perspective....perception

In 1999 I weighed 145...my measurements were 36/25/38.  I thought I was a chubby pear and I often hid myself in loose, dark clothing.  I thought I was fat.

Now, 9 years, 2 kids later I weigh.......228!  measurements are (i just took them in the bathroom here at work) 42.5/38/51

just had to put that out there....

I know the feeling. In 1999 I was a 8/10 140lbs. Now I'm a size 14/16 179lbs. I'm only 5'4" so I'm not very tall to weigh so much. My hope is to be more aware. That's all. Otherwise the pressure of the diet is too much. This is a marathon not a race. My hope is by being more aware, I will drop some weight.  If feels better to say I'm just trying to be more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. It's helping.

..it's funny what a few years and a mind set will do.

I wish you luck in your journey.  I hope you are able to achieve the look and level of fitness you want.

I had almost the same size increase as you, Zinniah, and roughly the same perceptions.  I thought I was large back then, and wouldn't dream of wearing anything very revealing.

Now I would love to be that size!  I'm working my way there, but it's awfully slow going...

I feel the same way!! I have been cleaning out old photos and what I would give to go back to even 4 years ago. On the other hand, I look at those photos and tell myself that they show the real me and I owe it to myself to look like that again. I am determined to leave this size 18 behind and return to the 10-12 I always was!!

Let's inspire each other to really do it!
