Spiders don't bother me to much, it's JUNE BUGS that I can't do! If I even hear one flying around I run inside. Their legs are so sticky and they have those hard shells!! Ick!

Also, wood in my mouth. I don't do toothpicks and I usually throw away the bottom part of Popsicles so I don't accidentally bite down on the stick. I cringe when my husband chews on toothpicks all day.

HAHAHHA!!! I forgot June Bugs. One time in highschool it was the summertime, must have been in the early 90s. We had them real bad that summer. There was this annual Super Sunday thing in a park where people played basketball and had fun and games, etc. I remember ducking and dodgeing them like crazy! One time one hit me in the head and I've been afraid ever since!!! LMAO!!!

I'm TERRIFIED of Michael Myers. Not the guy who plays Austin Powers, but the character in Halloween. I can watch the movies, because it's only natural to be scared in a horror movie. But when I see a picture of him when I'm out somewhere, if someone is dressed up as him, or if I hear the theme song, I go crazy. It's so bad that my mom even brought me to a therapist for it :/

1. cotton balls  <-- yes... those gross puffy white things... omigod, just thinking about them...  and yes, i will scream and run if you come near me with one... i know, i'm weird....

2. rodents <-- mice, gerbils, hamsters, bats, etc.... gross gross gross

This is going to sound really weird, but Homeless people scare me to death

and i dont know why, i just always have been.

and it doesn't help living in L.A either.

I have a specific fear of dead things (even bugs) coming back to life and somehow taking out their deadness on me.  Yes, it's strange, but there it is.  Maybe I saw too many horror movies as a child, I dunno, but I can't even sweep a dead bug off the floor, or vacuum it up.  Someone else has to do it, or it will sit there forever.

I fear being haunted too.  Yes, I'm afraid of ghosts.

I also fear making phone calls.  I don't mind people calling me, but I don't like calling other people.  I don't know why.  I just don't like to do it.  I'll put it off for days and days, even if it's urgent.  I'd rather talk to someone face to face or over the internet than call them up.

a few other people have touched on this, but i think my fear of needles/veins/blood is even less rational. i can't have anyone even TOUCH my wrists or inner elbow. i have trouble even saying the word "wrist" ewwwww i just think of razor blades, blood, etc. the thought of having blood drawn makes me physically nauseous and light-headed. i can't watch anyone have a needle put in their arm (inner elbow, where the veins are aggh). when our school sponsored a blood drive i knew there was NO way i would be able to do it, but i felt bad so i worked the front desk checking people in haha. i have no problem with shots in the upper arm, as long as it isn't directly into a vein. i'm literally feeling sick just thinking about it right now. eww eww eww. i realize this is irrational but i can't help it. the bad thing is i know i will have to have blood drawn at some point for a physical or something and i don't know what i will do... probably pass out!

Arachnaphobia is the scariest movie I have ever seen in my life!  I watch it with my daughters and we scream out loud every time. SCAWEY!

Have any of you been to Animal Kingdom at Disney World?  THey have this Bugs Life movie thing and at one point it feels like you are being stabbed in the back by a gigantic hornet and at the end it feels like tons of bugs ran underneath your seat.  EEEK!!!!

When I was little I got a woodtick on me and my mom pulled it off and flushed it down the toilet.  Then my dad said that they can crawl right back out and will come and find me later.  He thought it was funny, I couldn't sleep.

Death is my biggest phobia.  I can't think about it for more than 30 seconds at a time or it will throw me into a major anxiety attack.  And I've never had anyone close to me die so that hasn't helped with me dealing with it.  I want to live forever :(

The concept of an infinite universe also freaks me the hell out (weird, I know).  Like, if the universe goes on FOREVER.  Or if it doesn't, and it has an "edge", what's on the other side?!?Surprised

Spiders for sure.  But that's a common one.  lol

I have the EXACT same problem. I won't let anyone touch my veins/inner arms, see anyone get needles(even in the upper arm) and I go into full blown anxiety attacks just sitting in the waiting room for a blood test. I avoid any situation that would possibly invlove me getting needles, even travelling.  When I was in high school I had to get a blood test for mono, and was in the hospital for 8 hours because I kept going ballistic everytime a nurse would try to go near me.

It's really embarassing, but I can't seem to get rid of this irrational fear. I have found two ways to calm myself down slightly, though. I buy an EMLA patch which you can get over the counter. You put it on your vein an hour before a blood test and it completly freezes the area. You truely can't feel a thing. I also take two relaxents, which I forget the name of right now, but you stick them under your tounge and they make you a little stoned.

i have a phobia of sick:( i cant stand the stuff! if i ever am sick i actually cry like a serious maniac haha! but i have for 2 years (yn)

I have a fear of blowing up balloons.  When I was a kid I was blowing up a balloon and I over inflated it and it blew up in my face.  Ever since then I don't like blowing up balloons.

But I also have a fear of roaches.  The blacker and hairier they are the worse.  In St. Louis there are these gigantic black hairy legged roaches with long attenae that crawl up sink drains at night and get stuck in the sink and can't get out.  When you get up in the morning and turn on the kitchen light they scurry around in a mad frenzy in the sink.  I hate roaches.

The only thing I am afraid of is walking along a bridge or embankmant with water underneath.  I can't look down because I'll get sick to my stomach and start freaking out I know it sounds weird.

Like a lot of people I'm scared of the dark. I'm 23. But I would like to see what's about to attack me, if anything ever does.

I'm also scared of the automatic car washes.. oh and clowns. I hate clowns!

I am terrified of water!!!!!!

Oh & ALL STARCHY CARBS & SUGARS - ha ha ha!

I have agoraphobia

I'm like a few of you afraid of making phone calls

I also hate rodents, I've come to terms with gerbils

taphephobia, fear of being buried alive.

i'm EXTREMELY claustrophobic.

and i'm terrified of flying objects. frisbees, baseballs, something someone tosses to me from across the room.

im irrationally afraid of aliens that have almond faces and big eyes, tornados and falling through thin ice and not being able to find the hole i fell through.

this aren't just my quirkiest fears. these are more or less the only 3 things i am afraid of.

I'm terrified of being suffocated.
This includes being choked, strangled, drowning, plastic bag over the head, someone else's air being in my face, or my own expelled air getting sticky and hot. Basically anything where I can't get clean, fresh cool air. Even under the covers, I FREAK out.

Also, large bodies of water, where it's too deep to see the bottom. Totally illogical, but I ALWAYS think about jaws...Scary stuff.

Kinda freaked out about spiders, but only natural, not really a phobia.

My worst phobia is of being left alone. I had a nightmare when I was 7 that I was getting married. I had a gauzy veil on so everything was muted and had that gauzy look to it. Walked up the aisle, and the moment my 'groom' pulled the veil over my eyes, EVERYONE TURNED INTO SKELETONS. My family, friends, groom, even the priest. They all turned into skeletons then started ripping into my clothes and hair, and I'm screaming and running down the aisle...

Therapist said it was a fear of commitment...But that's totally not it. It's a fear of being alone, everyone I know and love dying, and me being without anyone. That's totally terrifying.
