petite girls wanting to lose 10-15 pounds!
I just joined this site in hopes of losing 12 pounds. I have gained about 10 in the past year (poor college kid) and would like to lose them. I am very short and even a little bit of weight gain shows on me, so I need to stop it now! I need supporters! be my friend!
I am 5 ft tall, 106-108 pounds, stubborn belly fat :-P and my goal weight is 95 pounds. and advice from anyone?

I want to get down to 99-103 ish! I would LOVE to be in the 90's. I want some leg room so I can start toning my body and won't fret when the muscle weight kicks in ^^;;;; I have muscles right now too, I think I'm just naturally muscular than my friends.. My short term right now's 105 :D hopefully I can drop to 100 ish pretty soon!
Hey I am in the same boat. Im 5'3.5 and weigh aboout 117. I used to be 106 untill I started college. ugh. How are you going about your weight loss. I have similar goals. If you could let me know that would be great thanks
I know how you feel. Im only 4ft7 but due to a disability I've always been overweight as I couldn't exercise and run around. I'm slightly better now and hoping to lose all the weight by september next year; but it would be great if I could lose some by christmas too. =]

College got the best of me T-T In hs, I had time to be active so I was 105ish and toned. I've definitely gain freshman 10 plus flab.. -___- I love food and it's really hard for me to turn away from sweet carbs.
I also have a problem if you guys dont mind helping me out. Im pretty much living with my boyfriend now and for some reason, he is against me losing weight (The only excuse he gives is that I'm fine). But I'm not happy with myself so I want to do it for me. (As for him, he has really good metabolism and time to exercise so hes slim) For him, food is one of the best things in life and he wants me to enjoy it too. Instead of eating less, he wants me to exercise but as you all know, you dont lose much if you do one w/o the other. During the summer, I exercised with him but because we ate out alot, I didnt lose much. We eat almost every lunch and dinner together and if I eat a small portion, or less meat and tons of veggies he gets annoyed. How do I handle this.

I know what you mean about even the slightest weight showing - I'm 5'3" and If I even gain 3 lbs, I can tell.
Right now I weigh 118, shooting for 100. Maybe 105, I don't want to look anorexic, Just thin.
I thought I was 5'3" for about a year...till the doc told me I was 5'2" and a little half lol

i'd liked to join. im not short as some on here. acully 5'5" about 118(i think last time i weighted myself) but im wanted to go down to 110 ish. size 1 agian.lol. and maybe this would help. hopefully ill stay with you guys.
I hope everyone here realizes that most of you are hoping to attain weights that are WAY to low for your heights, which are going to cause MAJOR problems as you get older.
BMIs should NOT be lower than 18.5.

i'm 16, 5ft2, and about 112 lbs..i wanna lose those 12 lbs...
problem is..I CAN'T..
i tried all the possible ways..exercising makes me burn calories but gain a lot of muscles=weight
cutting back calories leads my body to starvation mode, since i was an anorexic for about 3 years,,,and i only cut about 300 cals or so
upping calories makes me gain weight AS WELL
gosh plz any advice? i really dunno what to do!!

I don't know - I'm alright at being the weight I am as long as I remain the weight I am, but I know I am bottom heavy (I'm about 33-25-39 !!) and I think maybe I could do with just losing a few pounds? I'll still be bottom heavy as it is how I am built, but I think just a few pounds may be better for me as I think I am quite small-ly built. Trouble is that I love chocolate. And when I say I love it - I love it lots and love lots of it :D!! :o But then I excercise and I like that that means I can eat pretty much whatever I want to. But then, if I don't excercise for a while it shows pretty quick.
I used to do a lot of dancing and went through a period in my teens while though I was never strictly defined as having anything wrong with me, I got down to a pretty low weight (I went from about 100lbs which my 12 year old self decided was fat [a big regret - and if there is anyone in such a position at a young age, I would do anything to try to prevent you from thinking such a thing] to about 80 lbs at my lowest (not for very long at that low weight though)) and since then I have had a tendency to either eat too little or too much and yoyo a little, finding it hard to just eat normally. But I am alright where I am now and I kind of hope to be able to stay here or hopefully just lose a little bit and stay there. I am just not sure how to just lose that little bit in a good way.
I also wanted to post because most people who have posted seem to be in a similarly pretty much alright weight range for their height I think, so I think maybe we should just be satisfied where we are in a way? I'm not even sure I mind my big posterior really. Who cares in the end?

