Pesto Pasta Recipe
A great Italian-inspired recipe. Serve with polenta if desired.
| 1 | cup basil, loosely packed |
| 3 | tbsp extra virgin olive oil |
| 1 | tbsp lemon juice |
| 1 | clove garlic , crushed |
| 2 | tbsp pine nuts |
| 8 | oz whole wheat pasta |
- Prepare pasta as directed. Drain and return to pot.
- Combine basil, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and pine nuts in blender or food processor. Blend until ingredients form a paste.
- Add pesto to drained pasta; stir to combine.
