Ok so I need some advice.... I can always tell when i get my period when i start to feel hungry ALL the time!!! I can't ever seem to feel full no matter how hard i try to stick to my eating schedule.....IM STILL HUNGRY!!!!!!! Take tonight for instance...for dinner i had 3 pizza pieces and a bowl of cereal...AND IM STILL HUNGRY!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!
I experience the same thing. I've added an extra 100 calories to each of my 3 meals during the week before my period. BUT I make those extra calories fruit or vegetables. IF I stick to it it works wonders. The trick is sticking to it! My biggest problem is craving fatty foods during TTOM.

Yeah, I get hungry too. I just deal with it, but I think striped tiger's approach is better!
I know... Those days, my fridge door swings open every few minutes. I usually stay within my cal range but, sometimes I go a little over. I guess if you have to eat a bunch, just have lots of fruit around or maybe healthy cereal.
I get the same thing, my stomach feels almost acidy. I take a tums first. Calcium in it and I m lactose intolerant so its something I need. If I still feel hungry then I will eat something. Sometimes all it takes is a piece of chocolate. I wonder if maybe when you get your period your body is using more calories? It would be nice to know something good comes out of it! :P
Ive read that you can burn up to 300 extra cal a day on TOM!
Ugh, I have the same issue (yeah, I'm no help here). Today I did well until it hit 6pm, I wasn't at home, and was running out of energy after waking up at 5am and being in school all day. I also had this ever-so-convienient coupon for a cold drink at starbucks... $2 less in my pocket, 700 calories more of chocolatey goodness in my stomach, plus a 6 inch battered roll sub with mayo (pre made) from the grocery store, plus a couple cups of wheat pasta and sauce after getting home. Yeah, today was definitely a day of calories I had to just look at and chock up to my TOM.
I get noticeably hungrier (like... way hungrier) for two weeks out of the month, pms week and period week. It sucks. Always ruins my routine. I think I just need to have stronger willpower and eat more protein.

No wonder they say it's a curse...it's funny to the fact that men have it so easy...even losing weight! But as women we have so much more stacked against us but we usually determine how beautiful and happy we are with ourselves by how much we weight or what size we wear! It's like we are expected to be skinny with big boobs and a big butt... and yet for most that is the first place we lose weight! I think there needs to be some kind of meeting...we are only HUMAN!!!!!!
