Perfect male body?

Quote  |  Reply
Well, with the changing way men are shown in ads and media (compared to even 20 years ago), I'm curious what everyones opinion of the perfect male body is.

Is it the huge weightlifter? The skinny hairless model? The toned, but not muscular male? Or maybe the undefined sophisticated man? Or is it like the bodies of greek statues?

So, find a picture of what you think the ideal male body is and post it here! I think it would be interesting to see what people think (and be able to actually look at examples).

For me that doesn't exist. The way a man cares for his own body type is what can make him sexy. There is no perfect cutout in my opinion. Wink
I know there are lots of other things that come into play (such as personality, habbits, values...and all the other things)... but for this, I only mean the body itself (not even talking about the face or look or those aspects).

Maybe you have a range of things you like... but there is at least one you see as better then others (for example, jabba the hutt probably isnt what you would think of as an ideal male body :P )
In keeping with my theory that there is no perfect body type...I will assert that I am most attracted to this type. LOLTongue out
The skinny hairless model, definitely.
I think shill is correct -- the right personality can cover a wide range of body shape/size "sins" and make them almost irrelevant (jabba the hut lacks the personality I require/desire Laughing)  So, given that I don't want to be judged for my body, either ... I am most likely to gaze after a toned, but not overly muscular body w/broad shoulders
Aww, then I'm out of luck - the overly muscled look is what I'm going for :P

Doesn't mean I'll get there of course, but half the fun is in the trying :)
Well, I do also agree with Shill; I don't have an idea of a "perfect" guy, as I may find somebody attractive that I might not have before. Besides that, physical appearance isn't everything- I'm not going to ignore a guy because he has a trait I don't find attractive.

That said, I'll attempt to answer your question; in general, I tend to like lean, athletic guys- skinny and with definite muscle tone, but not a huge scary bodybuilder with biceps bigger than my head. If at all possible, I'd definitely want this guy to have a flat stomach, as that's something I'll never be able to fully get. XP

EDIT: Shill also has my reason for not liking huge bodybuilder; I have a small build as well.

I think bodybuilders and very muscular guys are hot too. I watched the movie 300 about 50 times and I still break a sweat during it. Embarassed I think I am atracted to a smaller framed lean and muscular guy because it fits with my body size better. I am 5'4" and 113, I would be consumed by just a hug from some of the big bodybuilders. Plus, while the veiny thing is key to show in competition; I don't find it an attractive quality. LOL. I have dated one or two though and I found them verrry attractive. Shew...it's warm in here! lol

Slim but toned, also not a big fan of overly muscled (I think it's the implication of the time they spend focused on themselves more than the way it looks, but also not interested in someone who could crush my head in his fist).  Nicely defined (but not giant) arms are my weakness~!

I am going for the lean, toned look...because that is what I think will work for my body type. I know I will never be able to bench press 200 pounds and that is definitely not my goal. If I can achieve that lean physique then I will feel like I have achieved the "perfect male body"...for my body type only, of course.
in an idea world, slim and toned. but i agree with other posters, its the guy that matters. I used to have a b/f that was very very muscular, and I thought the world of him. So it just depends.

So Lorik -- did you get the answers you wanted?

I think most "girls" believe that looks don't count in the end -- there has to be more.  And although we may have a "type", I don't think any of us would restrict ourselves to that type (gawd, what a waste that would be).

Edit:  Forgot a picture -- he's a little to big to be the "perfect" type but he'd do in a pinch Laughing -- Lenny Krazelburg

Some guys look great slim and hairless... but some look great muscle-y and scruffy. All depends on the guy.

I guess my prefered is a flat stomach, bit of a 6-pack, some arm muscle but not huge, I do like the hairless though, I'll admit. and some salt and pepper greying hair (starts drooling over dream man).

But, obviously thats not all that counts. my guy has a bit of arm muscle and the greying hair... but thats it. But a good sense of humor, compassion and great pateince? Wow, does he ever.
True coack K; so many boys, so little time!Wink
As far as a type, Ive always been attracted to those my girlfriends would say are way too skinny.  No muscles on chest or stomach but on arms.   Im the only female I know turned off by chest and stomach muscles.  I think its my aversion to metrosexuals (before it was a word).  Course thats just chemistry, physical attractions stopped being high priority when I was young.

Being attracted to really thin guys wasnt as hypocritical of me when I was younger and thin.
