal Body - your thoughts?
hey all
just thought i would make a post and just ask everyone (girls and guys) what they think the ideal female and male bodies look like, use celebrities as examples if u wish or just describe it, kinda a way to give everyone an idea of wat everyone else thinks is good looking so we can all(lol or in my case) see that its actually not only ppl who are incrdiably unhealthily skinny that are the trully pretty ones(but if that IS how u feel then post away) I kinda feel like i've totally confused u now reading back on wat i just wrote so if u can deciffer it please post!
oh yes id have to say wat to me seems ideal would be like Kirsten Dunsty and male body would be probably jonny depp or jude law, lol. but for guys i would actually have to say though not to built up or toned, kinda like Toby Maguire in Spiderman, sorta kinda average, and girls in my opinion always look best when they look healthy and u can see that they truly like how they are, cause it really shows and it seems if u like u then others do to, lol.
well folks now its your turn so post away....

i'd like to think there's no such thing. i think a beautiful smile can make anyone beautiful, and inner beauty counts more than external appearance. i know that's not the answer you're looking for, but i just have to say that. the most beautiful people i know are not movie-star kind of beautiful, but beautiful in spirit, and loving and kind and caring. i am speaking for all of us who never have been called beautiful, or cute, or anything like that. i know i can't be the only one.
The perfect body contains a beautiful, peaceful, giving, joyful, and creative spirit. the container doesn't matter at all.
I don't agree that the container doesn't matter at all...I think we all strive to look our best, and when we look our best, we usually feel our best. Thats just human nature. I don't mean to say thats ALL that matters, but the way you look does affect your demeanor and attitude. When I have a gigantic zit, i tend to feel very self concious, and don't go out of my way to meet new people, speak up in meetings, etc. The week before my period, I feel fat as hell, and that makes me crabby(along with hormones!LOL) and gets me down because I feel like I bust my butt to look and feel good, and this lousy time of the month comes and it doesn't matter what I do, I still feel crappy. so yes I do think the way you look matters to an extent. My idea of a perfect body??? Hmmmmmm...maybe halle berry, shes fit, toned, but not so skinny that it makes me hurt to look at her, she still looks like a girl!!!
whoops, I forgot about BOYS! My idea of a perfect mans body is LL Cool J, I met him at the airport once, and he gave me a hug, and my knees still get weak thinking about it!!! Yum!!!
mizz- people strive to look their best, however, there are some of us out here who will never be super model beautiful.. no matter how much weight we lose.. no matter what we do.. we will never be classified as beautiful.. and yes.. i'm one of the ones who agree with elin and claire.. it's what's inside that counts.. these movie stars and models people strive to look like and be might be shallow and vain.. we don't know.. i, for one, would much rather people like me for who i am rather than what i look like..
frankly, i wouldn't try to look like anyone else but me.. because to do so would be pointless

It seems that I have come across as though I mean that the outside is what counts. That is NOT what I am saying... I too agree that the inside is what matters, I'm merely pointing out that we ALL wish to look our best. Your best and my best may be polar opposites, your ideal may not be my ideal, thats for us to decide individually, regardless of whether or not I am "super model beautiful" (trust me sister, I'm not!) I still have days where I look in the mirror and think "not so bad today!" and that makes me feel good. I may act more confident, smile more, and generally have a better day. If thats shallow or vain, I guess I have no option other than to accept that label, because thats truly how I feel.
i know what you mean.. but i've been ugly my whole life and i've had to rely on my personality.. and when people say that they want to look like **insert famous person's name here** it upsets me because... you can't.. no one can look other than the way their meant to look.. and it's easier to accept that truth than to wish about what they can't have.. does that make sense?
also, i just wanted to say again.. that the most beautiful person, in my opinion, is someone who is giving, thoughtful, honest, and nice.. to me there is nothing more beautiful than that..

