Hi Alennar.  This is the work out that the Personal Trainer at my gym told me I should be doing.  He suggested that I try to do it at least 3 times a week.   Obviously you need to gage your own weight settings.

Start with 5 mins on the cross trainer (level 5) to warm up.

2 x 15 reps on the squat machine at 80 lbs

2 x 15 reps on the upper back machine at 15 kg

2 x 15 reps on the chest press machine at 15 kg

2 x 15 reps on the lat pull-down machine at 25 kg

2 x 15 reps on lat raises with 3 kg in each hand

10 minutes doing intervals on the running machine - lower level at 4.3 upper level at 6.6

and finally, 2000 metres on the rowing machine record your time and try to beat it the next time.

Hope it helps.

Hey guys! I'd love to join a petite group! I really like how this group has a big mix of weight goals/starting weights...it's fun to have variety!

I'm 20, 5'2 and currently 125 pounds, down from 150 (highest weight 155ish). I'm looking to drop to 120ish but mostly to tone and tighten up.

Hi,

I am 5'2" and right now 128lbs,, down from 152lbs.  My original goal weight was 130lb but now I am going to try to get to 125lb.  I use free weights and count calories which has been working well for me.  I also cut out pop and sweets thou I do have a cookie or York Peppermint patty from time to time. Laughing

Hi Anitasw!  Im sure glad to know someone really understands my weight-woes! :-)

By the way all, I really like the tools that this site provides.  I've entered my daily food intake daily and it gives me a grade! In the words of my 22y/o  son, it is "Uber-cool "! ha-ha.

Losing weight used to be a lot easier when I was younger, but I cannot give up.  Had a Bronchitis spout this week, the medication really messes up my system.  Back to the drawing board with a different color! :-) gotta stay positive and keep the faith.  On that note, if I manage to win this weight-war, I am taking myself to the George Michael Concert when he visits Miami in August! (how's that for a motivation!)

Have a great evening all.  Weigh-in on Friday!

OK, looks like I'm the first to log my Friday weigh-in.  I think we should also add our "confessions" so we can see why we maybe didn't do quite as well as we would have liked, and our "glories" when we were really great!

Starting weight: 126 lbs

Goal weight: 104 lbs (gone down due to the fact that I'm now 5 foot 1 inch and not the 5 foot 3 I always thought I was.)

Current weight: 123.8 lbs

Confessions: Had a bit of a "cheese moment" a couple of days ago and drank wine and ate crisps (that chips to you American folk) last night.

Glories: Been to the gym 3 times this week.

Hi from another newbie in the UK! I'm 5' 2", Starting weight - 139 lbs (9 stone 13 lbs)

Current weight - 136 lbs (9 stone 10 lbs)

Goal weight - anything below 112 lbs (8 stone) Where I used to be a couple of years ago & a lot happier than I am now!

I DROPPED OFF THE PLATEAU! I have been stuck at 127.4 for about 2 months. Walk or work out everyday for at least 40 minutes- most day’s 60- 90 minutes. I have cut my calories and log food and activities every day. Still 5'1" this morning weighed in at 125.4 woo hoo. I have two family weddings in June. The first is June 14th. I hope to be close to 122! And the second is the 28th I am working to be at 118. I know I loose slow, 47 years old & pari menopausal.

Starting with my BRI -I have started calculating on my own spreadsheet how many calories I eat on average weekly - I am analyzing my protein, fat and carbs, trying to get higher percentages in protein. At least 30% of my intake.  I calculate how many average calories I burn weekly. Data showed, I should have lost 1.4 lbs since last weigh in.  I must have had some in the bank I didn't know about, cuz the loss was. a full 2 lbs!!Watch the sodium!!

Is it too late for me to join in? I didn't see the post until today. I am 4'8" and currently 125. When I started loosing weight I was 137.5. I am working toward my ideal weight of 96lbs.

Loosing weight for us shorties is quite a challenge and just 25 lbs is the difference between being obese and normal weight! But, I met another lady on this site that has lost to 99.6 starting somewhere at 114 and she's just an inch or so taller than I so I know its not impossible...just darned near impossible for us!

I am hanging in there though...I am happy to be down 12.5 lbs since the beginning even though that has taken 9.5 months at least it is down rather than up!

Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 129.2 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs

Glories: Exercised on Gazelle 2 times this week.

Confession: Couldnt stay away from having Cuban "Cafe con Leche" and "real" sugar!!!!

I am really enjoying this forum and Caloriecount tools and website. Thanks!

Friday 6/6/08 WI:

Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 127.6 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs

Glories: Exercised on Gazelle 6 times this week. I am up to 45 minutes.

Confession:  yesterday just had to have chocolate peanut clusters....

How is everyone else doing?

Starting Weight: 150 lbs

Last Week's Weight: 125.0 lbs

Current Weight: 124.0 lbs (This always fluctuates like crazy, though)

Goal Weight: 120 lbs

Glories: Went to the gym both Monday and Tuesday, worked all day Wednesday which meant I was on my feet/bustling around for nine hours (I work as a hostess), worked yesterday for 5 hours.

Confessions: The last week or so I've been pigging out on Mexican food because I've been training a girl at my job and we get free food! Wednesday was especially bad!

Sorry too busy on Friday to post but did do my weigh in:

Starting : 126 lbs

Goal : 104 ish

Current : 123.4 lbs.

