5'7.5" now... but back then yes I was 5'4" and then 5'5" because I was still growing. At 26 now I sure as heck think I'm done lol!
i actually think i grew .25 of an inch in the past 1/2 yr.
im guessing ur not looking to gain to a bmi of 20?
Oh congratulations! Im so happy for you!![]()
Sweeties_Bee - Congratulations on getting your period back :)
Arguskin & bsh0611 - I had to get to a bmi of 21 and cut out nearly all exercise to get my period back after not having it for nearly 2 years.
thank you everyone a lot!
keep working on it everyone!!
XXSARAH-hi! wow, super motivating+congrats!! i figure a bmi of 20 wont cut it, i lost mine at around that point bc of excercise+not eating enough. what is ur routine like now? how old r u?
Arguskin: I also lost mine at a "normal" bmi of about 19.5 and never really was too underweight think about bmi18 at the lowest but I did alot of intense exercise and had a lot of muscle mass and not much body fat.
While trying to get my period to return I ate to gain and cut way down on exercise, 45mins 3 times a week of light - moderate exercise. I am completly sedentary in my daily life and job.
My period has been back since july but my cycles are a little longer than normal, usually 50+ days but each cycle seems to be getting a little shorter. At the moment im try to concieve so I have cut out all exercise other than some short walks and yoga. Oh and Im 24!
XXSARAH-wow, u were more active than i am i think! im doing 20 mins 5-6/wk, well i guess it comes out to the same amount maybe...i also am sedentary during the day and have a complete desk job. i am eating to gain tho.
i heard it takes a bit of time for the cycle to return in a normal pattern. so ur sedentary now? after it returned and b4 u started to try and concieve (congrats) were u active? eating 2000ish?
Congrats and I hope you continue to have better health
I suppose the previous weight and the natural BMI of the person is really important. Its probably the most important factor which determine the minimum threshold for menstruation for each person. Moreover the bone structure and muscles differ from one person to another. I wish everyone best of luck and keep the motivation going....its never too late for anything in life.....
@sarahquinn best of luck to you! i'm hoping to be a mother in the future too (just not now....need to find a husband a reach the right age first....and finish this degree.....hahaha so much to do!)....hopefully i have not ruin that chance in my life yet b/c of ED!!! i'm so excited for you....