There is nothing more beautiful than what is in your heart, we are all beautiful in our own way!!!!!! &nb sp; &nb sp;
People often say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ; Salma Hayek &nbs p; & nbsp; &nbs p; & nbsp; &nbs p; & nbsp;

I think plenty of celebrities have amazing bodies. I never prefer the stick-thin ones, though. I also don't think there is an ideal body persay, but there are definitely celebs that have amazing bodies. Like Kate Winslet. She's the one that comes to mind first.
Lyndsay Lohan, at her weight peak. LIke she was in Mean Girls. She's got a fantastic figure.
I have a huuuuuuge crush on Jack Black.
But then, I also wouldn't mind spending some time with Johnny Depp or Dane Cook.
We all know that it's what's on the inside that counts, but sometimes it's just fun to compare what we all find attractive on a purely physical/media-shaped-shallow-personality level. In real life, I find that looks matter very little in who I'm attracted to... what matters is whether or not he plays the guitar!!! ; )
As for women... I don't know. I'm usually more interested in seeking out a celebrity with a remotely similar body type, to see what having my own personal trainer, chef, nutritionist, and stylist could do for me. That's Jena Malone for me.

Listen people. If we have tons of money in our pockets and I mean tons of money, we could look like the star to. They work there asses off about 10 hrs a day doing cardio and toning and whatnot. They do it for movies, publicity, etc. One month they will be the fattest person for a show and then 3 months after that they have lost 50 lbs within that time. Is that healthy? I think not!!! If we had the money we could afford a personal trainer to come to our house and workout with us 10 hrs a day. If we had a money we could hire a nanny full time to take care of our kids,we would hire a maid to clean our clothes and toilet, we would hire a butler to drive us to places. And then this would mean we would have time to workout all the time. Now with this, we wont be able to have family time, aone time, ete. I dont want that.
So with all that, I really dont think any celeb has one ideal body. I think they look gorgeous but not at the extremes they go to to change their body like that all the time. I like me for me and I like my body because it's mine and no one else has it. :)

I have to say that no one has "the IDEAL body" - there are alot of good looking people, celebrities and not, but I don't think there's an ideal body..
I think the ideal body is truly what you could look like at your best, with the understanding that that changes with time. :)
In my ideal body, I may still have a big nose, and glasses, but I will be thin and fit and muscular and, thus, totally hot ;)

Well if you asked my hubby he would say I have the ideal body, all 198.5 lbs of me.LOL He thinks I'm sexy no matter what my weight is,now that is unconditional love. He tells me several times a day that I'm sexy and beautiful, I know I hit the jackpot with him!
There is no Ideal Body, beauty is different things to different people. If there was an Ideal body type then there would be alot of lonely people out there that didn't fit into the mold. Just like some people go for people with blonde hair while others prefer red heads and why some guys like big butts while others prefer a bigger bust etc... Me for example, I'm attracted to men with darked complexions,my hubby is part native while others prefer lighter skin.

Most celebrity women are so thin now, I don't think any of them have "ideal" bodies.
But two actors that come to mind for their shape OTTOMH are Salma Hayek and Jake Glyllenhal.
I think the ideal body for would have 20 pounds of additional muscle, with the same level of body fat as I currently have.
That's what I'm shooting for at least.

I agree with what almost everyone has said - there is no "ideal". Everyone's definition of what is beautiful is so different.
Having said that... if I saw Brad Pitt (the way he looked in Fight Club) walking down the street shirtless I'd probably trip over myself. As for the female "celebs", I'd agree with secret_squirrel - Salma Hayek looks amazing!

I think everyone is misunderstanding what tashals was meaning when she posted this. She never referred to anyone celebrity's face... she said "body". And some celebrities aren't insanely thin.
I think the celebrity who's body I would love to have would be a Sandra Bullock/Halle Berry type figure. Sandra Bullock looked amazing in Miss Congeniality. She's not overly thin but she was toned and looked great. That being said, I know that isn't achievable for me so it doesn't matter much.
