There were so many reasons that I wanted/needed to change my lifestyle.
- I went to the doctor and was prediabetic.
- Going to theme parks and having a hard time fitting into rides with my kids.
- I have two teenage boys and I know they are getting to the age where this kind of thing is embarrassing to them; they have enough problems at this age that I didn't want them to have a "fat" mom too.
- Being told that I was so beautiful that I could be a PLUS sized model (talk about under handed compliment).
- My husband is UBER thin and I hate seeing my shadow next to his (Lmao).
- Always being the "fat" friend.
When I look back at my pre weight loss pictures, I have a hard time believing I was actually that size, I would not have believed it if I didn't see it ~ even though I KNEW the numbers on the scale and the size clothes I had to buy. I have always been one to hold head high no matter my size and I actually think I am critiquing my body more now then I did then.
I understand where you're coming from. I only have lost about 20 pounds, out of my goal of 60, and I don't see it at all. Everyone says stuff and all I think is What are you talking about? I look exactly the same!
But, I have to say, congrats. You really do look great. 60 pounds is a lot to lose. It looks like you have a ton of willpower. Just think of it this way. Even if you can't see yourself as someone different, you ARE a modified you. The scale doesn't lie. Even if your self-esteem is still low, know that the health benefits are great. You will live longer, and feel healthier, and the image thing will get there eventually too.
Just stick to your guns. I, myself, can only HOPE and try to get where you've gotten. Great job!
Hey there...you look absolutely FAB!! I am thrilled for you. I am 5'7'' @139/140lbs and while not overweight, realise how hard it is to lose weight...Keep it up!!!
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
