Weekly check-in for July 18th
O.K., I know I am a little late in the weekly check-in. I went berry picking yesterday, then dinner with the family and forgotto post.
- Starting Weight: 114 lbs.
- Current Weight: 109.5 lbs. (down 2.0 lbs from last week)
- Goal Weight: 106 lbs.
I have been working hard - counting every calorie, preparing healthy meals, eating fewing portions and trying to stick to 1400 calories per day - I am usually more like 1500-1600, but I'm adding exercise. My husband is really proud of me.
I have had a few indulgences, like ice cream, but I stuck to small kid-size portions. I even had a beer last night - but just one.

TODAY: 104.8 lbs (my scale is prob 2-3 lbs too light)
GOAL: 100 lbs (+/- 3 lbs)
I was 100 lbs when I bought my wedding gown and it really is too tight on me right now. I have no motivation, maybe checking in will motivate me. The reason I am unmotivated is that I am fine right now, thin enough, generally happy, just out of shape enough to make the dress a wee bit uncomfortable ... it's like I lost my weight last year six months too soon. I want to be at my goal now, not in December and then I let myself gain 5lbs back since then. Ugh.
Gotta do this to keep motivation high ....... here is my new check-in:

Felt good this morning too .... been working out, working on developing core strength.

Oh, i also wanted to add i have the same problem as some of you here..... all my fat goes to my stomach... it's awful!! people actually think i'm pregnant! my arms and legs are super thin (husband says my legs look great haha! all that stationery bike works out great!!).
I am starting to do some abs exercise in hopes that may make some difference.

ratmammy I have the exact opposite problem as you lol. All my fat goes to my arms and to my legs too but especially my arms and my stomach looks pretty thin, well not thin but at least it isnt as much of a problem as my arms. What do you do to keep your arms and legs super thin or is it just natural? thanks.

hi Whitney!!! I realy wish i had YOUR problems girlfriend! Because i'm so thin all over, it makes me look pregnant, and i've been told several times that i look it. i'm not embarrased, it's just confirmation that i do need to lose weight.
i believe that the way my legs look thin (thank god!!!) is that i do exercise a lot - meaning, stationary bike and walking. i know, because my thighs used to be huge! but i'm much thinner there now. my husband says i have great legs, and he won't just say that! my arms i think are naturally thin, but i do lift weights to help.
i do not know how to get my stomach to lose it's pouch. it's really bad and has gotten worse lately.

I'm a bit upset because i'm having a hard time losing the weight... i have to say... i was on atkins for 2 weeks a few months ago and i lose 3 lbs in a week, which is still healthy....... but because i'm hypoglycemic i didn't want to continue... but really... i think eating more proteins and keeping the carbs to a minimum is probablyi the best way to lose weight. (plus exercise, about 2 hours a day).
hi ratmammy! how are you? believe me I really wish I had YOUR problems lol. my stomach looks alright, but I HATE how my arms and legs look so much I NEVER wear shorts and I hardly ever go out in public without some sort of jacket. I've gotten better at that as of lately but still there are days where it will be 80 something degrees and i will wear long sleaves if im feeling fat.
The only thing I do for my stomach is crunches on my ablounge. I do like a minimum of 50 max 100 everyday. I also eat pretty healthy most of the time. except for my binges =( which I have heard that diet has a lot to do with your stomach and getting it toned. I do exercise a lot but mostly just aerobic exercise and some weightlifting. I try to get to the gym once a week but usually i dont make it. I think my arms are looking better, but I would give anything to have thin stick arms . =(
Had a great weigh in today and have felt fabulous the past few days. Things are looking up. Maybe just 1 more lb before my wedding and I will be at a very excellent place. I really feel very good lately so no complaints from me, just gotta keep the motivation up for 5 more weeks!
Whitney, oddly enough, i too rarely go out without some sort of cover up and i rarely wear shorts but that's mostly because i think it's too cold here (san diego!). but i try to force myself to stop wearing longer sleeves all the time.. i guess maybe i feel self conscious too?
wow.......... that's great with the crunches!!! i am so bad with that... it's the only type of exercise i hate and i dont' do them at all. do you think this would help me and my stomach?
well, i sincerely wish i had your problem! a pregnant looking stomach is awful. good news, i did lose a lb between yesterday morning and this morning, so i'm so happy! i ate too much, about 1400 calories, but i stopped eating around 6pm and i did fine. i just drink a lot of water and frankly, i'm not hungry if i'm eating a lot of fiber and healthier foods.

I've been out on vacation and fallen off the band-wagon...havent posted my weigh in, so here it goes.
Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 126.4 lbs
Goal weight: 11 2 lbs
I weighed in at 124.2 for about 4 days but back at 126.4. My last WI-was on 7/11/08.
For now I want to lose the 2 lbs I gained during vacation and then take it down to 120.
Hey! I'm 15, 5'0 and 129 lbs, down from 133 lbs. My goal is 112 pounds. I have started running 3 miles a day and restricting my calories so I can lose around 2 pounds a week. Cross country starts in a week so my exercise is taken care of. What's getting to me is the hunger pains after my running and late night temptations. It's SO hard to control myself and once I eat something, I have to eat EVERYTHING. Gaah! How do I deal?

how about eating some popcorn late night? i dont' promote eating anything at all before going to bed, but if you must, maybe popcorn is good. it's high fiber so that's a good thing! as long as you aren't dousing it with butter, you should be ok!
Yeah..after going to college I gained 5 pounds maybe. I am 4'11" and 100 pounds right now. I would like to get to 95. I have been working out 4 days a week for an hour. I try to do a lot of intense workouts on the treadmill and then switch to elliptical. Any recommendations on how many calories to eat? I am always so confused about this.
omg ... im exactly the same height 4"11 3/4 but i round it to 5 and started on july 3 at 133 and weigh in about 129 hayley842.. how much do you weigh now? my goal was at about 115... but ill love to be about 110.. having a hard time with this 1200 calorie thing ...im always on the goal... any advice?
Hi all, I've been disconnected from cc for a while, and need to get back on the band-wagon. So here are my stats:
48 y/o - 4'11' 3/4 - going through menopause..I live in Miami
Goal weight: 116
Current (starting again) weight: 131 [lose 15 lbs]
Glories: I have been going to the gym 2X weekly for a circuit weight training routine for about 30 minutes. I also do 10-15 minutes on the cross trainer.
I am starting WW and point counting this coming week.

i'm 5' , and 129 lbs (9 stone 3). only down 5 lbs.
goal is about 100 lbs.
but i have a question for you all .... to have a 500 cal deficit, i need to only consume 1200, and this is trouble for me. i never am able to. sticking more to 1400. so weight loss is uber slow, (and then weekends sometimes happen and mess it up!!)
any suggestions? any of you have this trouble?

I'm in! I am 5'0 and 135 lbs. I want to get down to 110 (100 would be nice, but I will go with 110 for now). I am willing to take a year or so do it since eating 1200 calories a day is not good for my marriage. It makes me hangry (hungry/angry). I am trying to keep my calories at 1500-1700.
