I just joined this site in hopes of losing 12 pounds. I have gained about 10 in the past year (poor college kid) and would like to lose them. I am very short and even a little bit of weight gain shows on me, so I need to stop it now! I need supporters! be my friend!

I am 5 ft tall, 106-108 pounds, stubborn belly fat :-P and my goal weight is 95 pounds. and advice from anyone?

Hey everyone!

I just joined this site last week and it's been great!

I'm 5'1" and started at 120 lbs. I've already lost 2.5 but would like to get down to between 100 and 105. I hang out with a bunch of guys at college and because I hang out with them so much, I eat like them! I'm trying to combine a healthy diet with a decent cardio workout to get results.

Hey,  I have a question/need advice. I am 5'4" with a small frame and small bust an A cup, small frame and weigh 106lbs. Ideally I would like to weigh 103-104, will I loose those few pounds with maintaining a calorie intake of 1300? and if so how long would it take? what do you all think?

I believe many people would agree with me when I say that thats inherently unhealthy for a goal.

I've heard it said by someone on these CC forums that the rule of thumb is 100 for 5 feet, and then 5 pounds for every extra inch.

An ideal weight for you would probably be 120-140.

I don't know how old you are, but either way, that would be ideal for you.

103-104 would be good for someone from 4'10-5 feet.

Seriously. And this site is about staying healthy..

What I'd suggest is to up your calorie intake so that you don't accidentally fall into starvation mode (which may screw up your metabolism), and instead of just dieting.. excersize.

Afterall, muscle weighs more than fat does, but its also leaner. You want to get and stay healthy, afterall, not just rule your life by a number.

As for how long it would take.. CC has its own counter estimate, so you can punch in those numbers and figure it out.. but seriously, 106 for 5'4 is on the lowside in itself.

i'm 17, 5ft2.5, currently 125 lbs and want to get down to 110 lbs or a lil less :)

but..

now i'm eating between 400 -700 cals a day and want to increase those to 1000-1300 cals.. so i expect some weight gain at first :(

i planned to do this by increasing 100 cals every two weeks and exercise 1 hr daily rather than 2 hrs twice a week...