Pretty much I'd be happy if I was back at my 118 lb weight. Or so I say. I SHOULD be happy at that weight, but I want to get there much more healthily this time around.

Weight: 112 Goal: 100. My thighs and my stomach are my worst areas as well as many others' (: I used to dance when I was younger, and I've also inherited my mother's thighs which really need a good toning. I was going to go for 108, but 100 is such a pretty number to me. I won't go into it much, but I have a bit of an ocd with numbers divisible by 5. If something doesn't end in 0 or 5 I get a bit anxious about whatever it is and want to change it and 100 looks really nice to me.

I'm Emma. I'm 5"0 and my current weight is 120... the freshman 15 crept up on me slowly throughout college. I just graduated in May '08 and I need to get the weight off before it gets out of control!!! As you all know, weight on a petite figure is definitely noticeable! My problem area is my tummy... I seem to gain all of my weight there, and I'm tired of having a muffin top over my jeans. My goal weight is 105. Please buddy me!!
hello. I just joined this site today. my nutrition professor mentioned it in class and I already love it! I'm 5 feet and weigh 115. i want to lose 10 pounds by may. I take pilates once a week but the rest of the week im pretty lazy. im also a smoker so thats another excuse i use. i really want to quit so that i can enjoy exercising. but im scared that if i quit ill put on more weight. i've been at this weight for a year and this is the first time im really committed to getting healthy. i hate my love handels!
ive been reading some of these posts and i think its really cool that petite chics can empathize with each other :] gives me hope.
Hey I’m your not so average eighteen year old who feels perpetually stuck in that one week before you turn thirteen. I have social anxiety and have taken the last three years of high school online. This seems really silly for me to say this but “coming out” on calorie count is kind of a big deal for me. I mean I did not even “socialize” on the Internet until I made a facebook account, and got back in touch with some of my old elementary school classmates. This made me see how they have grown up and how I have just gone stagnant. I joined calorie count in late December of 2007 and I am finally getting around to utilizing the community aspect of calorie count.
I know I need to grow up and get on with my life, I just lack the motivation. I just want to feel confident when I look into the mirror instead of lulling myself into apathy just to get me out of the door. I have the opportunity to go to college this year but I feel like if I don’t get myself in shape I will not feel good enough about myself to go out and get my life started.
I haven’t reached an unhealthy level of weight for my height and age; I’m just out of shape.
I currently weigh 120lb at 5’2 and a half. I do not want to reach anything below 100lb so I’ll aim for 100-105lb.
I know that just loosing the weight will not solve all of my emotional hang-ups but it will hopefully have a healthy effect on my mind and body. I know that many people reported feeling better when they were in shape and not so down and out when they just sat around house. I hope to find the encouragement to get in shape here at calorie count.
I know this community is made up of a lot of caring and understanding people who have felt the things I have, this is what made finally getting around to introduce myself possible. Also wanting to change for the better (obviously) ![]()

I'm 19, living in the city as a student and actress. You'd think I would be in great shape, right?
Wrong. Well, I am... But I have issues with my thighs. I have a European heritage meaning I have wide-set hips naturally. However, around these thighs is disgusting fat. I've tried almost everything... I swim in summer, walk everywhere I can (of course) and take a yoga/Pilates class every other day.
I'm also a Pescatarian so red meat is out of my diet completely... Still nothing! I sued to be a size 5 in jeans... now I'm a freakin 7!

Hey! I am 18, 5'1, and currently I weigh 116lbs, though I am aiming for 105lbs. I think thats a good weight, personally I think girls with a little bit of something are more womanly... So any less than that would make me look like a little girl being that I am already so short. :)
I used to weigh 132lbs about 2 1/2 months ago... So 11 lbs left after already losing 16! Over halfway there, just have to stay motivated and continue down this path.
