PETA Urges Ben & Jerry's To Use Human Milk--Eww?

Quote  |  Reply
I thought this was kind of funny, and slightly gross.  Specifically, the PETA letter directed to Ben & Jerry's, but that could just be my sense of humor.  Thoughts?

as a vegan i agree with peta on SELECT issues... but that is just insane.

I wonder how much that would drive up the price?

well, it would depend, mooni.  provided that they could mechanize the process, house the lactating humans in state-of-the art, high-density dairy barns, and streamline the reproductory process, it shouldn't be out of reach.

Maybe they could sign up all those welfare mothers who pop out babies constantly. Pay them under the table so they can keep their government benefits.

pfft, human dairy wouldnt be as great as it first sounds... artificial insemination ruins all the fun :(

Wow. Next they will be telling us to eat each other for meat. Cannibalism?

My dad was a dairy farmer, I am sure a barn full of cranky, hormonal women would have made him switch careers in a big hurry....

Obviously, they won’t make any chances to their currently formula (haha!).  Granted, I am dieting and have stayed away from B&J’s ice cream, and have for some time, but I don’t think I can look at B&J’s ice cream without thinking of some stranger’s milk production.  So sad.

I think I just threw up in my mouth...

I wonder if I can take hormones and make milk
^ Eww? :)
Boobs, is there anything they can't do?

 LOL! Priceless.

Wow.

At least PETA is always good for a laugh.

I heard this on the radio this morning.... ad it's so ridiculous! It's gross .... would it even be safe?  What if the woman had a disease or something?  I donno... that's just gross.

They said that there is a company that is going to use human breast milk for 75 percent (or something like that) of its ice cream too.  I see bankruptcy in their future!

Ewww. ICK!

I guess it's ok the milk a human dry as long as we're not touching the precious cows...

We have a very odd attitude to breastmilk I feel. We're fine with drinking plenty of other animals breastmilk but not our own. It does seem bizaare. I don't know why we think human milk is dirty?

Ok, PETA has gone off their rockers. Although, you think about it when we are babies that is what we live on, but as soon as we get older we find it immensly gross. Isn't it kind of weird?

I don't even know if PETA is serious with this. Maybe they just don't like the idea of cows being drained so they sent this letter as a sarcastic note. To milk humans instead of cows. Who knows.

But yeah, definitely going to lose business if this ever happens..icky icky poo poo. At least my ice cream obsession would fade out. lmao.

What's next? Human egg omelets? (eeeewwww- I grossed myself out)

mmmmmm stemcells for breakfast ;)

Since inquiring minds always want to know, I went and found the text of the letter send to B and J's.  The letter mentioned a specific restaurant in Switzerland that was planning on using human breast milk on the menu, which plans have now been scrapped.

So far, my appetite has not been whetted.
