It seems that I've gotten my period for the first time since May. I am absolutely ecstatic about it and keep checking just to make sure it doesn't stop! I feel like a 12 year old again. At any rate, it is nowhere near as heavy as my period were pre-ed. I assumed that my period would be extra heavy since it hasn't happened in so long but it isn't enough to completely soak through a regular tampon in 3 hours before I change it. Has anyone else experienced this with a returned period?
yes, i did... but the light periods didn't last, unfortunately. *sigh* oh, for our health. no, my period was pretty light at first but now it's normalized... almost. i went through a phase where it was like when i first starting getting it and it was beyond the normal capacity of heavy.
hopefully that doesn't happen to you.
congrats on getting it back, dubsmom! it's a pain to deal with, but the best sign that everything is working properly in your body.
Yup! i lost my period for like 3-4 months and then when it came back it was crazy light. i got mine back in June, and since then its been getting better. but very irregular.
i visited my doc recently for irregularness, and i'm on BC now, but i've just started so who knows if it'll be heavier or lighter etc etc.
i say just wait and see before getting worried, lots of women have different flow.
Thanks guys! I'm still so excited to have a period again I hadn't even thought to be worried about it, just curious. Now I'll have to look forward to the heavy flow and bloating in the future. I wonder if mind will be irregular too.
Is irregularity bad for anything except fertility? I know we absolutely need to have our periods for our health but is having them unpredictably bad?
What changes did you have to make for your period to come back and how long did it take?
