We’ve now hit £1.04 / $2.16 a UK litre (that’s £4.73 / $9.83 a gallon) in the UK midlands.

 What’s everyone else on?

Right outside of Washington DC it's between $2.85 and $3.10 per gallon.
Here in Eastern PA it is ranging from 2.99 - 3.25 / gallon

$9.83 a gallon??/ WOW! I thought it was bad here! It's currently been around $3.09 (USD)  here in Missouri, my sister in Minnesota says it's much more there.

You know, I remember when I first got my license I wouldn't put gas in my car if it was over $1/gallon. I flat refused. I would walk. I would PEE MY PANTS if it got that low now!

PS: It's not like high school was all that long ago for me either, I just turned 24!

It is $3.05 in Green Bay, WI
Oh, and don't forget the E[add numbers] gas that I don't pay attention to because I just plain ol' don't drive but my fiance knows the proper name, ringing in at $2.53 a gallon, or about $2.00 if you shop a lot at Kroger.
Its 3.19 in central pennslyvania
$3.02 or something along those lines here in Western Mass
$2.96 / gal just yesterday here in STL.
Between,$2.87 and $2.94 a gallon here in OH depending on where you find it cheapest.
$3.10 USD per gallon here in Florida, and that's the cheapest one.
When I saw this subject line, I was reminded of a friends from college who was from England.  Everytime I'd tell him I had to go get get gas, he'd sigh and say, "Cant you call it petrol?  Do you have to call it 'gas' - that so vulgar."

:D
how many of you would buy a Hybrid car?  I would if i could afford them.  Last i heard, too much $$$ for me.
I would buy a Hybrid if I could. $3.05 in Northern Virginia.

LOL That's so funny!

I would have replied "Can't you call it the restroom? Do you have to call it "the toilet" that's so vulgar."

When gas prices started going up, I remember I said if they get past $2.00 I'm gonna have to buy a bike! Well, I still have not bought that bike! I'm also 22 yrs old and I started driving when I was 18 so it wasn't that long ago!

$2.87 for regular unleaded in southside virginia

And I can remember this

fall of 1998, gas was .85/gallon (I remember mentioning it in a letter to my mom who had just moved back to england)

fall of 2002, gas was $1.47/gallon

fall of 2005, (post-Katrina), gas was $3.76/gallon

the more conflict in the middle east, the higher speculative oil prices will be, and so for oil companies, more conflict = more fear = more profits.... something to keep in mind... FEARLESS!

Oh good they were that cheap at one time! I thought I was going crazy remembering .88/per gallon lol
