period weight gain?

i know its normal to gain weight during your period but is it normal to gain weight 2-3 days before you get it?

When I had my period (I'm pregnant now, so I haven't had it in a few months now, lol), I would always gain about 2-3lbs a day or two before I got my period. A  couple of days after it started, the 2-3lb gain would go away, so yeah, I would say it's pretty normal for some women.

In fact, that's pretty much how I knew I wasn't pregnant each month--I would hit the 2-3lb bloat and know I was going to get my period. It made getting my period not so much of a suprise, since the weight gain would always prepare me for it. =)

thanks so much. i lost my period back in february due to exercising and restricting my calories and i just got it this morning...but when i had it before i never really noticed that i gained weight around it. maybe it takes a few years before yo u start gaining weight from it, i don't know but thanks again.
