It's really hard to tell from what one can see in those pictures.  What do your friends/doctor/parents/therapist think?

When I look at your pictures I think that a few more pounds would be a good idea, especially given that cameras tend add a few pounds.  However, nothing beats actually setting eyes on someone and I'm sure that your doctor/therapist/parents have an opinion.

I think you look great, but I think you would look even better if you were able to gain a little more weight.  Congratulations on recovery!

first of all, congratulations on your success, keep up this great work!.

Secondly: YOU LOOK GREAT, keep it up.

Aww! you look so happy and sparkly! :) Must be from how happy you are on how FANTASTIC you're doing! Keep it up! Whoo!

Anyhow, it's really hard to tell with pictures how much someone needs to lose/gain, and I'm unclear on how much you have gained/weighed since before those pictures, My best bet is just to say get yourself up to a healthy weight and keep on smiling, you're going great. I'm rooting for you! :)

Hey! you look adorable! I love the hat :) You're doing great but definitely still need to gain. While it is hard to tell with the clothes on I can tell that your arms are still very thin. You might just be like me, all my weight has gone to my torso and my arms and legs are still bony. I'm aiming for 5 more pounds for now, maybe start with that same goal then reevaluate. Of course check with your doc and friends too! Keep it up!

Girl, give me your tan.

That said, I think you look lovely (and I am jealous you look good in a hat), but could still do with more gaining. And as has been said, find out what your doctor, friends, family think too. It is much easier to assess a need to gain in person. Keep going, Malibu!

I just want to thank everyone for your thoughts and congrats…

however according to EVERYTHING I look at, my weight range should be at the low end at 118?

im 5'7 and weight 104

however being told I look great is enough proof that all these calculators and "health" stats to go by are kinda pointless. please dont harp on me to gain now that you kno my weight and height, but yall just proved what people think "looks great"

I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I think you look very very thin. I looked at your last post as well, and you should probably try to gain at least 10-15 pounds.

I totally agree with you that alot of those "calculators" and such are pointless but I remember this one health chart (from health class years ago) and for my height (5'6) and age range (16-25) the healthy range is between 125 to 140. I can't see 5'7 having a low end of 118 .....

Anywho keep up the great work!

Malibu: "Looking great" may be being used with thought in how you may have looked at a lower weight. I know I think I looked hideous 13.5lbs ago and even now I'm still not happy. You look good for having gained some but still have a ways to go. Now, ah. The low end (18.5) of the 5'7 height range is 119, but as you're recovering you'll want to gain higher than that to be within a safe healthy range. You want to be looking more at a BMI of 20 or so.

To be honest you still look too thin.I would think you would look amazing if you gain about 10 pounds maybe alil more. Just a heads up ,being 5'7 and you look like a small frame you should weigh around 123-136.A person who is 5'5 small frame should weigh 117 (that being the lowest). Thats why I like being tall because you could weigh alot(what seems to be alot in your head) and still look great.Keep up the good work and good luck reaching a healthy weight.

Honestly, you could stand to gain more.  Congrats on how far you have come.

Keep up the good work.

I honestly think the first few replies you got were people trying to be very encouraging, and I also agree with the last few replies that you look very very thin.  I love your clothes and the hat, but as far as weight goes, you need to gain at least 10 pounds, in my opinion.

Im afraid i agree with still TOO THIN! You should probably aim more for 120 -125lbs. I think that those recovering need that be in the middle of a healthy weight range in case of illness, accidental weight loss etc so they are not triggered in the future.

I am 5ft 7'' and about 109lbs so i probably look similarish in size to you and i definatly dont see it. Its fustrating. I have a photo of me when i had a bmi of around 15, so pretty emaciated, and i can still pick out everything that is i think is wrong, that is too big and too fat. I hate that i cant see ME looking back at me and not this whole other person that ed makes me see.

I must agree aswell. You look TOO THIN! You look happy though but with that said, I think you could gain like 10-15lbs. I am 5'6 and my range is like 125-135lbs. But keep up the good work.

i worked on an ed unit for four years.... so this is my $.02.......

if you are under %70 of your BMI..... you need to gain weight.... if you are not having a menstral cycle.... you need to gain weight..... if you are often drousy, weak or cold..... you need to gain weight and lastly if under those clothes your bones are very visable.... you need to gain weight......

with all that said.... it's a slow process and the weight should be gained back gradually.... just as if you were trying to loose, it will come off gradually.......

SO CONGRATS ON YOUR RECOVERY.... KEEP PUSHING!!!

Well you certainly look quite cheery. :) That's awesome, and you look great!

Yes, I think you need to gain more weight, but many congrats on what you've accomplished so far! The more you recover, the healthier you become every day. :) Keep at it!

You do look happy, but your arms and legs are so thin that they look fragile. Have someone close to you look at your naked back. If they can count the vertebrae, you're too thin. If there's a hollow underneath your collar bone, you're too thin. Are you menstruating? If not, you're too thin.

It's hard for those who are fighting obesity and food temptation to understand those who thrive on resisting it. I know that you might not see the same thing as I do when you look in the mirror, but as a woman, what I think looks best is strength. You don't look very strong or solid.

If you're gaining, keep up the good work. You're taller than I am and I'm shooting for 139 lbs.

i think the people saying you looked good were encouraging you to keep on fighting. you look very very thin, and not in a good way. you are beautiful but i'm afraid you might break

My suggestion is to up your calories, do a bit of weight training, and totally add both fat and muscle.  I think you would look great if you gained about 20 more pounds =]

def too thin i gotta say, sorry.

the people who were sayign "you look great" were being encouraging. you do look happy and probably much better than you did before, but you still look extremely thin. esp your arms and hands. and the fact that the jeans are baggyish make you look thinner

in recovery (this is my experience) you don't think you're thin until you've gained some weight. and then when you look back on your photos, you'll realise how thin you were. the other day i just looked at photos (which when i took i thought, i like how i look now! :D). but i looked at them and thought WOW and then ew.

that being said, don't just rely on calculators!