I seem to drop about 0.4 pounds every couple of days, then it goes up a bit then it goes back down.  Hopefully it'll just KEEP going down now with no more "uping!"

Confessions: Ate a double Snickers due to being in a bad mood and I've been drinking quite a bit of wine as I've been out a few times this week - tried to pick good food at the restaurants though.

Glories:  :(  no major ones.

Friday 6/13/08 WI:

Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 126.8 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs

Glories: No glories to share..... Worked late hours and Feeling tired

Confession:  had 1/2 cup of B&J Phish Food....

Have a great weekend.

mmmm, Phish Food <jaymo licks her lips.>

Today I weighed at the gym so I'm not sure how it differs from my scales at home.  Anyway, at the gym it flashed between 123.0 and 123.5 so I'm taking the middle and declaring that my ..

Current Weight = 123.2

Goal Weight = 104

Starting Weight = 126.

Glories: I've been to the gym 5 days this week, upped my weights and increased my speed and duration on the treadmill.

Confessions: I've not gone over my calories but I have had a few glasses of wine, but apart from that I've been good as gold.

I have to say that I'm more than just a little bit disappointed by this weeks weigh-in. I really really thought I was on for a good 2 pounds loss but it's only 0.2 lbs lost, and I'm not even sure if that's accurate.  To boost my moral I tell myself that I'm not losing weight because I'm gaining muscle but it's still very disheartening. :(

Wow Jaymo, congratulations on going to the gym every day this week and on losing ".2 lbs"!

Also, when I attended the WW meetings last year; they told us that when we start working out our muscles, that our weight would either stay the same or be higher for the first few weeks.  So, dont let your heart be troubled, and keep up the good work-outs.  It will balance itself.

Onward Jaymo!  you lost .2 lbs and it is better than not losing, or even better than gaining weight due to muscle gain.

I am encouraged by you and will start going to the gym to do strength training 2X per week.  I will also use my gazelle as a backup.   I will let you know how I do next week!

Chin UP!   Have a great weekend!

Maritza

Hello! A little late joining it looks like, but would love to participate! I started my diet on June, and decided to do my weigh ins on Wednesdays, which is my Monday, as I start my work week this day. Anyway, I am teaching my self to eat healthy. Before I had my daughter (who is almost 2) I never had to diet, and only weighed 98 pounds! I gained 50 while pregnant, and 6 months after the delivery, I weighed 114. When I started my diet on the 4th, I was back up to 134. I'm 4'11.75" so that put me in the "overweight" category! Yikes! So I'm getting off my butt and counting calories at least. My schedule with a daughter, hubby, working full time on night shifts, and trying to keep a house doesn't alow for much "me" time, in which I'd go to the gym. Also, think I may have a thyroid problem. Had a doctor's appt and show know those results any day now. Anyhow, I weighed myself on the 11th (Wednesday) and am down 5 pounds, or 129! I'm excited. And the thing is, I still eat what I want, and am full, only I've learned to make some adjustments and substitue! I'm loving it! I never thought I could do it, but I'm inspired! Looking forward to losing more and watching others do the same!

Thank you so much Ritzigirl for your words of encouragement - I could really use them.  I was quite pleased over the weekend as I had to buy a new bra and I seem to have gone down from a 34 to a 32 which made me smile.

Good luck with your gym sessions.  My son is booked into the gym creche every day again this week so I have to go; although my work out this morning was a little short to say the least.  Oh well, tomorrow's another day so onward and upward as they say.

Welcome mom2gabbi and well done on the 5 pound loss.

Friday 6/20/08 WI:

Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 129 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs

Glories: Well, I did make it to the gym 1 day this week to do strength-training and cardio everyday 45-60 minutes.

Confession:  this week's "splurge" was 6pcs (1sv) of Lindt chocolate little bites!   (3 svs p/bar).... I really enjoyed it though.... ;)

Comments:  I am dissapointed and a tad bit discouraged with the up and down trend of my weight.  (last week 126.8 this week 129)  BUT, I will focus on my end goal and remind myself, that "I've only just begun" my journey 26 days ago and take it a day at a time.

Is this group still open to join?  I am 5'1'' and a 1/2 I weigh 120. My goal weight is 110, but I would love to be 105. I am currently eating 1200 calories a day and I could really use some advice on what kind of workout to do for the best results. I am bigger around the bottom (aka my thighs and butt) any my area right below my belly button needs work too. Well if anyone would like to be my buddy just send me a message.

Hi,

Sorry I'm a bit late!  Weight today (which was actually Sunday not Friday) was 123.2 lbs.  Still going down by minute amounts but as Ritz said last week, at least I'm still going down!

Glories: None to mention.  I should have gone to the gym every day last week but I did my hip in on tuesday and had to cancel all subsequent sessions :(

Confessions: To many to mention!  Doing my hip in caused an onslaught of wine, chocolate, crisps (chips to you American folk) and all manner of other comfort aids.  "Och Well!" as they say in bonny Scotland.

Ritz, don't fret about your slight gain, I went up and down like a yoyo for the first month but now I'm going steadily down.  Slowly mind you, but still down.  Keep up the good work.  Also, do you get the feeling that it's just you and me in this group?  I'm not bothered mind you, I like the exclusivity! ;)
