Pet Peeves

What are your pet peeves?

-People who write checks in line at a check out and don't get it started while they're waiting so they take forever.

-Going to a retail store and trying to find someone who knows what they're talking about when I question them about a product i'm interested in purchasing.

 - People who drive and look at the "scenery" at the same time... dammit just drive!

- people who chew with their mouths open... and its gross

- people who dont know what size they wear...   just because it comes in your size, doesnt mean you can wear it

and I have to agree with guera's second one... I hate going somewhere and asking questions and the employee either bullshit their way through it, or just not know anything.  Its fine if you dont know, but could you get me someone who DOES know???

Drivers that leave their blinkers on....how can you not tell it's on?!  It's beeping at you for crying out loud!

stupid people who call my job and don't know where they are calling!

stupid people who call my job and refuse to leave a message for the person they are calling even though they are out and they are nowhere to be found!

stupid people in general! LOL

Agreed with everyone.

How about the people who feel the need to cause a scene in public?  THe guy who always has to yell at the waitress or cashier just to make a frickin' scene.  Get over yourself, asshole.

Oh God I hate that sometimes my fiance is that asshole and I just wanna duck under the table! Well, he's never makes a scene but sometimes he makes loud rude remarks to himself!

lilbory - how about the people who call and call and call and call, over and over and its for the same person but STILL wont leave a message.. they just keep trying to catch them!  STUPID!

guera - it only makes the asshole look like the idiot.. not the server.  AND, it actually  helps your tips.. because other tables feel sorry for you, that you had to put up with him..

-People who complain about everything and do nothing.

-Guys that put their boat tie downs on and organize their stuff while still on the boat launch ramp, instead of pulling it up the hill first and doing that stuff in the parking area, like they are supposed to! 

-And all things mentined above!

Oh I got one from when I used to work retail! How about people that came in the store 5 min before closing try damn near everything on and leave the store 30 min laterwith NOTHING!! I mean I wanna go home for Goodness sake! I have a life too!

thank GOD I dont work in retail.. although, job #2, waiting tables is sometimes almost as bad...

1) People who don't follow city ordanances and:

• park on the front lawn
• let their dogs bark 24/7
• put their dumpsters out early and leave them out for a week after trash day
  

2) People who don't pick up trash around their yards

3) People who complain and do nothing (as Dave said)

3a) People who don't tell the front desk at the gym that the paper towels, disinfectant, or toilet tissue is out (and *itch about it) -- how the Hell are they supposed to know if you don't tell them. What? Are you scared? It's their JOB.

4) People who don't fix things that are broken and/or that start a project and leave it unfinised forever

5) People that say they will call and don't (ANYBODY, not just dates)

6) People who claim their children as their "best friends." MOST RIDICULOUS thing I have EVER heard. Be a PARENT not a friend!

7) People that type in all caps.

*** Whenever I see one of these "peeve" posts I always want to say we should look at ourselves and think about what WE do that's wrong or annoying. Why not try to change it (only if it's truly significant though -- driving and looking at scenery isn't so bad. lol).

*People getting off an elevator or escalator, and then just stand there just outside the entrance blocking everything - Oh, no...there's nobody else waiting to get out...you're the only person here!!!

*Walking through the mall on an errand, not very much time, and the stupid Dead Sea Spa people come out from their Kiosk to assault you and do your nails.  If I wanted my nails done, I would ask you....

*Standing in line at a food service place (recent episode: Subway), and people stand there looking at the menu for 5 freakin' minutes and then ask the sandwich maker what's on a BMT.  READ THE FREAKIN' MENU!!!!

*Grocery stores that, upon when you discover one thing you really like and buy on a regular basis, will discontinue said item.  Not because it's not available, just because they wanted shelf space for a more expensive less healthy item.  ARGHHH!

I'm sure there are others - but those are my recent ones.

santonacci the subway one is so true! Especially when you only have 30 min lunch!!

No seriously, we all have our little quirks, some things you do probably piss alot of people off too - you can't please everybody all the time. Sooo, to avoid too much unneeded stress in your day: don't let silly little things bother you!

30 minute lunch? what in the world can you do in 30 minutes??? I wouldnt know what to do without my hour
