sedona is lying in the bathroom on the cool tile.  i don't think she is asleep, but she likes to lay in there.
The two dogs are on the back of the couch, sleeping on their pillows. The snake is in his tank curled up in his swimming pool.
I have four dogs sleeping... a little one (Pebbles) beside the computer cabinet with her head stuck under the door.  A parrot, Risa, loving on her toy.  Oh, that sounds bad....
8 opossums (shall I name them all?), sleeping, waiting until we turn out the lights to get up and play.  ~yes, I said opossums... I am a rehabber.~  4 are nonreleasable, 4 will be released soon...
My dog is chasing a cricket in the kitchen
Giving me kisses.  I love love  love love love my little Rat Terrier.
Rosa Miya Chan (the rehabilitated feral) didn't get up to eat yet, so she's laying on the couch, pretending to ignore me...Will (the black one) is laying on my bed, enjoying a moment of peace, no doubt...Stormy (The Boobinator) was doing "perimeter patrol" in the garage until I disturbed her to find out what she was doing; now she's eating again.  That's the cats...

But outside..ah...the crickets are chirping their enjoyment of the summer warm evening (sounds like they're syncopated -- is there a cricket conductor waving a wand?).  In the darkening evening the distant crows find one another with calls to roost.

Just enough breeze to occassionally sound the wind chimes.  It's beautiful out...

I love them all.
All of my windows are open to catch the breeze and the crickets are chirping away.
my dog is a pug , franks his name...you can see him in my pics but  anyhow my brother is camping out in the backyard with some friends so frank is just staring out the back door barking every time he sees movement in the tents....its gonna be long night
My cat Marie is laying on a really big pillow (when she's not supposed to lol but I don't mind).
Hershey, the top cat in our "pride", keeps trying to sneak to a glass that had milk in it so he can stick his paw in and lick the milk off!
All six cats are chasing each other up and down the stairs, over and over again... we'll be adding to the herd in September, so I imagine it is going to be even more thunderous...
Just six for now, eh?  How many are you going to add?
lol
jessicarm: One more... for now.
hehehe.... it's always just one more.... that's how we reached nine... :P
Rebecca has woke up and is now giving me a bath.
I have to wonder if she is cleaning me to get a good bite.
jessicarm:

Yes, that's what we say, too, LOL... we just can't resist being pulled into the kitten vortex...

For us, the law states we can have no more than 10, but I've been told that law has changed *grin*
wow!  Where do you live?  I have never heard of a law like that!!  If there are any animal laws like that here, I would be in big trouble.....  we have... let me count.... 25!!!  Wow.  I sound insane!
Mine are all in the house.

San Antonio, TX.

As I said, though, the law has changed some. They are trying to pass laws where people can take care of colonies of feral/wild/abandoned cats; things like that. They're trying to make the City Pound no-kill, which is a very cool idea, so they're trying to pass laws that help the animals survive and are more responsible pet owner friendly.

Here, we have a lot of cat collectors... people who collect because they have a problem, not because they care... I believe that is who the laws are/were intended...
